Drove over from the Mansfield area to try their Happiness sauce on the shrimp. It was described as being similar to the Golden sauce used in the Northern area of the country. At 12:20 pm there was no one in the restaurant. Not 1 customer. When we tried to order the shrimp with sauce they said they discontinued it last month. We left without ordering not sure why it was empty but they certainly were not anxious to serve us

I have lived in Dallas for 40 years and have seen some great restaurants come and go, and Hibashi is one of the best restaurants to come to Dallas in years! Does anyone remember Royal Tokyo on Greenville Avenue? Hibashi is reminiscent of them in the quality of their food and the taste. Their food is ALWAYS so fresh tasting and very flavorful without being salty. I am not a sushi fan, but most of my friends are and they say their sushi is amazing too! The location is the only downside of this restaurant simply because it's hard if not impossible to see from the Tollway if you aren't on the southbound service road. I have been eating here since they opened and have been so worried they might not make it simply because their location is not the greatest, but they seem to be hanging on! I have never had to wait for a teppan grill table at lunch or dinner and the service is great...they are very friendly from the moment you walk in the door. If you love great hibachi and sushi, then Hibashi is a no brainer. Once you try it, you'll be hooked! I even find myself getting food to go occasionally from the teppan grill because I need my fix!!!! Try it, you'll like it:-)

I love Hibashi! I have been going since the day it opened and it is still my favorite restaurant in Dallas. Caris is the best bartender and is so attentive. I love love the Heart Attack and the drink specials are amazing. The Rainbow Roll and the new Devil Roll are wonderful too.
Caris has gotten so good at his fire shows I love watching him get better and better! I recommend this place to EVERYONE I know.

Hibashi is a fun place that is more about the experience than the cuisine. They do feature creative martinis and extensive sake options but the wine list is both limited and overpriced. As for the sushi itself, the nigiri was oversized, almost to the point of losing its delicacy, and it did not adhere to the rice very vell. There are a number of rolls to chose from, though, ranging from very good (spicy tuna, maui, baked eel) to just OK (fat man). The ""King Kong"" role was a nice twist on Bulkogi (marinated beef) and definitely worth a try; however the rice on the pulverized Ahi tower was undercooked. Overall this is a festive place to go when it's more about being seen than being fed.

I went here for my friend's birthday on last Thursday night, and it was absolutely amazing.
The sushi was very fresh and yummy!!! We had some special rolls and loved them. I also enjoyed the poki tuna. It had a delicate flavor and just the right texture.
The waiters were attentive and knowledgeable to offer some great suggestions for menu selections as well as wine.
This place is perfect for a fun night out with the girls!!
Do not miss out for the flare show!!.

Best place to HANG OUT!!!!
I went to there for girl out. It was so exiciting place I have ever seen Dallas. The bar is absolutely cool like a Vegas and people were very cool there. We started with Ahi Tower, Monkey Brain, Edamami, Heart Attack which were wonderful dishes so far and I had Scallop and shrimp dish. It was very good Asian food. The price was unexpensive. Especially, we had half price wine and fire show in the bar. Very cool place. I recomended everyone because they have very quite and dinning, loud and cool bar and very exciting Teppon in the back. Very nice place............

I love this place. First inpression was WOW!! great atmosphere, beautiful inside and great food. I have never had better sushi anywhere in anyplace. I'm sure people will be very surprise that Dallas has best sushi restaurant. I would like to recommend anyone to meet sushi chef Kuma and Kenny. They are fun and best sushi man in town. I already orderd sushi for this Christmas party with my friend and family at home. I already know everyone will enjoy the sushi at the party. I'm so happy to find out Hibashi and I will recommend to anyone.

After shopping at the Galleria, my friends were craving sushi so we found Hibashi, right across from the Galleria. Hibashi seemed like a usual sushi and teppan joint from outside yet inside decor and atmosphere was TRULY AMAZING. The food was great, very fresh, and service was very satisfying. After dinner we hung out at the bar, I was surprised, they have great happy hour selections for a restaurant! If you have some time to stick around, I really recommend you to check out the bartender flair show, it was really something different that you would not be able to see in Dallas. I, myself, love sushi and tried many different places in Dallas, but now Hibashi is on top of my list. I strongly recommend for different quality experience!

Sushi: When im in the mood for just sushi..i like to sit in at the sushi bar bc they have nice suede seats and its just really comfortable when your eating...really romantic too..the rolls are awesome..very different...you wont find their special rolls to be at blue fish or other places...they have rolls that literally come on fire like the white dragon roll (favorite!)..or the snowman roll that is topped with whip cream...a disadvantage i would say is that the rolls arent as big as the rolls as blue fish...but then again...that is what blue fish is known for..cant help that...to make up for it..they're really really really good...i also like how the cali roll actually has real snow crab in it..taste better..
Hibachi: when i go with my grandparent...i really like going to the hibachi section...its in a nice open area...again..great atmosphere and lighting...the tables are actually a little bigger than other places...and again...makes it more comfortable...every thing is spaced very well so you dont feel cramped...there is also a huge private room with a flat screen tv..i think it would be great to get some friends together to eat and watch the big game...the food is soooooo good..be sure to try the filet and shrimp with fried rice...with cold sake...a great combo..
overall, if you live in the dallas area...its a great place to visit at least once...you wont regret it...

