I wanted to express my extreme dissatisfaction with dealing with Mattress & Furniture Express. We recently purchased a piece of furniture from the Fairfield location and while working to pick it up we returned to purchase another item. We were promised delivery of both items, but ended up having to pick up one of them ourselves. To this date, 2 ½ weeks and FOUR promised deliveries later, we still have not received the other piece. The first excuse was due to the weather, which I did not complain about, even though we live less than five miles from the store AND were able to go and pick up one of the pieces that day. The next promised delivery date came and went, without as much as a phone call. When I called to complain I actually talked with the owner, who told me that he never offers refunds and that I need to shut up and transferred me to his store manager. He tried a bait and switch ploy with me, saying that he was trying to get me a new item instead of the showroom floor item, which I NEVER agreed to purchase! Angry is not even the word for what I felt at that moment. I have NEVER been treated as rudely as I was at that moment. Snake oil salesmen are how I personally would describe them. Regardless, after talking with my credit card company I had to give them a certain number of days to deliver the item. The THIRD delivery date came and went, without so much as a phone call. I will NEVER purchase another item from this company again and I recommend that you think long and hard about doing so yourself. There are plenty of stores selling the same quality items for comparable pricing. Even if it costs you more to shop somewhere else I would do so… the hassle dealing with these unprofessional people is not worth it! Next stop, Better Business Bureau!
