Absolutely terrible! I went to have two tires replaced and a patch done. They took off the wrong tires! One of the tires was only a few months old and had great tread. It was also the tire that was to be patched. I asked the man at the front desk what was causing the leak and I was told it was a nail. The service slip even showed the repair being done. Why would you patch a leak on a tire that was never put back on the vehicle? I was told I would get a free tire for the trouble. I waited 45 mins while I was getting the problem fixed. Then the acting manager came out and said he wouldn’t give me the tire for free because his employee shouldn’t of offered it to me. When I asked how I would be compensated for my time he said “I’m sorry for your loss of time, but it was a mistake. I won’t give you what my employee offered.” I had an appointment at 9:30 and this happened at 1:30! Then he went on to say “Okay, you can have the tire for free, I’ll just make my employee pay for it.” He tried to make me feel guilty! What kind of person does that to a customer? They made the mistake in the first place! I didn’t ask for a free tire, it was offered to me. I waited for them to fix the mistake and then was told “Sorry, but I won't follow through with what was discussed” I was given a full refund when I requested it, but then I had to wait for all the tires to be changed. I will never go there again. They’re terrible to customers. I’m so disappointed that this happened to me. I hope this doesn’t happen to another customer. I was waiting for a call back from the regional manager, Kevin. Of course the call never came. Instead, the acting manager was told to call back and apologize. What a way to treat your customers. I really wanted a forced apology.
I've had a terrible experience with this place. First, they overcharge for tires. I found a set of Toyo tires somewhere for 250 dollars less than Kauffman. They matched it, but I would have paid much more for tires if I hadn't questioned them. I also bought a discount card from the Dawson county football team which was supposed to give me 50 bucks off a set of tires. They refused to honor it, and said they couldn't because they already priced matched someone else. The manager doesn't care about the community. I tried to get a flat fixed there today, but they said it would be an hour and a half wait. I said that's fine, I'll come back then. The person said they couldn't keep my place in line. So I asked about making an appointment, but she said it would still be an hour wait even with an appointment. That's ridiculous. What's the point of making an appointment then? I try to support local business, but if this wasn't right beside my house I wouldn't go back.
Worst customer service. They "lost" my appointment twice, and then called me a liar in front of multiple employees and customers. After proving the call history when making the appointment, I wasn't offered an apology or a resolution to wasting part of 2 of my weekends. I will never go back, and never recommend any one to this location. Pathetic. The man behind the counter needs to learn customer service, and to not call a customer a liar. After I caught them in a lie of losing my appointment, then they tried to say "Appointments don't mean much anyways". Really? Terrible experience. Wish I could get a refund for the lifetime rotation and balance.
