Over the years, I've taken my cars to the dealerships, and a whole bunch of mechanics and auto shops with big ads in the Yellow Pages. Sam and all the mechanics at SA Automotive Repair are the only ones who are honest and competent. They fixed a hose on my truck the dealership said was a $1900 catalytic converter problem and charged me under a hundred bucks with the oil change, too! When the transmission went out in my Subaru, it was just before Christmas, and dealerships and places were quoting me more than you can believe. SA Auto got me a new transmission at the best price of ten other shops, and I had my Subaru all fixed by Christmas! Best part: They took the time to teach me about transmission maintenance, fluid, and all the other things a busy mother of three needs to know. And they spotted a tail light bulb was burned out. I'm impressed! Ladies, if you've ever been ripped off by a mechanic, and we all have, get you and your car over to SA Automotive Repair. They're just east of I-25 on Evans. They sell cars, too, and if you see something you like, you can trust them that the car is in great shape and will give you reliable transportation for years to come. I never write reviews but they deserve it. Finding an honest mechanic is like winning the lottery, and I'm happy and grateful to share with y'all! I can't say more positive things about this place. Eric (the mechanic/owner) is a fantastic resource--honest, hardworking, delivers on time and on budget. I've dealt with many mechanics over the years before finding HTS--now I head straight here when I need anything car-related. A few things I really value: 1. He will tell you what needs to be done immediately, what can wait a few months, and what things you'll need to think about 6+ months out. 2. He'll tell you how you can knock a few dollars off and give you an honest recommendation--sometimes used parts save you money (and he'll source them for you and get them delivered), sometimes it's only a little more expensive to just buy new. He'll tell you his recommendation and then let you decide. 3. I call and he'll get me in as soon as possible, usually the next day. 4. After I drop my car off, he'll call/text (whatever works for me that day) and tell me what's happening and how much it's going to cost. Then I authorize the work and he makes it happen. 5. Whenever I'm considering buying a car, I always take it to Eric and have him check it out first. He'll do a thorough inspection for a great price and help make sure that you're getting a good deal (or let you know if someone's done shoddy work that will only end up costing you money in the long run). Seriously, this place has diagnosed problems that other people gave me GIGANTIC quotes for because they really don't know what's wrong. HTS has saved me thousands of dollars and keeps my cars running smooth. I live in Lafayette/Boulder and it's worth the trip down to HTS.
My experience at Matrix started off great. I took my car in, had Tony- who runs the office, i believe- look it over and give me a time estimate. He said he could have all part ordered and in within a few days. I was so excited it would be done quickly. So, brought in my car, got my rental and waited to hear when it would be done. With Labor Day approaching, and with me going out of town, I actually left my car with them an additional 4 days and told them I'd be in first thing that Tuesday to pick it up. When I did, my alignment had not been fixed, which I didn't know till I had driven off and they didn't even clean my car!! He said they were planning to do that and were expecting me later that day. I said I had left the car with them extra days and didn't understand why it was not done. The following day, my seatbelt broke. It took him 5 days to get a new one in. What?!?! Kept saying the order didn't process correctly. Then I had to go back in to have the alignment finally finished. I was told me car would be detailed out for me then. Picked it up that day, and nope, sure enough. Not cleaned and he practically laughed when I asked why not. The customer service was ridiculous. I was the one constantly calling to check on things, so much was forgotten and, clearly, they just don't care about a full service, excellent experience. I will never go back. Hope this helps others make the best decision to keep looking for another shop!
