If you are considering hiring Shamrock Auto read this.1. Don't make an appointment with them, especially for a big job like this one was (quoted 5 and a half hours, a 2 day job) because even though they will accept it 5 days in advance, they will not honor it and treat you as a walk-in customer which is what happened here and I did not know it until I was cyber attacked by Patrick on his Facebook business page the next day. 2. Whatever you do, do not call Shamrock to ask about car, or updates because clearly, they hate that. For example, calling only twice in a 10 and a half hour period just to find out status of the estimate will get you, first, a lie (Writing the estimate now, will call in 15 minutes), Hour and half later and no word and call again to find out they're looking at it now and yelled at by receptionist because I told her what the last person told me. 3. I called about a half hour after the estimate on Friday to see if they started because while I was waiting for my quote I was calling other places thinking I might have to start over again and take it elsewhere and I found someplace else. I asked Patrick if he started and told him why and he said yes, and on here he admits that he started the repair on Saturday morning not Friday.4. I was originally quoted a 2 day job, be done Saturday afternoon, but with the lengthy wait on the quote, I was requoted Monday afternoon, never Tuesday. I have a job, so I had made the necessary accommodations and would have never agreed to Tuesday as he stated here.5. Saturday I did not call for an update. Not once. I already knew he started late. I called first thing in the morning only to tell him that I wanted my parts because I had expressed concern that that was the third time in 5 years I needed brakes.6. I asked about the breakdown of the job, he told me it over the phone but when I got the bill, it did not match nor add right from what he had told me. I wanted the breakdown explained at the counter, didn't get it. called the next morning to ask Patrick and same thing, that's what you agreed to he said. I did not call twice, there was no need to. 7. Be prepared, they sure don't communicate, not with the customer and evidently not with each other and he may post something like this after taking your money, and complain because it was a hard job if your car is 'stupid' like mine (heater core is in the glove box area, requiring full dashboard removal. But the heater core in my 'stupid' car is in the seat area?). He had the chance to release my car when I asked for it but he didn't. 8. My recommendation is don't hire Shamrock Auto unless you want terrible customer service and the next day find yourself harrassed by Patrick and complete strangers on Facebook who know nothing about YOUR experience and who will also vouch for a business that they admit they have NEVER used. He did me no favor by accepting this job, I already knew taking it in that I needed a new heater core, but I also wanted them to check out what was causing the noises. I still have the clunking noise. Since FB is his preferred choice of communication I mentioned it because I sure wouldn't make a phone call. He didn't respond. He told me he guarantees his work.And if Patrick told me my car will be ready early afternoon on Monday, then yea, by 4:00 and still getting a run around, I wanted my car, done or not. I had to go to work. He told me at 8 am that he was aligning it then. Writing this review was the last thing I felt like doing but potential customers should know what they're getting into by hiring them.I happened to catch in one of his older posts that he boasts about not up charging for parts (page 6)...not only does he upcharge, he upcharges a lot... at least $50 on my heater core alone (pages 3 and 4).
I took my 2011 Fusion there, because the front bumper was cracked due to an accident. The front office was so professional and Charlie kept me up to date on the progress of the car. Thanks to all for a wonderful experience through this ordeal.

This place puts the SHAM in Shamrock! Do you have 5/6 weeks to spare while they "fix" your car only to have them not fix it at all? If not avoid them like a back alley full of shady dealings. Took my car to Shamrock and waited 2 weeks before getting a call that the problem would be $750 to fix. Waited another week before it was finished. We are up to 3 weeks now but follow along it gets worse. Picked up the car and found that the ripped my drivers side door handle out of its socket and mentioned casually that it wasn't in there very good. When I said it wasn't like that when I brought it in they agreed to fix it and I could leave it again. I said no I'd bring it back for that because I'd been without a car for 3 weeks. I LITERALLY got it across the street on telegraph when it stalled out. I had to call them in a panic while I sat in the 4th lane of telegraph traffic with a stalled car. They came and got me and kept my car ANOTHER 2 weeks! When I stopped in to check on it they were scrambling with excuses and my car was sitting off to the side in the exact spot it was in for days! Picked it up yesterday only to get it home and notice its leaking something badly and the radiator fan isn't shutting off and killing the battery. I recommend NEVER taking your car here unless you never want it to run properly again.
The Mercedes dealership quoted $2800 on repairs on a 2008 Mercedes. Mike came highly recommended. He fixed the car before he even met me. I had it towed there from the dealership he fixed the car for $1900. Safe repair facility for women to walk in alone. Honest licensed and highly qualified. Bad reviews are most likely posted by his competitors. He took 3 payment installments. He understands car repairs are unexpected burdens and helps in any way he can.
Sam is a great guy. My car broke down with my 3 kids in the car and he met me where I was, got it to his shop and dropped me off at my house. Then he called me when it was ready.
so I live block away from them so I'd thought, why not, even though I know how to fix cars... well, I pushed it up there with my other, work car, and got the diagnosis. apparently, my water pump, fuel pump, and surp belt went. I'm thinking, why would the fuel pump die out of nowhere...my wife paid 55 diagnostic fee and we took it to our mechanic (further away but way worth it to take it to K and S auto on van born and wayne rd... my wife, specifically, told them to check the fuses cause I was messing with them. well, taking it up to K and S auto, he said it was the air compressor that locked up and no fuse for the fuel pump (they took a .50cent fuse out to try charging me $445.00 for my 01 ford taurus) to replace the fuel pump. the total was 710.00 for everything and I said no way. 265 at K and S that's all. Totally misdiagnosed my car and wanted to charge me to fix everything that wasn't wrong. It was the exact opposite of being taken care of and if looking for honest decent priced mechanic this is not the place. ask for my email
Bought a care from they through eBay that stated the car had seated heats. After car arrived, finally saw that this feature was not available for the trim level of the car. Car doesn't have heated seats. They will not return calls, texts, or emails to address this fraud.
