Ace Diamond Jewelers is one of the best Jewelry companies i have ever been too. I was recommend by a friend to go and buy a Pandora Bracelet. When i walked into Ace they welcomed me instantly. I was instantly asked if I wanted to look at anything. They offer and very nice and wide variety of all kinds of jewelry. i felt safe and i felt that they had knowledge of the product i wanted. I had the pleasure of meeting the owner and finding out they have been in business for 30+ years having 2 other locations. Great customer service, wonderful employees, and magnificent deals. I recommend Ace Diamond Jewelers to anyone who wants to get the best for there money. Who wants a company with knowledge of there product and great deals go to ACE!!!!! you won't be disappointed and you won't be upset. I known only go to Ace to get jewelry. I don't trust anyone else.

I'd give NO star if that was an option. This place is loaded with CHEATS and LIARS. ACE's newspaper ADS are a never get what their AD says you'll get. Oh and don't be fooled by their ""AAA Diamonds and Gold"" pawnshop down the street either. I tried to sell some of my gold and silver coins to Ace. I couldn't believe ""Casey"" the salesperson could stand and look at me with a straight face. As I was very dissatisfied with their ridiculously low offer, I packed it up and left post-haste! Best advice in 2012 to potential shoppers...Don't be a fool. Don't go to ACE Diamond Jewelers. Happy New Year. You've just saved money by reading this review.

When I came into Ace, after seeing a large ad in the newspaper, I was expecting to sell my jewelry, not have it stolen from me. I am saving up to purchase an engagement ring and was downright pissed when they offered me a laughable price after the two other stores I have been to previously.

If looking to sell gold, I would not waste your time going to Ace.

I looked up gold buyers in Dearborn online and saw ace buying gold jewelry. They say they pay TOP dollar...this was a lie. I went to 3 different places on my way to Ace and they were ONE HUNDRED AND ELEVEN dollars less than the LOWEST quote.

on their website they ""treat everyone like family""...would YOU screw your OWN family??? ACE WILL!!!! Must be how they pay for the bentleys in the parking lot!!!

I will tell every single person i meet NOT to go there!!

I went in on a friday to sell my diamond ring and receved what I though was a good price but did not sell that day.I went back in on monday and the lady that helped me was not there. Some rude fat chick with brown hair looked at the ring and gave me a price that was $160.00 less than the lady on monday. She told me that gold went down over the weekend and that was the best price I was going to get. I then started looking for other jewelry stores and found one that gave me $400.00 more than the first ladies price on monday. I would never go to this place to sell my jewelry or even look for new jewelry . this place is a RIP OFF I SUGGEST YOU LOOK FOR ANOTHER PLACE TO SELL YOUR JEWELRY.

OK, but avoid KAREN

Not a bad jewelry store. But, if you want to go here, I would strongly suggest that you avoid KAREN at all costs. She's rude and clearly doesn't care about customers. The rest of the sales staff is fairly nice. If there are other reputable jewelry stores in your area, you may want to start there first.

Great place, low prices, friendly people

Over the last 3 years I have purchased about 12-15 items from ace. I am a GIA certified gemologist and make a living as a colored stone importer. I important over 1 million carats of loose stones annualy and am very active in the gem and jewelry business from a wholesale end. Ace offers the public true wholesale pricing on their show room floor. They do have a large selection of quality and sizes in regards to diamonds so it is possible to walk in and see a poor quality diamond as some of the other reviewers have written, but consumers must understand not everybody has $8,000 to spend on a 1 carat flawless D color diamond. To meet the needs of the public a jewelry store should carry a range of qualities and sizes to meet the buyers budget.

I can honestly say, they have the lowest prices in Michigan. They are also very honest people. Many comparable jewelery stores are selling glass filled diamonds, and most people including many gemologists can not tell the difference even with a loupe. Ace does NOT sell clarity enhanced diamonds and that speaks clearly on their commitment to providing the buyer with the exact stone they are promised.

The last time I visited Ace i was even introduced to the owner (Carl) who was very pleasant and easy going. I have never been treated snobby, and the first 2 times I went in their showroom I was in a hooded sweater and blue jeans (they also did not know I was a GIA certified gemologist). I was greated with a smile and offered a refreshment while I was browsing the show room.

The sales team is there to sell items. As with all jewelry stores they want you to make a purchase from them and not from one of their competitors, so naturaly they are going to tell you how wonderfull an item is, but they have never been too pushy with me.

If you walk in a jewelry store, and you tell them you are looking for an engagement ring and you have a budget of $1,200. You are not going to leave with the nicest ring in the store. It is not a salespersons job to tell you that you can not buy a quality piece for that much, especially if you are in the store with your partner. It is the salespersons job to find a ring that meets your budget that you both find visually appealing. The other people writing reviews stated they bought items and compared them with items from other jewelry stores. You should always compare prices and qualities. But what these unexperianced buyers problably did not know is that they were comparing their natural diamonds from ACE to glass filled diamonds at a store like jareds or zales.

The sales people I found to be extremely helpfull were Carla, and Jason. It is my understanding that Jason no longer works there which is a shame because he was very knowledgable. Carla too is extremely educated and experianced with diamonds and all forms of jewelry.

Most of the items I have purchased from them were resold at abou a 40% mark up in retail settings. As a wholesaler I have access to the diamond index and direct sightholders and their prices are comparable.

