I've been living at the Regatta for the last 15 months. At the end of March 2018 my apartment had an outbreak of bed bugs. I immediately contacted the office. I also threw out all my curtains, bedding, 2 new area carpets, new dog bed etc. I've had 8 treatments. Travis the apartment site manager assured me he'd move me to another apartment if the bugs were not gone within 3 weeks. When 3 weeks came and went Travis informed me I would not be allowed to move. The health inspector came and found live bed bugs. The regatta was cited and given 10 days to comply or be subject to fines. That's was back on May 15th. It's now June 12th and the bed bugs are still not gone. I'm furious with the lack of responsibility the maintenance supervisors Jake took. On one of the pest control visits he found the situation humorous and laughed out loud. I told him to either stop or get out of my apartment, there's is nothing funny about having bed bugs. The regional Adam along with his supervisor Emelia have been no help whatsoever. They have gone so far as to accuse me of making this situation worse. Most of my furniture was immediately disposed of and all clothing etc was washed dried and bagged up and has been that way for almost 2 and a half months. I have since found another bed bug case as recent as February 2018 near my apartment. The have hired two different pest control companies. Both neglected to treat adjacent apartments and grossly neglected to treat my entire apartment. I believe they have nested in the walls being that i have found them on my bathroom ceiling, kitchen sink along with all my baseboards and furniture. I've since found out I'm highly allergic to bed bugs and the bites have caused scaring on my arms, legs and torso front and back. I spend every weekend doing laundry! This has been a living nightmare.
If I could give this place a minus zero, I would! This place should be called SLUM VILLAGES AT GATEWAY! I am serious. Management is very unprofessional. You report something and nothing gets done!! You call for something to get fixed in your apartment and they show up weeks later if at all! There is a no smoking policy in the apartments and inside the buildings yet people smoke. There are bed bugs and roaches in the apartments. I have been bitten by the bed bugs. The air conditioner doesn't work. The buildings stairways are filthy and never get cleaned. Burnt out light bulbs in the hallways are replaced weeks later. As much as one calls to report these things to Management, nothing ever gets done. It falls on deaf ears. Yes, this place is a lot cheaper than most places in Denver, but trust me, it is worth paying a little more elsewhere and live in a clean environment where you will get your money's worth, be respected and have services done when you need them. Go to their website and check out what other tenants have posted about their experiences living at this ghetto. We will be moving OUT as soon as our lease is up.
My Amazing boyfriend and I chose to move into this place sight unseen when he saved me from a live of mediocrity in Cincinnati Ohio. We were very unsure because we hadn't seen the place but boy o boy were we in for a treat. Great gym, fantastic common room and super rad pool parties. On the real this place can be a bit pricy but its worth it knowing that everyone has to go though a criminal background check and are generally decent humans who can afford more than $800 monthly like the degenerates that live in rent by the hour motels on Colfax. If you are looking for a great place that is a real up and coming neighborhood close enough to nightlife that you can partake when you want but ignore when you don't this is the place for you!
This place came highly recommended by several affluent Denver women. However, I will never step foot in this estsblishment again after being reamed out by the owner, from across her store and in front of her customers. I had brought high-end boots in a few weeks ago and the owner offered a 90-day consignment, saying I could come get the boots anytime if they sold elsewhere. When they did online, I went to retrieve my boots based on the deal the owner presented to me and we agreed on. From across the store she screamed at me to never do business with her again, sarcastically thanked me for the polishing and cleaning they'd done on the boots - they were in perfect condition when I dropped them off! - told me I had wasted her time, and reiterated that it was a "pleasure doing business with me." It was embarrassing but mostly for her as she showed how terribly unprofessional and disrespectful as a business owner she is. If I were the customers who had witnessed this very unnecessary circumstance, I'd think twice about shopping here ever again.
Dr Leslie Vidal is fabulous! She was my surgeon when I broke my leg in two places. She has made me feel so comfortable in times when I have been scared and nervous. She is very knowledgeable and super friendly and just awesome. I would absolutely recommend her to everyone. So happy she was on call the night i injured myself. Thank you Dr Vidal from the bottom of my heart.
AC is a luxury not a right! It's over 90 degrees in my apartment. This building is falling down. The roof leaks in multiple locations. The hallways smell moldy. The balconies are in horrible disrepair. DO NOT RENT HERE

This apartment complex has to be the worse apartment complex I have ever had to endure in my life . They are disgusting and poorly managed. In the summer they have an infestation of spiders and in winter of roaches and mice . There is never anywhere to park your car which is inconvient .. And in the winter they do not clean out the parking lot . The snow was left in the parking lot for days without being moved for the safety or convience of the family . There is always loud noises especially if your on a lower floor . It's true you get what you pay for please do not move to this community , you will literally being saving yourself the headache of all the issues previously explained Also if you try calling the business 70% of the time the line will be transferred to a third party vendor who will tell you their phones are down and that they cannot recurve calls at this time
If you are looking to move in to the Lodo area please listen when I tell you DO NOT move in to the Westend Apartments it will be the worst decision you have ever made. First they offer 2 months of rent for free to get you in the door, they show you a beautiful apartment from afar but when you get up close the craftsmanship is very poor, there is paint everywhere, drafts and leaks that makes it so you can't even use your heat properly, splinters and screws all around the cheap ikea cabinets and stains on the vinyl floor and quartz counter tops that maintenance has been up to "take care" of 5-6 times, the carpets are not set properly and the sink continues to leak. The internet wiring is poor I pay for 125mb for internet and get 40mb cable company says its common for this building.There are consistent sewage leak smells in our building, not a hallway,elevator, window or door has been cleaned since move in 2 months ago, snow removal is a joke there is ice and snow lining the streets for 2+ days after a snow storm. It is embarrassing to bring guests and family to visit we have been opting to travel instead of bringing guests to our home and we pay $2000 per month for our rent.I have been in contact with management who has given me an ultimatum to leave under their terms while waiving their lease break fee but asking for the full $4000 in concessions to be returned to live in a place that 1500$ a month would be to much for. Management is extremely unprofessional I have been working with Tom who I can't help to feel has been extremely pompous and unreliable, I feel as if he acts like the issue matters but when it comes to response to emails, problems with the property execution is always a miss.Politics play a great part in the leasing office as from what I have been told upper management and the leasing managers are personal friends and that is why nothing gets done.Rene, Yessica, and Marcos have been nothing but helpful from day one and have tried to accommodate our issues as much as possible but a team is really only as good as their quarterback. If you tour this property please stop and ask the first resident what they think about the Westend Apartments I sure wish I would have, I guarantee you will hear a similar take on my review.Management please look at your West End Active building survey your answers are all there. I have also heard that management incentives residents monetarily for their positive reviews.
