I would think twice before I leased here. Granted, the property is nice, but looks can be deceiving. Lincoln took over this property last July, and with that came a 20% spike in rent, along with an office staffed with ""Barbies"". I terminated my lease early, and am glad to be done with them.
The apartment itself was nice. However, the walls are so thin you can hear literally everything that goes on above or below you. I had a person living above me that would stomp so loud and so hard that pictures were knocked off of my walls. I called and emailed the office staff numerous times, and Julie told me that she didn't handle noise complaints. She suggested that I call the cops because this isn't something she could assist me with. This was her response after my fourth complaint.
While this is a gated community, the gates are left open constantly. When they are shut, people still camp out in their cars and wait to follow people in. Bikers and runners will wait in the parking lot early in the morning and follow cars in just so they can have access to WR Lake. Gates are left open overnight almost every weekend.
Security is non-existent at this property. The office staff says they have a paid security guard on site, and they will happily give you his number. However, when you call him he never answers, and doesn't call back when you leave a voicemail. I experienced this numerous times. When I mentioned this to the office staff, they had nothing to say about it.
My garage door was broken 3 times. I had to call on three separate instances to have the same issue corrected. I was locked out of my own garage for a week at a time, yet no offer was made to credit my account for the time I couldn't use it.
Let's talk about the move out process: Lincoln took over the property during the middle of my lease. I paid a $250 pet fee and a $250 pet deposit. Rachel looked this up for me when I moved out, and promised I would receive my deposit (minus final water bill) plus my pet deposit. Now, almost a month later, I get a call from the manager saying they can't locate the records from the former mgmt company, and therefore can't refund my pet deposit. They are blaming poor record keeping by the former management for this, but she ""sincerely apologizes"".
I paid $982 / month for a 1 bdr apartment with a den. I thought it was a fair value. With Lincoln taking over, the same apartment is now listed for $1135, I promise you, this complex is not worth the money. There are much better values out there.
Think twice before you lease here. The office staff is pretentious, They couldn't care less about the existing residents. They're only concerned with selling the new company and remodeled units.