I would just like to take a moment to tell you how I feel about Tildens on Speer. I have been a long time customer of theirs for over 15 years and will continue to be a customer along with my wife, my mother, my daughters my friends and my co-workers. Tildens always treats my people with courtesy and professionalism. I feel comfortable with sending anyone there because I know they will be treated honestly and fairly and they back their work to the fullest. My daughters, ranging from 18-21 years old, take their cars there at the hint of trouble and I know they are taken care of. Not only doing cars but little things like making sure they have rides to and from school and just genuinely caring. I told a friend of mine to take his 64 Mustang to them after it had sat for years and was given to him after death in family and he couldn’t have been happier with the work they did and the costs. Kevin the service mgr has personally given me his car when my car was down so that I could get to a doctors appt! Marc and Kevin run a wonderfully honest and trustworthy repair shop which these days are hard to find. I have and will continue to highly recommend Tildens to my family and anyone who needs any type of car service! I've worked with many repair shops over the years. I've had not only great customer care but also excellent service for my two vehicles, a Ford Explorer and Hyundai Sonata. The owner of the shop is Dave. He's a straight-shooter and upstanding man. I trust what he tells me and he goes the extra mile for my vehicles (and for his customers.) Dave and his team have been great with my Ford Explorer. I brought it in initially just for an oil change and all around checkup. We talked the 120k maintenance and he let me know just what I should do now and what I can wait on. I shopped around for prices and have had all the work done by All Pro Auto (this was 6 week ago.) I had an issue with the harmonic balancer on my Hyundai Sonata. I brought it in overnight and after we discussed it the following morning, I was driving again later that day. You want to work with All Pro Auto Repair. The prices are reasonable and the talent sublime. He's been in business here in Denver for a long time, too. I wrote that review several weeks ago. I brought my Explorer back in for a turn-signal problem. Once again, they absolutely nailed it. I don't shop around anymore. I just trust All Pro Auto.
i have been taking my car to these guys for about a year and a half, and in that time, Dave and his guys have been incredibly helpful and efficient in the repairing of my car. i drive a volkswagon jetta and like to hit pot holes.. they did the job for $600 less than the offer i received from another mechanic, re-diagnosed the car and found a couple more different problems, (still 600 dollars less) and they worked around MY schedule to make it happen, with follow ups. Also, In this time he opted not to sell me tires because i could get them cheaper elsewhere, has lifted my car up a FEW times and not charged me a cent, had a pair of bolts go missing from some work i had done on my sway bar from them, HE bit the cost of the bolts and installed them for free.. WHAT! Little white kid walking into a mechanic shop with a busted car, think about it.. Awesome customer service, prices, and conversation. TAKE YOUR CAR TO THESE GUYS
About "Got engine replaced there..." For some reason Yellow Pages didn't allow me to write any Updates to my first review. My "problem" (it wasn't a problem) with the engine was resolved in a few days. Denver Auto Care became my only car service... After they finish fixing my car, it felt better than before. Finaly I got great V6 engine. Summarizing everything, Denver Auto Care saved me about $800. And Yellow Pages didn't allow me to write about it. For a few months so far Yellow Pages kept my outdated review. It feels like I should write review about them, not about Denver Auto Care lol. What can I say... everybody can write everything about everything on the web. And AT&T (yellow pages provider) doesn't even respond to my raports about my uability to log in and edit my own reviews. Chris (this same who disrespected Denver Auto Care a few months ago)
OK. They get the job done, but do not follow up with you at all! Even after repeatedly being asked to please call and update on the status of the repair - no one calls. You have stay on top of them and call repeteadly to get the ball rolling. Unprofessional communication style. No consideration for the customer's valued time. Left the car after verbally confirming a two to four hour repair, they took apart the car that afternoon and left for the evening without consulting me first. They ended up keeping the car for two and half days! If you take your car here for repair either expect to part with it for a few days or be VERY THOROUGH in your expectations about the timeliness of the service. Value: OK, they won't give you a crazy deal, but it's not as expensive as most other shops.
De Lunas rocks! Tires are SUPER cheap and if youre getting used tires these ones here are barely used! Ive even bought snow tires from here before with studs still on the tire like it was new. I come all the way from Littleton just to buy tires from this guy. Hes super nice and WILL NOT give you the wrong tires. Dont know what this other persons review is about. Must be nonsense . Anyone having an issue with this man must be totally confused. he wont even sell you tires if they dont pass balancing inspection which he does free right in front of you. i know first hand because ive seen him throw on a tire on my rim balance it and rip it off and throw it away because it didn't balance correctly. My time is the most valuable thing that i have to offer to this community and the staff at Guzman tire shop truly understands the value of their customers time. Prompt professional and friendly. They did not have the tires i needed in stock (not surprising because my truck weighs 7000 pounds) but they had them delivered within the hour. It seems unlikely that after such a terrible ordeal as having a tire blow out on I25 that i would have anything good to say about my day , but, here we are. Guzman tire shop got me in and out and to my paying customer on time...... THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!! These guys are great.
