Jay is amazing! My son is 12 years old and has been training with Jay for over a year now and you should see the growth. Jay worked with him one-on-one before pairing him with other boxers. His method of teaching is both comprehensive and strategic. My son is an athlete; however, he sometimes lack motivation...until he steps into Tenth Street. Jay is able to motivate him in a respectful manner. When he walks in, Jay simply says, "It's time to work."
And although Jay always reminds my husband and me that he does not teach people to fight, he teaches them to box, my son is now capable of defending himself with ease. I am grateful for finding this jewel.
My son who is 13 and has not 1 day of experience in any sport has had 2 sessions with Jay and I must say I am impressed!!! He has learned so much in such a short period of time. We are so happy that we chose to go with his gym. We can't wait to see how far he will go with him. Very exciting to see what will become of this.
I've been taking weekly boxing lessons with Jay since January 2016. Jay draws on his many years of experience and is an excellent teacher and trainer. I am a 56 year old male and recommend Jay to all gender and age groups. He tailors his approach to the individual. I look forward to continuing my relationship with Jay.
I have a son that trains under the tutelage of Jay Sanchez. I can't be happier with the environment that my son is exposed to, and the boxers that have taken time to teach him. Jay is a class act and so are the boxers that go to his gym. I could not be happier with my son's experience.
Awesome gym and awesome trainer! I regret that I started "boxing fitness" classes at one of those trendy chain places instead of just starting training with Jay right away, even though I didn't have any previous boxing experience beforehand. He custom-tailors my training routines to my strengths and weaknesses and, most importantly, he listens when I have an injury that we need to work around until I recover. As others have mentioned on here, I think of Jay as more than just a great trainer, he's also a friend and a mentor.