Another person wrote that they sell used jewelry. As a gemologist I can tell you there is no such thing as a used diamond. I have never seen anything used in their show room but it is possible they are mounting diamonds in new settings that came from older rings. That is an industry standard and should not be held against any company. It keeps their costs lower and allows them to offer a bigger variety of diamonds and jewelry. All jewelry stores use the same above methods.

I hope you found the above information usefull.

Happy Gold Seller

I came in to sell my gold. I did not know what to expect and they made me feel at ease. They took the time to go through all my pieces and explain what they were worth. I was not sure of some of my pieces and they were very helpful with the entire process. I shopped around and they gave me the highest price in town! Thanks ace I will tell my friends!!

Sweet 16

Was looking for a special bday gift for my sixteen year old daughter.
Was referred to ACE by a coworker.

The salesperson helped me pick out a special diamond ring. Everyone was very friendly there and
was even introduced to the owner.

I would return when in the need for more jewelry, and would recommend to anyone.

My daughter loved the ring.

Fantastic Customer Service!!

I lost the diamond out of my engagement ring and Carla at Ace Jewelers was an absolute life saver! She assisted me in finding a new diamond and was incredibly knowledgeable and friendly during the process. I would recommend ANYONE to this jeweler!

Best in the Business

I went to Ace to shop for a birthday present for a friend and found so much more.
After spending some time with my very helpful sales person on finding the perfect present for my girlfriend (a beautiful pendant) we got to talking about upgrading a diamond in my ring. She showed me some of the most beautiful stones and I found one that I could not leave behind!
The new diamond looks great and my girlfriend loves her new pendant!
THANKS ACE! I will be back soon!!

Great Experience

I just recently got engaged and after all of the ring searching, Ace successfully helped me find just what I was looking for. I could not have been more disappointed with the selection at many other jewelers and after being so fed up with the lack of help in many other places, this jewelry store actually got me what I was looking for. They helped me find exactly what I was looking for and not once were impatient! Now, I am waiting for the wedding and I couldn't be happier with the ring on my finger!

worst customer service around

I came in on a referral and was quite surprised. They certainly do not know how to take care of a customer!
I was quoted a price for a jewelery repair that was much too high. There is a recession right now. what is going on with this business!

Great service, good value

Good service, excellent values, I agree with some of the the others when they say that the help there acts like they are giving you a great deal, you do need to do your homework before you walk in. Needless to say I compared a lot of prices, brought those prices in with me and got a much better deal for the same size diamond ring as the chain stores. The insurance appraisal I got from a separate jeweler (after reading the reviews I wanted to see if I did get ripped off) was almost twice what paid so I couldn't be happier.

Awesome Jewelers

I can't believe anyone would write such a horrible review as the one from Welltodo. Some people cannot be pleased no matter what the situation. As for my own experience with ACE: My husband bought a pair of diamond stud earrings from ACE for me last Christmas. They are stunning and my husband was very pleased with the pricing. Recently, I began to have problems with my wedding ring which was purchased from a different jeweler. The ring needed to be cut off my finger. My husband's first and only thought was to take me to ACE. When we got there, the jeweler was walking out the door. Mr. Hensley was able to catch him and he very kindly returned to the show room and removed the ring from my finger. Both he and Mr. Hensley spent a considerable amount of time talking to us about rings and the differences in metal content and quality. They were very informative and polite. Mr. Hensley even cleaned my earrings for me while we discussed my options for a new wedding band. I found everyone at the store to be very kind, polite, helpful and extremely informative. There was no ""sales pitch"" and never did I feel the least bit rushed or bullied even though closing time was approaching. We found their prices to be very competitive and in line with other fine jewelry stores in the area. I will definitely go back to ACE and to Mr. Hensley when my finger heals and my husband and I can choose a quality band and receive the proper fit. I feel very confident that we will be completely satisified with whatever we decide to purchase from ACE.

my now Fiance and I went to Ace on our anniversary just to get my finger sized and maybe look at some ideas. we where greeted the moment we walked through the door. I must of tried on every one of those rings, to see how each looked on me, they where all so beautiful. Karen was very patient with us. eventually after a few bottles of water offered to us. karen took us into a well lit room to show us diamonds, and educate us on what we need to look for. oh my goodnees the one he liked was gorgeous. i can't believe he got me the ring that day. i didn't know until a month later when he surprised me with the proposal. he told me later that he wanted to custom make the ring but decided he couldn't design one better than they had. i now go every week to get a free cleaning of my beautiful, perfect ring. and have choosen my wedding jewelry, and they are giving me a great deal on them. I can not talk about this place enough. I can't belive the bad reviews at all. they must be bitter people to begin with or people who are never satisfied, oh well i guess we need that sort of people in this world otherwise we couldn't appreciate the good people. the staff at ACE know my name when i come in and make me feel a part of the family.
~very satisfied, soon to be bride. thanks to ACE. :)

New or Used?

I tend to agree with Butterflyblu. They also run the pawn shop hid discretely down the street about two blocks in a nondescript storefront, which is where they get most of this stuff. Word of warning: They sell this stuff as new and most of it is not. Used loose diamonds I can see selling, but not used jewelry ... especially as new.

Provided by Citysearch -

They have highly included diamonds! I was insulted looking at the garbage in that place and the salespeople act like your getting such an amazing deal. If you don't know anything about diamonds then you will get ripped off and ""think"" you got a deal. Go to a real jewelery store with nice things and compare your Ace ring to a ""nice"" ring you won't be happy with your purchase anymore.
