I recently came into this restaurant by accident on a recent cold day looking to warm up. Boy did I, I had the best chili I have had since TEXAS. Good flavors, hot and very spicy. I decided to stop back in on Sunday afternoon cause they advertised breakfast all day. I've heard this before only to find an egg sandwich served after 11, but to my delight at 2 in the afternoon I got a full breakfast. I had a 3 egg omelet filled with veggies and cheese, a large helping of potatoes and two patties of sausage. The FREE included mimosa was a nice surprise. My friend decided on the half pound black and blue burger that was cooked perfectly medium rare, something she has found hard to find at most restaurants. Both of our meals were delicious and the atmosphere relaxing and unhurried. Excellent food and service Hard to beat we will be back!!!!!

I just moved back to Daytona Beach after 5 years, and was looking for a new place to enjoy a good, hearty breakfast. While driving on Beach st. I noticed a restaurant that advertised "Breakfast served all day". So I stopped. I was the first customer of the day, so I thought I would get a quick bite and be on my way. The waitress greeted me, brought me coffee (the BEST PART OF THE MEAL) and took my order. Now mind you, I didn't order and extravagant breakfast with eggs benedict, or quiche, simply 3 eggs over easy, sausage, home fries, and whole wheat toast. Simple, an order that should have taken only 5 minutes at the most, remember, I was the first customer of the day. Well, 17 minutes and 2 cups of coffee later, here is my breakfast. What a HUGE disappointment. 3 Eggs cooked sunny side up, still snotty and runny, home fries that were NOTHING more than a baked potato (from the night before I am betting) cut and grilled on the flat top with absolutely NO seasoning, onions or peppers, just a grilled potato, whole wheat toast (unbuttered) but served with a soufflé cup of butter (straight out of the refrigerator so it was rock hard), and two sausage patties. Well, I ate the sausage patties, one piece of the unbuttered toast, and a couple cubes of potato. When my server came back I asked her for a togo box for the rest of the food as I was very disappointed in what I had received. I explained to her that in my over 30 years in the culinary industry, 15 as an Executive Chef, this was the worst breakfast ever served to me, and proceeded to explain to her why. Now in the hospitality industry, most places would have taken a percentage off the bill, or comped it completely, to keep the customer happy, and increase the chances of them coming back to give them another try. Not in this place, I received a bill for over $12.00 for a $6.00 breakfast, 3 eggs, 2 pieces of toast, maybe 2 oz of sausage, and 3 cups of coffee. I can promise, I will never return to Scuttlebutts Pub Restaurant, let's face it, if you can't even do breakfast right, how can you be expected to prepare anything else?
