The host and manager helped me set up my proposal to my girlfriend. I was so nervous and they took care of everything for me so I could relax and enjoy the evening. The food and service was flawless and I've eaten at some of the most renowned steakhouses in the world, and this was, hands down, the best steak I've ever had.
This restaurant was recommended by my hotel and it did not disappoint. The steak is top quality as is the service!! The restaurant is actually underground; you take an elevator down from the street level. We went on a weekday and it was relatively full already.

We were looking forward to our night out. Dakotas Steakhouse Steaks ruined that. The service and atmosphere were excellent but that was it. The steaks were terrble. My wife and I had the filet and new york strip medium well. They came out ""well done"" aka charred on outside and still mooing on inside. Do not recommend this restaurant.

My husband and I went to Dakota for a romantic dinner for our first wedding anniversary and were incredibly disappointed. We arrived a few minutes before our reservation and were seated right away. We then sat for 20 minutes before we were waited on, and that was only after we had requested a server TWICE. When we were assigned a server he didn't tell us the specials, did mention that he knew nothing about wine, and sweated profusely through the service. At no point did anyone come over and apologize for the fact that we waited to order drinks while other tables seated after us received their first course. The beef was excellent however; our side order of asparagus was inedible. The stalks were almost 3/4"" thick which is too old to be served at any restaurant, let alone a high end steakhouse.
I cannot explain how disappointed we were after looking forward to a great anniversary dinner. Despite the ambience of the outdoor dining area we wouldn't consider visiting Dakota again.

My husband and I and two of our friends dined at Dakotas to celebrate my husbands birthday. The hostess was sincerely friendly and gave us what she called ""the best seat in the house."" it was a quiet semi-private area where we could view the entire dining room. Our server was helpful in selecting a fantastic wine and appetizer to begin our evening with. After talking to the server and his knowledge, we each chose a different item on the menu. The steaks were cooked to perfection and were the best in town. Our friends each had one of the fish seletions and all of the flavors complemented each other. The server brought over la arge slice of chocolate cake with a candle, compliments of Dakota's, to celebrate my husband's birthday, and we didn't even tell our server it was his birthday. The management was very attentive to us and to all of the guests. All of the servers worked together as they were busy with large groups. I highly recommend Dakota's for any special occasion or just a night out.

I have been to Dakota's a few years ago, and rembered having a good experience, so I decided to go with a friend for her birthday. That was a mistake. The food was horrible (I ordered the lamb shank medium rare and it was as tough as leather) when I told them that I wanted to send it back, the waitress seemed annoyed and was very rude. The manager kept walking in and out (as we were seated outside) but never even came to our table to see what was wrong. The restaurant wasn't even busy, so he didn't really have an excuse. We didn't eat any of our food, payed the bill and left. I will never go back nor would I recommend this place to anyone!

I wanted to surprise my b/f for his birthday and after reading some really good reviews, I decided to choose Dakota's and I'm so glad we went there. At night, the view of the curtain waterfall and the candlelite on the tables set a romantic mood instantly. Soft music played in the background. Our waiter Joe, was very helpful in helping us choose what to eat. We started off with a Ceasar salad. It was light and refreshing with fresh croutons and a drizzle of light caesar. I had a fish item with mango a little bit of lemon butter sauce while my boyfriend tried the aged dried Steak. Their tropical martinis are excellent. The evening came out well. I will definitely be back at Dakota's as long as the food and service is the same.

My wife and I went here for our 25th, While I would reccomend the view from the paito as above average we did have a couple of issues. The first was the salad, you can only get what dressing they offer, which is almost nothing, my wife ordered hers dry and they still managed to get oil and vinegar on it. She didnt eat any of it. I ordered my steak ($50) medium and hers well done ($50) and they got that backwards....The steak was tender but only average in taste. For my money ""Outback"" does it better. We wont go back.
