- Lake Norman Breastfeeding Solutions has been providing lactation care for families in the Charlotte and Lake Norman region since 2011. Our passion is to come alongside new parents, empowering them to have a positive, successful breastfeeding experience. We offer counsel for milk supply, latch difficulties, colic/reflux, tongue-ties, pumping plans, bottle introduction, starting solids, weaning and everything in between.

To set the scene: I had given birth to my first child, after a grueling 29 hours labor, and a whopping five hours of pushing, I was in no shape, mentally or physically to take on the new task of breastfeeding my son without a knowledgeable coach. Carolyn Honea came to the rescue!
She arrived at my bedside, ready to coach me through my first, and most important experience of learning how to feed my newborn-- all this while she, herself was in labor with her fourth child!
Carolyn took the time to teach me the various techniques and different breastfeeding positions, that would be my guide for the first months of being a new mother.
She was also available for several follow-up sessions when I needed advice, guidance, or a listening ear.
It is also noteworthy that Carolyn was prompt with follow up and even took the time to email me medical articles on issues I had been concerned with.
The early days of breastfeeding can be quite difficult and your brain can seem foggy, so having a knowledgeable, and trusted adviser during that time frame is very valuable.
I highly recommend Carolyn Honea as a Lactation consultant. From my personal experience, she is an excellent, reliable source for breastfeeding and all things related to motherhood!
