After receiving a tour with the Admissions department we fell in love. All of the management team is very professional and seems to care about their patients. Upon admissions, our family member was asked about their first night there. So far so good. We love this place.

I was not happy with this facility and the care. My mom was there in the Skilled Nursing Facility. Let me start with the positives: The facility looks great upon entry. Admissions are great sales people. The department heads were friendly. The director of Nursing was exceptional. Therapy department personnel were very nice. Here are few areas lacking and needs addressing and improving. During my moms stay, the facility was short staffed (nurses, techs and housekeeping), short in wound care supplies, short in linen and towels, short in tissue and sanitizing products... well short in most things that were needed for an extended stay. The room had a smell and was half cleaned. If I can be direct - half-assed cleaned. Sometimes the bed was changed, sometimes it wasn't; sometimes the bathroom was cleaned, sometimes it wasn't; sometimes the floor was swept... My mom would call for assistance and waited long periods of time; going to toilet, getting changed or cleaned up, turned in bed, being put back in bed. Really sad. Sometimes the staff was just inattentive and stretched thin. Some of the linen was old, torn, had holes and stains. The shower head was broken and the bath smelled most times even after cleaning. The food and service - the homeless and prisoners are fed better. The food was cold and most times inedible. It was shameful, and the director of food service should have been embarrassed and shame with the slop on a plate that she wouldn't eat herself. I don't think she gave a damn what the residents ate. Even the staff didn't/DON'T eat there. My biggest concern was the diet restrictions - which I had to address. It was real bad. REAL BAD! What is the purpose of a DO NOTHING social worker? Unbelievable.... friggin useless.

Run Forest RUN...

Enough said.

Great improvements in care over last few months! I am happy that they have made excellent changes in staff. Much more emphasis on patient satisfaction.

My aunt was there and going for rehab and she was not given her Medications on time. She needed assistance and was left in the restroom for hours! Nurses there have attitudes. They kept her there for hours in a soiled bed. What kind of service is this!! You are suppose to assist and rehabilitate!! Not cause suffering!! These patients have already been through so much and to NOT get the care they need is unacceptable!! You don't deserve a star at all!! I hope this helps someone else out and don't take your loved ones here!

Nightmare, my mother who has dementia fell out of bed and broke her shoulder the first night she was here. All they do is bring tray in and it sits there all day. We have to ask them to change her and give her pain medication. Never take vitals and never see a doctor.

Today is September 3, 2016.....The board in the room says August 2, 2016. My mother asked for help to go to the restroom as they requested, but the person responsible for helping her had a bad attitude about helping her. She just got her, but I don't think she will be staying. Horrible first impression.

Minus 0 would be my rating if possible. This is one of the most unprofessional, uncaring, inconsiderate, poorly stocked, arrogant, insincere, and money hungry facilities you can imagine. There are a few caring people sprinkled within the walls; but that is not the norm. PLEASE do not send anyone you care about here.

worst place to ever work at

The DON Ramona Few say she go to church on Sundays but comes into work on Monday and start raising hell. She has her little click doing her dirty work for her while she sits back from a distance and watch. When she is done using you to do her dirt she finds a way to fire you. The way i see it she is in that position just for power.

Steph G.

I suggest you get accurate information before putting things like this online. I know the DON and she was not fired from all of those facilities. Furthermore, it says a lot of a person's character and how they value as well as treat their employees when the employees are willing to follow them to their next position. It is obvious that you are one of those disgruntled employees that was fired. As I stated, I have known the DON personally for more than 40 yrs and if she fires anyone then they weren't doing their job. PERIOD

Worst Nightmare

Ever since the new management took over in Dec.2013 It has been the worst nightmare for both the residents and the employees. The new DON Remona Few has been fired from many nursing homes, rehabs and hospitals. Everybody who has worked with her in the past or is currently working with her knows her reputation. She fired 95% of the employees after she stared her new position. I'm going to keep it professional on here and not spew profanities. She hops around facilities to facilities like fleas and get whatever money she can get then she either get fired or she get fired. She has gotten fired from Grace Presbyterian Village, Golden Acres, The Doctors, Premier, two different nursing facilities in Richardson TX and many many more. These new companies needs to look into their past employment before hiring them. DO NOT TAKE YOUR LOVE ONES IN!!! at least not now when they're at the lowest point. Wait until maybe 5years later. Seriously!! Yes, I'm Serious.
