Overall
Don't expect their service man...

Don't expect their service man (Ray) and manager (Leon) to treat you with any respect nor care about your business. I asked Clark Gas to install gas lines in a new construction home I was building. No problem, they send out Ray, he says it's not going to be a problem, they can do it, and writes me an estimate. Tells me it's an estimate but should be pretty close since he's so experienced and has been doing this for so long. They return to do the job, "works" about 2 hours digging one 20' trench with a machine. I could have dug it by hand in 30 minutes. Then tells me he has to leave because someone else just called wanting a tank installed, so basically my calling ahead of time wasn't important to them. He comes back a few days later claims h worked for another 2 hours and put 3 pieces of copper pipe with valves attached through the floors. At this point he had reached the amount of hours he had estimated and had yet to install one single piece of pipe under the floor. I stopped them at this point. After i told their office to not send out Ray again, he arrives at my house 30 minutes later and walks into my home, gets in my face and tells me if i could do what he did in less than the time he did he would "kiss my *ss".. that's a direct quote. After a heated argument where he made it clear that he thought i knew nothing I kicked him out of my home. I called the office, informed them what had happened and they said leon the mgr would call me. He did hours later and said that the work Ray had done matched the hours, whether it matched his written estimate or not. He never apologized for his service man coming into my home and cursing and styarting an argument with me. Ray told me during our argument that the estimate of hours was made with the assumption he would have 2 people working on the job. So i asked "Shouldn't i get the time cut in half then since there was only one person working, that doesn't seem very logical" I was simply told no by both leon and Ray. Leon, the managers solution to the problem was to "never write estimates again" as if my assuming that an estimate is to be at least in the ballpark of the finished price, not double which is what it would have been was the problem. I asked if this was their first day on the job that they could not come up with a suitable way to estimate gas installations given their "extensive experience" in the field. If there was a way i could dig up my $1200 underground propane tank and uninstall my $1500 gas fireplace I would and leave it in their parking lot. I will never use them for anything ever again and will talk negatively about them to everyone I know. Not because I enjoy it, but becuase it is the only form of justice I have available to me.
