The food is awesome. The atmosphere is nice. The first time we went they thought they took long so they gave us free bread and took off my daughters Burger from the ticket. The second and third time we went around lunch they were real busy took long but the food was worth the wait.
***** 50th Birthday SURPRISE!
Recently my husband turned fifty years old, to celebrate this landmark birthday we decided to celebrate by going to Cabela's then enjoy lunch in Cherry Creek, one of our favorite areas. Looking for a special location for lunch I checked review's online and picked 'The Cherry Creek Grill'. What a great pick! Just walking in the door, we were impressed by the ambiance. The staff was welcoming and fun so I shared the information about our special occasion. They helped us select the perfect items assuring memorable occasion.
The food was great, fresh, and really tasty. Honestly, I didn't think anything could be better. Just then, our waitress came back to the table and said, "Happy Birthday lunch is on us"! This was so unexpected, I actually started to tear up. The waitress, Robin, looked over at me and said "please don't cry, you'll make me cry", so I jumped up and gave her a hug while thanking her prolifically.
We found ourselves walking to the vehicle in a daze talking only about the unique event. I was so stunned, that I completely forgot to tip them, and had run back. LOL!
Great time, great food, and a great surprise, the Cherry Creek Grill really delivers!

Always a huge wait to get in regardless of whether or not you have reservations. Overpriced food that just isn't very good. I've given place chance after chance but after ordering tri-tip ""steak"" and getting a plate of raw, grissle-filled horse-meat, I will no longer patronize this place. There are several better (and less expensive) options in the Cherry Creek area. My only guess as to how they've survived this long is their location. Service was decent enough which is why I give it 2 stars vs. 1.

I've been going here for years and have never had a disappointing meal. Of course in the last 10 years, the prices have gone up about 300%
Pros: great food, wonderful staff, pleasant decor
Cons: can get crowded - no reservations - and I can do without all the kids

Cherry Creek Grill was formerly a chain restaurant of Bandera Restaurants. Bandera had THEE BEST rotisserie chicken! Cherry Creek Grill claims Bandera-style chicken on their menu. This is not Bandera chicken. First attempt the food was cold. The second attempt the seasoning was some sort of Tex-Mex flavor and NOT the excellent savory flavor typical of that great Bandera chicken. In addition, it comes with Spanish rice. What a disappointment. I switched to coleslaw which was quite good. My friend also had the chicken but found it too peppery. Bandera served their wonderful corn bread with the chicken dinner. Now you have to pay $5.00 extra for the bread.
The waitress was good and accomodating.
In summary, go directly to Bandera Restaurants for authentic Bandera chicken.....accept no substitutes.

I have had several of the items on the menu, and wanted something new. Mom had the prime rib, I had a ribeye. Our steaks were cooked exactly right, the potatoes were amazing, and nothing was overseasoned. On top of that, the cuts of meat were HUGE! We also shared the duo dip with warm tortilla chips to begin with, very nice appetizer. We never save room for dessert here. A mistake I hope to rectify someday.

Someone who was not our waiter greeted us at the table right away and asked about drinks. Then our waiter Brandon arrived. This guy was simply great, he recommended an excellent bottle of wine according to my mothers specifications, and gave all-around fantastic service.

Ah Cherry Creek Grill! What would my holiday season be without my annual excursion to the golden shores of your vast ocean of deliciousness and service? Ahem, sorry. Perhaps I am still a little giddy from my experience here last night. For the last few years, my mom and I have come here for a special holiday meal. I have never had anything but a fantastic evening here. Is it because I come here at a special time of year with my mother and simply associate it with good times? Maybe. Is it because the food is fantastic? Probably. Is it because the service denotes exactly how a restaurant should be run? Most likely. Is it because a good looking waitress goosed me? No. That didn't happen. Maybe next year.

Seems like a pretty well-established Cherry Creek happy hour crowd. I arrived at about 6:30 and couldn't find a seat at the bar. One didn't come available for a good hour or two, which was fine --- I sat in a booth with my friend. She had the chicken ceasar, btw, which she liked a lot, all while stealing some of my Brussels sprouts. Who can blame her?
This is a good staple bar/restaurant. I'll definitely be coming back.

Earlier this week I had the wood-fire grilled salmon with mashed potatoes and sauteed Brussels sprouts. Yes, I love Brussels sprouts, and so when I heard them on special I pounced. Delicious! I almost went back for that same meal the next night but even I am not that self indulgent. So maybe tomorrow night? ;)

I love this restaurant! I have never been disappointed - ever. In fact, we were there last night and had great food, terrific wine and the wait service was attentive as usual. I'm not sure why others have had such bad experiences.
I must say that there are less cougars sitting at the bar than say a year ago. Those old chicks hardly wore any clothes but they were fun to watch!

I couldn't believe some of the reviews I read about my favorite restaurant. I LOVE this place! I have been going to this restaurant regularly, since they opened. The food is yummy, the atmosphere is cozy, there is fabulous energy in the room, you can have private conversations in the comfy booths, and the service is excellent. And the staff seems to work very hard to maintain consistency and good customer service. Really happy they let you carry out again.
CCG was one of our favorite places in Denver. In fact it was the first place we ate at when we moved to Denver. Back then (2002) it was a fun place, with really good food and very nice wait staff. I have no idea what happenend but the food has become worse than really bad diner food, the wait staff thinks that they are doing us a favor and the reservation policy is truly absurd.
The Macho salad, which was terrific for its flavor and presentation, has gotten appreciably smaller, the chicken is so tough you'd think it was from last year and the figs seem stale. The steak is equally tough--you could saddle it and ride off into the sunset. We can't figure out what happened to the food except they are cutting corners on quality.
The wait staff is obnoxious 20 somethings who think they have class. I had to disabuse them of this but they could not hold a candle to the worst wait staff in NYC. They don't have a clue about the food, they argue when you want to send a dish back because it is unpalatable and the haven't a clue how to behave in a service industry type job.
It is such a shame that CCG has gone down hill and that the staff seems to have no interest in making this restaurant all that they say it is cracked up to be.
Been here a couple of times. The service is horrible, the wine list is overpriced and predicable and the food is blah. It is an experience of $30,000 a year millionaires, and super uptight biddies, and 50 yr. old divorcees. Really at least the food should be good, but my salad came with rotted lettuce, which I was told was burned by frost, not rotten. The fact that the waiter wanted to argue about brown slimy lettuce told me all I needed to know about the attitude of this place. with so many other great places to go in Cherry Creek, avoid this place...
