Breckenridge Apartments

Lived in these apartments for a year so far and have had no issues and absolutely loved where I lived up until a week and a half ago when my daughter and I started waking up with bites.. Come to find out it is bed bugs after I found and killed one in my apartment... Landlord refuses to pay for the issue and is trying to blame me and make me pay for everything stating I had to of brought them in, mine and my daughters routine has not changed from day 1 of us moving in, have not stayed nor been any where new, haven't had anyone new in my apartment especially recently which I never have people over anyways, and haven't brought any different furniture nor belongings into my apartment.. We have not been any where that bed bugs are nor could've been so I know somebody else that either just moved in or is a tenant there had to of brought them in and now has my apartment becoming infested with bed bugs... Sad that my daughter and I can't even go home and sleep in our own bed nor at our own place.. Also sad that my daughter may have to lose out on all her toys because of somebody else's doing that we are getting blamed for bc they can not be washed nor dried, that isn't fair to her let alone both of us period... The way management is going about this is completely wrong, which they have been so great up until this.. I thought they'd be more helpful and take care of the issue given that I have been such a great tenant and have always been early and ahead on rent, also given that the office is in the same building as my apartment, but no instead that decided to blame their good standing tenant and force all charges for treatment on us, I work too hard to be dealing with this type of thing and to have to lose out on not only my hard earned money but a lot of our stuff too that I've worked hard for... I did the smart thing though and have called a lawyer that is going to help us with this... Great place to live as long as no bug or other problems arise whiling living here but can't garentee none will when you can't control what other tenants wind up bringing in...

There is a full time maintenance staff, who are intelligent and respectful. All of the apartments have been renovated and the property is well cared for. The units are energy efficient and the rents are affordable.