Very nice setup, I like how it's spaced out and has a lot of breathing room. A very modern appeal and the color changing of the bar makes this a great place to take a date. Bar is nice if you're just wanting sushi and some drinks but also has a full teppan style grill for eating dinner. Beer, here, IMO, is on the pricey side. I'd recommend mixed drinks rather than beer as the beer is only slight cheaper than a mixed drink/
The food was remarkable and extraordinarily fresh. I recommend ordering off the 'Teppan' section as you get a full course meal with soup, salad, rice and your main course. I didn't like that I got charged extra (on both me and my girlfriend's meal) on my receipt for fried rice. I'm paying 47$ for a lobster tail, filet mignon and scallops you think the least they could do is not charge you another 2.50$ for fried rice...just a suggestion but it seems rather nickel and dimeish. There is a huge difference in taste between the filet and the steak, I recommend the filet.
The serving staff made a mistake and gave our sushi we ordered to someone else on our table first, not a huge deal and they recognized it shortly there after. The problem was they billed us twice for sushi on our bill and instead of just refunding my card 7$ they ran my card again although refunding my previous bill but now I'm out 100$ bucks until their merchant service company credits back my money. Not a huge deal but definitely an inconvenience.
I didn't know they did a little show (yes saw 'vegas show ad but doesn't describe much about what goes on) with at the bar but I happened to pick 8p.m. as reservation time. It might help customers if mgmt mentions that a 'show' happens at 8p.m,. when people call in(or whatever times they happen) so people plan appropriately as it was very fun and entertaining.
I recommend this place, was great food!

Attention to Detail in food presentation, flavor & flare. My girlfriends and I has an experience at Hibachi, not a meal. Beautiful decor, fabulous aroma, terrific presentation and service to beat all. I highly recommend for friend or family gather (large or small, they can accomodate), receptions, client lunch/dinner meetings and fun date night.

My first impression upon walking in was WOW. The place is amazingly decorated and gorgeous on the inside. They have the hibachi tables, sushi bar, drink bar, and individual tables for seating. We were seated immediately and the waitress was super sweet and very attentive, taking our drink orders right away and always keeping them filled and our table cleared of dishes. We ordered salmon rolls to start, and they came out super fast. Our order came with 6 big sushi rolls that tasted so delicious I could have devoured an entire plate of them myself - the rice was perfect, and the salmon was super yummy and fresh. For dinner, I ordered the Teppanyaki Shrimp with fried rice, and my boyfriend got the Teppanyaki Steak with steamed rice. [he was a little dissapointed they didnt have brown rice]. Our dinners came with Miso soup and a super crisp, fresh salad with yummy ginger dressing, which came out just as we were finishing our sushi. The waitstaff has an amazing sense of timing it seems, because just as we were finishing our soup and salad, our dinner was brought out! My shrimp was so good - perfectly seasoned and cooked. My boyfriend's steak was perfect - tender and juicy.. so good i had to steal a couple bites. :P Both were served on a bed of crispy grilled veggies - onions, mushrooms, broccoli and zucchini. I would have liked a little more of the veggies - especially the broccoli.. there seemed to be an overabundance of onion and only a few bites of broccoli, but no biggie. The rice deserves its own praise. I could eat a mountain of that fried rice. They could have served me absolutely nothing but some salmon rolls and a giant bowl of fried rice and I would have flocked here to sing this place's praises. It is THAT good. Take my word for it and get the fried rice - my boyfriend sure was jealous he didnt. :P The entire dinner came to just over 50 dollars for the two of us - very reasonable for all the food we got IMO. I'll definately be back!

OMG I just love this restaurant! We went there for a friend's birthday and the staff was excellent! All the food we had was amazing, especially the filet mignon hibachi-style, and the spicy tuna. Also, we enjoyed a great bottle of Reisling with the sushi and the cold saki is to die for! And to top it all off, all of the people in our party received free dessert due to it being my friend's birthday! We will definitely be going back soon!

I have eaten at Hibashi a couple of times, and I absolutely love it. It is decorated really well and provides a fun, hip atmosphere. I have only eaten sushi here, but would like to eventually sit at one of the grills, too. I have had the spider roll, spicy tuna and shrimp tempura - all excellent. When I go there for lunch, I like to order the Double lunch special, which is two sushi rolls and soup for $12. A much better deal than ordering from the regular sushi menu. The servers are very nice and prompt. If you are in the Galleria area, I highly recommend Hibashi.

I highly recommend coming to eat at this delicious restaurant! Right when I first walked in, I was very impressed. The modern, unique design quickly caught my attention. The service was wonderful, and the food was AWESOME! I loved everything about the restaurant. I go there 3 times a week! The fire show was incredible; it was the best I have ever seen! The teppan grill show was very entertaining, and their special sauces tasted like food from heaven. I couldn't believe how fresh the sushi was! This restaurant definitely beats all the others, like Benihana and Blue Fish. I promise, you will be very impressed with Hibashi. You should definitely go check it out! You will never regret it!
