I was in this store Saturday Nov. 12, 2016, I found oxtails that was supposed to be priced 3.99 lb. was priced 4.99 per lb., I wanted to buy ham that was priced at .99, but when I got to the register, was told the price was incorrect even though it was wrapped and sealed with that price, the manager would not let me buy it for that price, I told him that it was supposed to sell for the price on the package, but he would not do the right thing.I am visiting from CT, and I know this is wrong.
I first discovered Patel's while living in NYC and was a bit pleased to see that there was a location here in Decatur. Patel's is an Indian grocery store carries lots of spices, sauces and foods from that region. You can buy saffron ice cream, sauce to make butter chicken, warm samosas and parathas.
I am a weekly Aldi shopper for the basics and am always impressed by the quality of the fresh fruits and vegetables for the prices. I also purchase meat, eggs and milk there in addition to baking products. You have to remember to have your .25 ready to get a cart and pack your bags but it's worth the savings.
Cutest candy/toy/liquor store! They offer birthday parties, old fashion toys and an assortment of candy & home made fudge in whatever quantities you want!
Terrible customer service....I will not visit this store again....
If there's a long line.. The owner will open a lane!!
If your not satisfied with service then go right across the street to Fresh Valu (old Kroger) and you can ask for the owner and he'll take care of you!! That's Me!!
This is a horrible place to shop. I just bought a house in the area and my ritual is to walk to a store as exercise and buy groceries and come back. When I got there the owner was treating his workers like slaves unloading a truck outside. I still gave it a chance and was rudely beckoned to leave my jogging bag in a dirty bin at the front of the store. Why would I have to do that when you have detectors? It was a horrible experience to see employees treated like slaves and customers treated like criminals before they even enter. Please shop somewhere else at all costs. I will drive miles away for my groceries and just go to the nearby Chevron for small items from now on.
