I would not recommend this place. She was quizzing my son while he was trying to focus on driving. He was so frazzled mid way through the test. He failed. We will not go back there! My son even stated to me that he didn't want to go back there because she was not professional. My 16 year old said that!

I am thoroughly disgusted with the professionalism of this company. My daughter had logged all her hours over 70 in the rain, at night, on trips and in the day. We, as parents, felt she was extremely prepared. She did an outstanding job and passed; however, the condescending remarks and cocky comments were brutal from the driving instructor. Upon our arrival, he stood with his clip board and never even introduced himself or said hello. Really? The intimidation went on and on throughout her test and in the end she was in tears. He asked her why she was crying. I told him he was intimidating. He replied, "I'm intimidating?" I responded, "Extremely intimidating!" He seemed speechless and walked to his vehicle to get her certificate for passing. Now, I understand that safety on the road is a serious matter and that driving instructors need to voice their opinions about certain situations with constructive criticism, but you can't be kind, considerate and smile???? You can't take 2 seconds to tell a student that they are doing well to boost their morale? As a teacher, I know kids are never going to continue to listen when they are constantly humiliated. Has the instructor, who is a teacher, ever even learned this????? This was supposed to be a wonderful day for a child. The instructor turned it into one awful experience! Please go elsewhere for your child.
Rick was AMAZING!!!! He has the BEST attitude!!!!! He was so easygoing and awesome. He was very clear and professional. My little sister was very nervous and he made her feel very comfortable and safe. That's exactly what new drivers need!!!! I wish every tester was exactly like him he has the perfect personality for his job. So thankful for his positive energy today!!!! I will now recommend Blanzy to everyone I know needing to get their drivers license! Especially Rick! He made my little sisters day today by just being relaxed and a positive person rather than being negative when she messed up he corrected her and told her if she missed any points and why. Overall great experience and so appreciative of the honest positive advice and scoring.
My 20 year old son just FAILED. He works at Kroger, has a car. It was pouring at our 2:45 appt. The guy doesn't say anything, I just see he has a clipboard held up looking at us. I told my son to pull up. We roll the window down and Fatman yelled at him for pulling up about 2" past the clipboard when he gave no instructions to start. He YELLED at my son to back up. Then he asks for the paper work and 50 bucks, it was in a plastic bag, he said very rude, "get it out". Within 3-4 minutes my son calls, "I failed, come get me".He had my son back into a spot and said he could have backed an inch more, minus one point. Then parallel parking, another point off, "Ding, YOU FAILED." He didn't even get to go out on the road. He happily took the 50. My daughter tested with him 2 years ago, she just talked back to him, she doesn't take any crap.He could have given instructions, let him drive his 50 bucks worth. I know he owes me 50 for my boots. He seems to get his thrill with having authority!
Continued. If you are providing a service to someone you don't bully them, belittle them, or make their life as miserable as you have made mine. I don't care if you were in control and had all the power because you were the test taker. The government has very strict rules on what a test administrator can and cannot do when I took the ACT. I would think that in a life and death situation they would be even stricter. I will go to the company and the government and I'm getting Jim fired. He put me in danger with his bullying and he will continue to do so until someone actually stops him.
Jim, the bald man with the beard, should literally be fired. I'm going to make sure that he is and I won't stop until he no longer has power over anyone. I didn't mind not passing. But I get extreme car anxiety and I was taking lessons all summer to fix that. Now I literally never want to drive again and even as a passenger I'm nervous. My family won't believe how rude this man was and how much danger he put us both in. They say he was just tough and wasn't sugar coating things. No, he was yelling at me the whole time and asking me sarcastic questions like "Did the light say go?", "Isn't traffic clear?" "We are in the left lane why didn't you go?" And he kept repeating questions like that until I answered. Um, maybe because you are making me cry and I'm putting us both in danger by you yelling at me? I work fast food and I could say a million sarcastic things when customers do something stupid. But I don't because no one is perfect and I would expected to be fired immediately.
My son took his road test yesterday and it was a completely positive experience. Jim was his instructor. He was very professional, polite & easy to talk to. He went over what my son did right & wrong during the test. He was never discourteous. I would recommend this company and instructor. I read the negative reviews and was a little apprehensive, but Jim proved those reviews wrong.
I just took my test and passed and I didn't think I would but my instructor noor was so sweet and patient corrected my mistakes without attitude or roughness really glad I didn't let the bad reviews stop me i reco
WOW!! I should have listened to the bad reviews. The man that tested my child(I am assuming it was Jim although he did not give us his name) was rude and condescending. Made my child more nervous than they already were. I don't understand people who feel the need to make others uncomfortable or to treat young adults with no respect - especially when they are paying you for a service. This man should not be testing young adults - he has no respect for them and treats them badly - maybe it is an ego thing I don't know - but if you are looking for a testing center the SOS offers several other options. I recommend checking another company out first!
I took my road test yesterday and passed! I had a man by the name of Larry who was amazing. He made me feel as ease and kept conversation flowing throughout the ride. I was nervous about the test, but he reassured me that everything was going to be fine. I was hesitant to come here at first due to all of the negative reviews, however I am glad I did. If you come here try to get Larry to be the one you take the test with. This man is the reason I passed!!
