I went there back in Nov. it seems yellow pages never posted my review so i am rewriting it. Te pumps are outdated, no place to process your debit card outside. The place was dirty and the cashier is rude. It felt a little unsafe, haven't been back since.
I just had the unfortunate experience to have to deal with the worlds worst and rudest cashier. i had two flat tires after running over a bunch of nails, and went into the store to get change to buy $1 of air. this person, Joy, told me i had to buy something to get change. i told her i had two flat tires, needed air to get home, and needed change to buy their air. she was on a personal phone call and just blew me off. when i asked again to please give me change, she told the person on the phone "don't worry, I got this " and said she can't open the register unless i buy something. i told here i needed air, and needed change to buy the air. at this point, i got upset and said i need help, i need change to get the air which costs $1, and it only takes change, and i know, as a manager that you can open the register and get me 4 quarters and 4 dollars for my $5 bill. she told me i need to leave. that's when i told her, "in this country, we help people out, and if i were in your shoes i would give $1 out of my own pocket if someone was stuck and in need. i walked out, but after looking at my two flat tires went back in and saw lighters on the counter, i put $5 on the counter and said i am willing to forget what just happened, could i buy this lighter, and get 4 quarters back so i could buy some air. she told me she "refused to serve me" and i had to go. At this point i told her i was leaving, and would never have an employee work for me like her, and that i would complain and NEVER EVER purchase another item from Food Mart or Exxon. i went to the next gas station down the street and the person was more than happy to give me change and help me out.
As one of only about six E-85 gas stations in the Fort Lauderdale, Broward County, Florida area, I find myself shopping here by default. As the owner of a Flex Fuel vehicle, I do enjoy saving a few extra cents on my gas purchase. An added bonus is the fact that this Stirling U Gas station is mere minutes from my office in Davie. These convenience features are where the good review ends. On numerous occasions throughout the last several months, I've purchased E-85 and other gasoline here. Each and every time - no matter the credit or debit card I use - the sale was always rejected, in favor of "See Attendant." When I enter the store and hand my card to the cashier - conveniently hidden behind a shield of safety glass - said card is never rejected. The "see attendant" screen is a common ploy for customers to have to enter a gas station/convenience store in an effort to generate revenue. I have questioned several cashiers at the Stirling U Gas and never received a straight answer on this contention. I have, though, witnessed other customers having the same problem. These same credit and debit cards have not been rejected at any other retailer or merchant. This Stirling U Gas is located in the northeast corner of Stirling Road and Davie Road. Entering the station is pretty easy, but due to traffic patterns is not the easiest to depart from. This gas/convenience store has an air machine and vacuum cleaner at a dollar each. In using the air machine one occasion, I did not have a problem filling all four tires of my vehicle.E-85 was $2.29/9 on June 11, 2015. This price is up ten cents over the prior two weeks.Rating gasoline/convenience stores is not an easy thing. The primary reason for the low rating here is the "see attendant" prompt on the screen each and every time I visit. Had this not been the case, Stirling U Gas would receive 3 stars./s/ William E. PLEASE DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME ! THESE PEOPLE DONT KNOW WHAT THEY ARE DOING ! MEAN PEOPLE ESPECIALLY THE MANAGER WHO CAN SPEAK TO YOU IN A VERY NEGATIVE MANNER !!! PRICES RIDICULOUS !!! THE SERVICE SHOP IS THE WORST !
A dump. Price gouging. They ought to be on the turnpike.
They make great subs, Good customer service...
Very disappointed with the shop no diligence whatsoever! If you need repairs done your better off breaking down on the side of the road, at least you know the work will get done! I needed s-cams and 5 days later still waiting. As an owner operator it will cost you more waiting than the actual repairs. Stay away I promise you will be disappointed! !!!!
