American fare that's at times familiar & other times adventurous in a laid-back modern setting

Business Description
Forget 'casual dining.' That's an industry term so out of touch with how consumers eat and drink today. For premium quality and style; fare that's at times familiar and other times adventurous and a laid-back modern setting, Houlihan's is a true original.

Super busy on the weekends but FUN! LIT's kinda weak though.

Have been a few times and it has always been great. One visit it was very busy and the host staff was not helpful in letting you know you had to be on the wait list to grab a patio seating and that it was not considered part of the seat yourself bar. After finding a bar table the liter LIT's were great but weaker than i like. I weigh 105 lbs. and had 1 and a half and didn't feel a thing so thats a bummer. But on happy hour they are 3.75 and tasty. Had two LIT's on my next visit and it did put me over the edge after my 3 previous drinks. My table had the mini burgers and calamari burgers were good but the calamari had some huge pieces that were kind of nasty to look at let alone eat. But the atmosphere is fun and the happy hour and food prices are decent.

Overall
great food, drinks, and service

My partner went by one night for dinner after an exhausting day. We had never been there and were looking for somewhere new. We loved the atmosphere and the open bar. We started with the three tiny martinis. We got stuffed mushrooms which were fabulous. We then shared the steak and shrimp dinner. Lastly, we shared the dessert sampler. Everything was great. We also enjoyed the liter of LIT...which was my personal fave. We had a really great experience and will be back!

You could do better elsewhere

I tried this new restaurant in the area...having eaten in other locations of theirs' in the past.
The talapia ordered was not fresh...frozen without a doubt.
The meat in the pot-roast entree was too fatty...
The wine we received was not what we had ordered, but in view of the long wait for it we just kept it.
Needless to say, we won't be back...there are so many other places nearby with better quality food and comparable prices.
