Serving the Charlotte and surrounding area for over 50 years

General Info
In 1962, Woodie Enterprises, Inc. began as a single service station owned by Ernest Woodie. This station was located on Independence Blvd. at Albemarle Road and was branded as an Esso station. This location was moved in 1971 to the Midtown area and renamed Charlottetown Exxon. From this one store operation it has grown under the leadership of Mr. Woodie's two sons. Mike joined the operation in 1973 and Brad in 1985. The first addition was in 1986 with Central Ave. Exxon Car Care; this location was moved in October 2001 to E. Independence Blvd. and renamed to WE Care Auto & Tire. The next addition was Sharon Exxon West in 1998; this was followed by Ashley Road Auto & Tire in January 2002. It was decided in September of 2003 to organize all the locations under the Woodie's Auto Service® and Repair Centers. Several additional locations have been opened since that time, Woodie's Auto Service® / Uptown in October 2003; Woodie's Auto Service® / Midtown in January 2004 and a European Specialty Facility Woodie's Auto Service® / PAS in October 2007, Woodie's Auto Service / Carmel Road in January 2012. In addition to the automotive repair facilities Woodie Enterprises also owns and operates (1) BP; (1) Exxon and (3) Shell convenience stores as well as a Deli / Convenience Store located in Uptown Charlotte. The Woodie Family wishes to sincerely "Thank You" for the over 50 years of patronage you, our customers have shown us. We have many second generation customers and even repair the automobiles of a number of third generation customers. It has been a rewarding experience being so tightly woven into the fabric of the Dilworth/ Myers Park Communities. The Woodie Family greatly appreciates the confidence you have placed in us over the years. This confidence has translated into many referrals of your family, friends and neighbors, enabling us to expand our automobile repair business with several others locations with the same high ethical code that the Woodie Family has built its' reputation on. As many of you know Midtown area's iconic Charlottetown Exxon closed December 23, 2005. Our Exxon was the last business on Kings Drive to fall prey to the Little Sugar Creek Greenway Project, although it will not be a gas station Charlottetown is back. We opened a new repair service facility Charlottetown Exxon, before it's demolision for a city park provided trustworthy, experienced quality car care in Charlotte / Mecklenburgright around the corner from our old Kings Drive location. We felt it was only fitting since it is located at 1024 Charlottetowne Ave., that it be named after Charlottetown Exxon. The name is very special to us for the history and the quality service and repair standards it represents. Woodie's Auto Service Charlottetown opened in October 2008. We opened our newest repair facility in January 2012 at Carmel Road and Highway 51. The Carmel Road location is the first store we built from the ground up and we are very excited with the improvements and technology advances that will help us serve our customers. We installed a state of the industry alignment system that includes a drive on alignment rack that will allow any vehicle with low clearance to be easily aligned. In November 2012 we moved our service department from 8641 South Blvd. to 6500 South Blvd.(former Hawthorne Quick Lane Building) We now have an 18 bay service facility, a large and comfortable waiting area as well as additional staffing and equipment to service our customers. Please stop in and visit Jeff, Chris and Steve at their new home.

I will never be using Woodies for car repairs again. It is clear that the management is awful and that the employees are treated very poorly. The services here are priced INSANELY high, and they will try to sell you services that you don’t even need. The management at this establishment is very rude and they do not care at all for what is in the customers best interest. You would be much better off going somewhere where they won’t try to lie to you and con you.

From Woodie's Auto Service We did contact the customer and offered him a free oil change and tire rotation. The difference in the price was the customer requested a full synthetic oil change where as he had been using a synthetic blend one which is less expensive.

From Woodie's Auto Service we did reach out to the customer in the review below and offer him a free oil change and tire rotation. The customer requested a full synthetic oil change when he had been receiving a synthetic blend oil change which accounts for the addition cost of the service.

Red Flag: Saturday I visited this automotive establishment after being solicited that they would match a simple (2) oil changes, (1) inspection and (1) tire rotation that I normally pay $100.00. When finished I was surprised the total bill was $160.00. Won't be visiting this place ever again.
