From what I could tell, Gary did a great job on my personal taxes. Unfortunately with my business taxes I can't say the same. My business taxes were filed completely incorrectly and submitted to the wrong state. Gary had no interest in fixing the problem as I brought it up over the course of 3 months, starting in March when I was first informed by a state that taxes weren't filed. Gary just wanted to point fingers at everybody else, and wanted me to clean up the mess he made. Too bad I have no clue what I'm doing, and went specifically to a professional in order to handle it all for me.After ignored emails and phone calls, I called again and was able to speak to Gary. He gave me the same spiel he had told me the last several times we spoke, which was basically for me to do the work myself. Then Gary Bayer hung up on me when I explained to him that I was relying on him to do the work (as I have no clue how to do it, and that's why I was paying a professional) and that he had put me in the position. This old man may be just a little bit senile. You should probably look for a different accountant if you're considering him.

Carol Klimmer, President of Grant Street Associates Inc. and Managing Partner of Trinity Properties a Colorado Partnership was our family and business accountant for a number of years, starting in about 1993 partway through 2013 when she was terminated.A potential client should be aware that Carol Klimmer is not a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), so is not subject to professional licensing standards or sanctions. The full impact of this fact may only become apparent in the unfortunate event a dispute should occur at some future date. Should you decide to retain her after reading this review, be sure to obtain a Letter of Engagement (LOE) that spells out fee structure, standards of practice, confidentiality, and especially, one that fully addresses return of client records during and after disengagement. A good practice is that the LOE be renewed annually. She has threatened action against me for other reviews posted here that she erroneously attributes to me, so I wanted to be sure and set the record straight using my own name.I may be contacted at craigbaker AT mtnhomes.com
Klimmer did a great job on our taxes, right up until she inexplicably stopped talking to us. I could go into great detail, but I honestly don't want to relive the experience. In a nutshell, she didn't file our taxes and lied repeatedly as to why they weren't done. She must have had fifty crazy excuses, and a lot of squirrels with a craving for telephone wire. In the end, it took YEARS to get our records back, and a number of trips and calls to the IRS just to stay out of trouble with them. The only reason I couldn't resolve this matter professionally is because Carol is/was not a CPA. This meant I had no recourse other than to wait. I would rather a chimp handle my business records than deal with Klimmer ever again. And now I am traumatized.Worst. Experience. Ever.
