Pizza d’Carlo bakes up excellent gourmet pizza in New York, Chicago, and Sicilian styles. If that sounds like an unusually wide span, consider this: Owner and pizza baker Carlo is perhaps the only Ecuadoran Sicilian New Yorker Utahan you may ever meet. The tag line on Carlo’s menu (“When was the last time you felt passionate about your pizza'”) tells you that this guy makes outrageous pies with a vengeance that his Sicilian ancestors would be proud of. Carnivores will groove on Carlo’s Anti-Veggie (pepperoni, Italian sausage, Philly steak, hamburger, salami, Canadian bacon, and ham), while the Pissal-Adiere (anchovies, garlic, black olives, capers, tomato, and parsley) will intrigue and satisfy the less meat-hungry. Yes, the pies here rule, Any time, day or night, you can get a hot pie in your hotel room or brought to your couch. Now that’s a tasty idea.
This plaze is amazing I love their products and concepts, they deliver 24/7, NY and Chicago Style Pizzas, Calzones, Strambolis are fenomenal, the fact that they carry real Italian Gelato, Cannoli, Tiramisu makes me keep coming to this place, great prices and exelent service, they even go as far as taking my EBT Card or food stamps for pick up or delivery what a deal. I also love the fact that they offer live music on Fridays and Sundays I love it, I get to enjoy my glass of white wine along with my Quattro Stagioni and PRESTO I am a happy camper.. Come and discover for yourself and dont take my word for it, give d'Carlo a try by going in person or ordering online. Once you have an opportunity to do so come back and review this place so everyone will get to enjoy
What a great new find. Very unassuming from the outside but delicious. We ordered delivery on a Friday night so it took a little bit longer but it was worth the wait. We ordered the "Quattro Formaggio" and the "I don't Want to Cook Tonight Pizza" as well as the chicken wings. All were very tasty. The crust is very good and they are very generous with the toppings. We have already decided that we will request just regular cheese versus the extra that comes on the pizzas. The delivery driver was incredibly friendly and the gentleman that took our order was also very pleasant. I would definitely recommend to a friend.
I had a great dining experience at The Red Elephant in Carrollwood. From the hostesss to the Elephant Ears the hospitality and food was great. The decor was right for the atmosphere and they even had a little game room for my children, so my husband and I could talk over a glass wine. Anyone with children knows how hard it is to find kid-friendly restaurants with excellent food, The Red Elephant is all that and more. The prices are affordable and food is delicious and they do not just served pizza they also have great salads and sandwiches/burgers...
Westshore, papa john's, pizza hut and all the other franchises are in trouble once everyone finds out about this place! It's kind of hard to see on Gandy but it's basically at gandy and westshore behine mr. Empenada's. and they have great pizza compared to the other's. They actually make the dough everyday and I always find the best coupon available from pizza hut or domino's and they take it. My family would recommed you go there. We've always had good experiences with them and we order at least once per week.
I have never seen a staff work this hard! I came in today, Friday lunch... BUSY! Pizza girl tossing pizzas everywhere. I had a 10" Deluxe and my sons shared a basket of fries... It was great. I had read a review for this place a couple of days ago where it said that this place was not kid friendly. They were very friendly to my boys... Waitress very attentive. And it was a bonus that the boys could watch the girl make pizza. I will be back and I would highly recommend this place, kids or no kids. Thanks.
We hosted a Halloween Block party and this year we ordered 15 large pizzas from Pizza d'Carlo. Everyone kept asking me where I ordered it from since it doesn't taste like the chain pizzas. The hand-tossed crust is thin & delicious. Even the kids stopped to eat a slice or two amongst the games! Thanks again for such great tasting pizza! I recommend them to anyone hosting a large function...or for nights when you don't know what to make for dinner. Let Pizza d'Carlo do the cooking!
You got to check out Mellow Mushroom. The pretzels are to die for and the same crust is used on the pizza. I haven't had a bad pizza yet, and have been eating there since the day they opened. Also, if you are unsure of a beer, ask for a sample. And most of the staff has a great knowledge of the beers and can suggest you one. If you are not so hungry, try the new individual flat bread pizzas, they are great as well... The look reminds me of the 70's and not just boring old walls..
While the seafood and latin restaurants in Tampa have been incredible, the pizza places have left much to be desired. Decided to give Pizza d' Carlo a try and fell in love! I saw it driving home from work picked up a pie for my family. I'd recommend this place to anyone who likes a good New York style pizza. I just picked up the Quattro Stagioni with proscuitto, artichoke hearts, and mushrooms! WOW! Forget the run of the mill cardboard pizza chains! Give this place a try!
This little restaurant is unpretentious, but the pizza is incredible. Their specialty pies are delicious, but a good basic pepperoni with caramelized red onion is hard to beat. And I say this even after living in the Philadelphia area for about three years where they claim to have the best pizza in the U.S. Gourmet Pizza Company is the best! I think better than their "competitor" in South Tampa (and you know who that would be).
