About Search Results

YP - The Real Yellow PagesSM - helps you find the right local businesses to meet your specific needs. Search results are sorted by a combination of factors to give you a set of choices in response to your search criteria. These factors are similar to those you might use to determine which business to select from a local Yellow Pages directory, including proximity to where you are searching, expertise in the specific services or products you need, and comprehensive business information to help evaluate a business's suitability for you. “Preferred” listings, or those with featured website buttons, indicate YP advertisers who directly provide information about their businesses to help consumers make more informed buying decisions. YP advertisers receive higher placement in the default ordering of search results and may appear in sponsored listings on the top, side, or bottom of the search results page.

My family and I closed on our home on January 25, 2016 after more than 6 months of delays. After closing we have had nothing but problems with customer care and our warranty. Our customer care representative doesn't reply to emails and disregards them, and now after waiting for our yards to be done for more than 4 months after we were told they would be done Oakwood cant even give me a date of when they plan on getting them done. They have had our money to get our yards done since January and now in the end ou June we still don't know when they plan on getting their act together standing by their word and finishing our yards. I incurange anyone who is thinking on buying form Oakwood to really reconcider before making that decition or you will regret it for many years to come. I know I have. It is amazing the lack of care for making sure that a home they built and sold is in good condition and that they give the buyer everything they PAID for in a reasonable time.

If you are looking to move in to the Lodo area please listen when I tell you DO NOT move in to the Westend Apartments it will be the worst decision you have ever made. First they offer 2 months of rent for free to get you in the door, they show you a beautiful apartment from afar but when you get up close the craftsmanship is very poor, there is paint everywhere, drafts and leaks that makes it so you can't even use your heat properly, splinters and screws all around the cheap ikea cabinets and stains on the vinyl floor and quartz counter tops that maintenance has been up to "take care" of 5-6 times, the carpets are not set properly and the sink continues to leak. The internet wiring is poor I pay for 125mb for internet and get 40mb cable company says its common for this building. There are consistent sewage leak smells in our building, not a hallway, elevator, window or door has been cleaned since move in 2 months ago, snow removal is a joke there is ice and snow lining the streets for 2+ days after a snow storm. It is embarrassing to bring guests and family to visit we have been opting to travel instead of bringing guests to our home and we pay $2000 per month for our rent.I have been in contact with management who has given me an ultimatum to leave under their terms while waiving their lease break fee but asking for the full $4000 in concessions to be returned to live in a place that 1500$ a month would be to much for. Management is extremely unprofessional I have been working with Tom who I can't help to feel has been extremely pompous and unreliable, I feel as if he acts like the issue matters but when it comes to response to emails, problems with the property execution is always a miss.Politics play a great part in the leasing office as from what I have been told upper management and the leasing managers are personal friends and that is why nothing gets done.Rene, Yessica, and Marcos have been nothing but helpful from day one and have tried to accommodate our issues as much as possible but a team is really only as good as their quarterback. If you tour this property please stop and ask the first resident what they think about the Westend Apartments I sure wish I would have, I guarantee you will hear a similar take on my review.Management please look at your West End Active building survey your answers are all there. I have also heard that management incentives residents monetarily for their positive reviews. Perhaps they will monetarily incentivize me to take this one down.

Alpert Homes

We purchased a new home from A...

We purchased a new home from Alpert Custom Homes in June of 2012 and we had an absolutely terrible experience with the last 90 days of construction and the closing. In an effort to maintain fairness and establish validity in our review we refrained from posting our opinions immediately – we were very upset and didn't think it was the best time to rant about our experience. Also, there is a one year warranty period promised by Alpert Custom Homes and we thought this may be an opportunity to mend the relationship and sway our opinion. If you don't have time for the messy detail the last paragraph summarizes our feelings. To begin, we had several issues leading up to the closing. The Alpert Homes representative failed to articulate to us that a drainage grate would be on our property and that our back yard would be nearly uninhabitable in that it is sloped to drain the community’s water through our yard to that grate. Despite several complaints we were simply put off and/or ignored by Alpert and no effort was made to compensate us for the issue with the grate.Leading up to closing there were delays on the part of the company setting up the mortgage. Alpert threatened to take the house away from us and list it for sale to another buyer despite this delay not being our fault. Understandably the builder does not want to incur costs to 'float' the house but it is essential to note that this is a matter of two weeks of delay in which we received this threat - when we started the home buying process the estimated completion was August, not June. We were moving in 2 and 1/2 months ahead of our schedule and planned finances at Alpert’s behest, but he could not wait two weeks before threatening us.As illustrated by the situation to this point there were many tense feelings in the room at the closing but there was no need to have things escalate any further. After the closing was complete and we had the keys Mr. Alpert decided that we need to “clear the air” about what happened and proceeded to blame us for all of the difficulty. The sale was complete, there was no need to rehash the hard feelings and even less to try and make the customer (us) feel as though the hardship was our fault. This directly contradicts presenting yourself as a customer satisfaction oriented business. Now we've given them a year to stand by their warranty promises and perhaps show us that they really are a customer satisfaction driven company. Unfortunately this too has proven to be an utter mess. We have had a list of about 10 items to fix since the first follow up at day 30. As of today exactly 1 of them has been addressed. Our yard that we complained about in the beginning has turned out to be a bigger mess than ever expected. We have a huge mosquito problem and our pets have gotten ill from the standing water that results from our poorly formed yard. We've made repeated complaints over the course of the year only to be brushed aside again and again. Please, to anyone who is reading this and considering buying a home, think long and hard before choosing Alpert Custom Homes. He will promise you that the customer (and by proxy their reputation) is their first priority but this is not the case. The first priority of Alpert Homes is your money. Expect no concession on any problems with your home or any issues that delay their payday. Our neighbor has had his 30 day warranty requests completed immediately as opposed to our warranty items that have been outstanding for over a year. So, not only do they not care about their customers but they’ll also harbor a grudge if you disagree with them. We endured an extra cost to pay for Alpert Homes being a ‘custom’ builder with a 'great' reputation for customer service, but don’t be fooled - they’re just another money driven builder. Whatever goodwill and respect Mr. Alpert Sr. may have built during his career as a builder is now being destroyed by the next generation.

Hurricane Drain & Plumbing

Do not call this company if you want someone to stand by their service, including property damage. Not only did they fail to fix the initial problem, but they broke the toilet in the process. When called on it, they indicated that they didn't do it and they wouldn't cover the damage. This was only after I spent over a month following up on the problem.

The people at Pasterkamp were friendly and informative. They helped me decide on the best AC option for our home, and we've been comfortable ever since! I would suggest them to all of my friends, family and neighbors!
