I've been in Sanford-Lake Mary for 13 yrs, and had never been able to find an auto repair shop that made me happy. I took my F150 pickup to CMC this week to have them do some front end work. They were fantastic! I'm pretty savvy with cars, so i already pretty much knew what was wrong with my truck. Jim (the owner) and his son Jason were honest and professional. Their prices were reasonable, and they didnt try to sell me anything i didnt need, (which is one of my pet peeves) but they did call and let me know while in the middle of taking the front end apart, they had found another part that was pretty badly worn and recommended replacing it now. When i explained that the additional part was probably going to be a little over my budget, they worked with me and gave me a price break. Where can you find that kind of service these days? I got the feeling they wanted me to become a loyal customer. The work they did on my truck was excellent (you can believe i got up under the truck and checked afterwards). The mechanics they have are older more experienced guys. I had too many experienes at other auto shops with twenty-something mechanics, who either couldnt figure out what the problem was, or gave a completely wrong diagnosis. I have finally found my mechanic at CMC!!
After my experience with their service department today, I highly recommend David Maus Chevrolet . On first call, I was made to feel as if I was their only customer. They answered promptly and were very professional. I spoke to a customer care professional by the name of Ty. He was on the ball. He took my basic information and assisted me with directions to their facility. Upon arrival, I was greeted quickly. It was nice to be able to ask for someone by name. It alleviated the unnecessary explaining and re-explaining of the issue to multiple service personnel. The waiting room was very clean and inviting. There was complimentary refreshments, big screen LCD televisions, and very comfortable chairs that afforded even a bigger person like myself enough room to sit and not feel crowded in. I have had my oil changed at Napleton twice. The first time it was done quickly and at a fair price. the second time it cost me $25 more. When I asked why I was told there is a "Shop Fee". When I asked what the shop fee was for I was told it was so they could dispose of any rags they used in changing my oil. Are they charging people so they can throw away paper towels? I could not get any good answers as to what the extra charges were for. I have bought two cars from this dealership and had wonderful service up until now. As a part of the deal for the second car I was told they would throw in a tee shirt I saw at the dealership that I liked. They did not have the shirt in my size and told me I would get it as soon as one came in. Not in yet. It is becoming clear to me that as soon as the people at this dealership have your money they no longer care about their customers. I will no longer use their services. There are many good dealerships and mechanics out there. Do not go to Napleton.
I ran my wife's 2005 malibu low on oil. got a ticking sound in the engine soon afterward. Took the car to 3 different shops and they all said I needed a new engine. they said it was most likely a spun rod or something like that. would be cheaper to just replace the engine than to fix the ticking. I got quotes from different shops in Sanford, Longwood, and Lake County. Motorworks had excellent reviews all over the web. Their price for a new engine, labor, etc was $200.00 cheaper than everyone else. Angela from Motorworks was excellent in staying in contact with me via email. I had a newer/used engine put in my wife's car in 3 days. Runs like a champ now. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THESE GUYS!!! no surprise fees, the quote they initially gave me is what I paid. Honest shop. straight shooters. I'll definitely use these guys in the future.
As my car is too old to get it to the original dealership for repairs (they charge you more than the car"s value) I finally found a great service shop in Sanford, the CMC automotive group at 3rd street. The service manager Jim and his son Jason are the best mechanics met in a while. They repaired my 2003 Range Rover (brake lines) so that is in perfect condition now for another couple of years. Their diagnose, cost estimate and time schedule were fully in line with what I expected and they kept me informed on the progress of the repair at all time. I highly recommend this service shop to everyone, especially also to those with a foreign brand car.Thanks Jason and Jim for a great job done. I know where I will go in the future.
I bought my 2016 Subaru Outback in December 2015. Because I had 2 horrendous experiences with Space Coast Honda (lying, deceitful employees) I was not looking forward to buying another car. As it turned out, I am ecstatic that this whole process was straightforward. The internet price was exactly the same as the sales contract. No hidden charges, no paper shell game. I've been back to the service department for my first oil change service and again, no drama. The check in process was efficient and the car was ready when promised. It's a shame I can't get this same level of service closer to home, but it's worth the drive to do business with an honest dealership.
I purchased a 2011 Dodge truck from Jim Lash Blue Book Cars - got a good deal. A few days later, the ignition locked up and I could not start or move the truck from my driveway. I called my Salesman, John, and he and the Owner actually came to my house! Wow! What dealership gives you that kind of service and stands behind their product like that? They ended up towing the truck back to the lot, offered us a loaner (we didn't take them up on that), and fixed everything at their cost. Best experience buying a used car ever.
I have nothing but good things to say about this company. Great and quick service, very honest and straight up people. My AC went out and they were able to service my car the very next day (parts and all!)... I would recommend them to anyone. Jon is the person that has talked to us the few times we were there and he is very sweet and very professional; definitely an asset to the company.
