We have been with Aurora Marine for 30 years. We have bought 3 boats from them. All of our service has been with Dennis. Dennis has gone out of his way to help us in so many ways at a moment's notice! We appreciate Dennis' work ethic, professionalism, and knowledge! Thank You Dennis and your team. DO NOT TAKE YOUR BOAT HERE!!! Especially if you are a woman! They treat women very disrespectfully, and the owner Dennis is the worst one! During our initial call, we asked to have the steering lines bled and refilled, as this is what we had been instructed to do by another reputable marine repair center, Crowley Marine (take your boats there!) We wanted to get our boat taken care of quickly, and Crowley was a little backed up, so we thought we would give this place a try. On the first phone call, the technician, Chris, told us that there must be a leak if the lines needed fluid. Makes sense, so we took the boat to see him. As you would expect, my husband asked him to check for a problem and let us know what the remedy they recommend would be. Seems like this is how most businesses would operate right? Not in this case....I called a week later to get an update and see if there was a diagnosis, or if there was no problem was the boat ready? Dennis treated me like I was stupid, and was very rude on the phone. When he put the technician on the phone, the tech told me my husband had authorized them to do whatever they wanted to fix the boat. Seriously?! Who does that?! I've never had any service/repair center think they had carte blanche to spend your money without telling you the problem and the estimated cost to fix it first. Hubby called to speak to the owner to share his feelings about how his wife was spoken too, not knowing he was speaking to the culprit. Their response.....come pick up your boat, we'll leave it outside, we don't want to work with you. Really?! This is how you treat bona fide customers, and then just leave their possessions outside on the street. What bad customer service!!! Like my momma always told me, you get what you pay for!!! I will wait to deal with the professionals at Crowley from now on!
