Terry Costa

This past week, I went to Terry Costa to find a gown for the Margarita Ball. I had heard they had a great selection of gowns and had visited their website several times. Since I wasn't able to attend Dances in school, even my Prom, I wanted this dress to be the perfect dress.

My Experience Was Terrible.

When I first walked in I was acknowledged by no one. It took twenty minutes for someone to offer assistance, even though I attempted to get someone attention multiple times. The manager was cold and rude, the selection was sparse and the service was even worse. Very few people on staff to help and the ones that were there seem to be biased on who needed more attention. One person does not need three saleswomen helping her find the perfect dress.
I picked out a few possible dress choices and let myself into my own dressing room, as there was no one to assist me further. Finally, I was able to hold the attention of a saleswomen long enough to convince her I needed help, since I'd never done this before. I would have been better off picking the dresses myself. She hardly listened to what I was looking for; she brought anything and everything in my size. And, though I insisted these were not what I wanted I tried them on to appease HER.
I had wanted to look classy, not trashy. Yet, apparently trashy was the only style she knew.
So I left dressless.

I came back a few days later, desperate. I was told that they get new shipments in daily and as I was still without a dress I thought I'd try once more, give them the benefit of the doubt: Perhaps they were short staffed, maybe the women who helped me was having a bad day, etc.
The second I walked in, there it was. On the manican sat The Perfect Dress. The only one left and it was my size!
But, yet again I was not acknowledged, I was left to wait for ten minutes, trying to get the attention of someone to take it off for me. Finally I was noticed when I began to wave my arms like I was landing a plane (It seems that this is the only way to grab someones attention at Terry Costa)
A saleswoman inquired as to what I was needing, and I told her I wanted the dress from the manican. she instructed me to go to the dressing room and she would bring it back to me.

I sat in my dressing room for five or ten minutes more, and finally went to see what was taking so long. I opened my curtain, and there was my dress... on someone else!
The saleswoman had given MY dress to another woman.
I told the saleswoman, and she did not apologize nor care in the least. I even waited to see if the woman in my dress would decide on another, but the saleswoman, knowing that it was the dress I had requested be taken off the manican, convinced her that it was the perfect one for her, and she bought it.

I left dress less again, angry and upset, and will now be going in a sad dress that doesn't have half the elegance of the one I had chosen, and lost.
I will now have to attend the ball and see the women in the dress that should have been mine.

I will NEVER go back to Terry Costa, and I strongly encourage that you think twice before going there as well.

I went with the wedding party to try on bridesmaid dresses and we picked one but when we were getting fitted the ladies made us order a size up from the size dress that we had tried on that fit us absolutely perfect and so now our dresses are extremely large and we have had to pay for a lot of costly alterations. So when we called the store to let them know they were very rude to us and very unhelpful!!! So beware

Going to Terry Costa for Prom Dress shopping was the best thing I've ever done! Samantha was such a trooper and a great help!:) Great staff and wonderful selection!

This was a very stressful experience. However regardless of the wait, the help was incredible! Meagan was so sweet and helped me find the perfect dress.

Amazing customer service! Found the perfect dress for half of any other bridal store I went to. I recommend this store to everyone!!

Went in to look for a Marine Corps ball dress and my wedding dress. I'm on a massive budget and didn't plan on leaving with anything, just wanted to see what they had. I was completely surprised. Alyssa helped me out and was absolutely fantastic! She saw exactly what I was looking for and didn't dismiss me because of my small budget (which has happened everywhere I've gone so far). I not only found a dress, I found THREE. One ball and two wedding. I couldn't decide and the prices were obnoxiously reasonable. So I got them both. I got all three for a fraction of the price I was expecting for one. I'm coming back here for every occasion. I'm bringing my wedding party back here to find their dresses. SOOOOOO many options. I really can't say enough good things about this place and Alyssa.
