I went to this gym and spoke with Jay 3 weeks ago. He knows his stuff and even gave me a free lesson after he explained how his gym worked. I told him I'd go see other gyms and he was fine and didn't pressure. After checking other gyms I realized if they were cheaper they provided less knowledge or advice. On the other hand if they provided the same attention they were more expensive. I went back to Jay and will start next week!
New member, future champ here! I met with Jay this past week and was blown away. We have set up a blueprint and regiment for success and I'm excited to work and train at the 10th St. Gym!
Professional training and experience, I expect things to be done his way and in strict Manor, as he is the professional and the man with the hall pass to success. I hope this can be of help to others, again, this is Dub Scott, future champ!
Went there for the first time today and met Jay Sanchez. Was very impressed with everything, mostly the fact that he certainly knows what he's talking about, hes not gonna waste your time and out of just meeting him, he taught me a few things about boxing right off the bat. He doesn't just tell you he knows, he has the proof to show for. I start my first lesson tomorrow and I'm confident I chose the right place. Based off great first impressions, I definitely recommend for anybody to go to his gym and check it out, he has the reviews to show for that prove he can you show you how to box whether youre a beginner or advanced fighter.
I visited the legendary 10th street gym yesterday and wasn't disappointed. Jay is a cool old school trainer with a vast knowledge of the sport. He dropped some gems on me and gave me a couple of parting gifts. I'm glad I paid this place a visit. No hype, no BS, just old school boxing.
I just got back from Jay's place in Dallas and i got to say, i'm completely blown away.. Jay is a very humble individual who spent the first 15 minutes getting to know more about myself and my ambitions, he proceeded to share a wealth of memorabilia and moments in his career that have defined him as the man as he is today.. On the walls you will notice pictures that paint a thousand words, prospects who have achieved some of the highest rewards boxing can offer and moments that define the professionalism that the gym embodies, this is where people work towards there dreams. Without fail jay was able to point out some flaws in my technique immediately, something my previous gym never even bothered to notice nor take interest in pointing out out of the year i've been there. All in all Jay is the real deal.. Leaving his location today i had no doubt in my mind that i have found the right place to take my training to the next level. I'll be starting at the end of the month and i couldn't be more psyched.
First and foremost, off of boxing alone this place deserves 5 stars without a doubt, though boxing isn't boxing without the business side of it. That is the only reason as to why I gave this place a four star.
In terms of boxing, this place is it. It's the place where one should go if they are trying to learn how to box, or go professional. It is taught in an old school boxing manner. Its got the connections, and they got the proof and experience to back it up.
Now, in terms of business, the enrollment price is something I've never come across before. The monthly fee is something I've never come across before as well. Most gyms have fees far lower than this place. HOWEVER, this place has proven again and again that this place is serious, so that's why the fees are quite high.
Nonetheless, if you truly are serious about boxing, and serious about finding a great place to learn how to box, as well as being able to pay the fees, then this is it. The connection is made right then and there. Real boxers make the real connection right away when they enter a real boxing gym. Check this place out for yourself.
Took some time off boxing and fitness competitions- ready to get back at it. Been searching for a boxing trainer in Dallas- finally found Jay- just what I was looking for! Jay is not only extremely skilled and patient- but an exceptional human being. I feel blessed to have found Jay.
I am looking forward to my time with Coach, coming from kickboxing background he was quick to identify flaws in my technique , and shows the most efficient and effective methods to the sweet science. Don't waste his time if you can't commit or be humble enough to receive his wisdom.
I'm a fighter looking for the right trainer and the right gym. Jay and 10th street is just what I'm looking for. Jay is a patient and attentive trainer that gives personalized feedback and really has an eye for details. 10th street is a straight up classic, old school boxing gym. If you want to learn the real thing, go to Jay and not a fitness boxing class.
