I would give them no stars if I could.
Everyone that works there is rude. Just plain rude. Reguardless, I was told that they have amazing cakes and so I wanted to try them out. Sara took and placed my order and wasn't very nice on the phone. She actually old me, ""You're lucky we have something available."" I'm lucky, am I?
Then when I go to pick up the product, the space is dirty. It really made me question what kind of product I was getting and if it would really be ok to eat it. Then the few girls working the register never greeted us as we walked in and never said 'Hello' back when we said it to them. How ""lucky"" am I to get such great customer service. Then, to top it all off, I was over charged on the cake and couldn't cancel my order because it was ""specially made"". I ordered a regular cake on their menu. I don't see how that means ""specially made."" Also, who in their right mind wants to pay $45 for an 8"" cake? I sure as hell didn't want to.
I wish I never walked into that dump and never wasted money on one of their cakes. I will NEVER buy anything from this bakery again and suggest all other potential buyers to BEWARE! Stay away from Aston's!!!!!

I have wandered in Ashton's Bakery many times to pick up sweets for my boys after school or ball games, never really impressed average baked goods. I decided to give them a try with a cake special ordered for a party. Big mistake, the telephone call placing the order should have been a sign. Rude would be an understatement. When we went to pick up the cake it was not ready as promised, after several visits and still not ready I decided to cancel the order, the owner not very professional just walked away while I was speaking with her about the problems I had encountered, it seems that 3 generations will not always teach you good business practice or how to speak to a customer. The owner actually chewed on a tooth pick the entire time I was speaking with her, and had this attitude of I could care less! Not sure how they have survived in HP and PC. I am from Georgetown and they would never have lasted this long with that type of service. Great news is that I drove across the street to Eatzie's and picked up a beautiful cake and the event was perfect. No more Ashton's for our family. Wish them well but perhaps work on the customer service aspect and clean up the place, it was hideously dirty and the view I had of the kitchen made me worry about the product.

Okay as a child nothing made me happier than going to Aston's and getting a ginger bread iced cookie. All of my birthday cakes and pretty much any celebration in my life was centered around and Aston's cake (champange and Texas pecan) but I recently ordered a cake for my mother's birthday and was beyond disappointed. It was sloppy and had more icing than cake and was poorly done. I did order a dozen ginger bread cookies and they were still awesome, same recipe although not iced as well.
Hopefully they were just having an off day.
