The Good and Ugly! - Boost Stores in Hollywood, FL



If your looking for friendly, knowledgeable and patient customer service people, go to the Boost store at 5104 State Road 7 near the Hard Rock Casino. I have been a Boost Mobile customer for several years and appreciated the kind and respectful customer service that I received at this Torres Wireless location.



I had, unfortunately, already purchased a new cell phone at a nearby Boost location*. However, when I discovered the Torres location, I decided to see if they could help me out with my new smart phone. They spent over a half hour explaining some the features my new android. I even returned a couple of days later and their 'customer friendly attitude' hadn't changed.

Their initial attitude was very cordial but not 'pushy'. Normally I'm apprehensive when I enter a store but, in this case, I felt at home immediately and I wasn't given a 'hard sell'. Their representatives are customer orientated people and certainly don't even come close to acting like you're bothering them (see below).



I highly recommend this Torres store!!!





*I foolishly rushed into this purchase because the connection to my old, slide cell phone was broken. My intention was to buy a cell phone similar to the one I had. However, as I was viewing the different cell phones, I thought that it would be nice to have one with a touch screen so I decided to splurge. At that time I thought that I would simply use my new phone under my current plan and would receive the activation and transfer of contacts for free because I had been a Boost customer for several years.

In my opinion the salesman was cold and used a nasty, underhanded sales technique. I had never used a smart phone before and he explained nothing about its function. I only learned about the extra charges for activation, contacts transfer and an additional monthly smart phone charge at the very end when I paid (surprise!). Also, when I returned to inquire about the problem that I was having with answering the phone, he took my new phone and called it. When my phone rang, he swiped his finger across the screen and said, staring at me coldly, 'You have to swipe the phone' (paraphrase, maybe) and showed me the screen. (I can certainly read and am not stupid. At that time I hadn't mastered technique and I still have some trouble with answering.)

Note: One time while I was at the counter paying my bill, I asked the same salesman if I had any money in my account. He then stared at me with a cold expression and said 'They send it to you, you know' (paraphrase maybe).

As a result I will not go back to this store!
