The fact that this business has remained intact for as long as it has is beyond me, an incredible feat really. As a previous insider of this business, please do your due diligence with regards to hiring this company.
I can guarantee you that you will pay upwards of twice of the original estimated cost and the contract that is presented to you with the original purchase price is purposefully embedded with language designed to dupe you out of your money. Stay away from this business if you value your money. Please locate and research other reputable movers in this area who are actually in the business of moving rather than conning customer out of their hard earned money.
I have a very good suggestion for everyone who is looking to hire the best movers based on service and price. No point on guessing that I am talking about Across USA Moving. They don’t have the flashy ads or do not apply tricks to attract customers but that doesn’t mean that they are not experienced. I am sure that these movers are highly experienced and real professionals. I used them for my office move and they were simply excellent during the move. I recommend them for a very smooth, stress free and timely move.
After experiencing their service, I must say that they are the best movers I have ever used. I used them while shifting my house. Movers not only came on time, they also managed to finish the entire move before the allotted time and surprisingly delivered a 100% perfect move! It is quite obvious to see some broken and damaged stuffs after the move but I was lucky enough to avoid all these incidents. Movers did their best to ensure the safety of my stuffs and they were excellent to maintain the schedule. I am very impressed and would like to recommend Across USA Moving to my friends.
I really must say I have no complaints about Across USA Moving. They really had us amazed by their incredible services. My husband and I were very worried about hiring movers to handle this BIG move but they took GREAT care of US!! TX to LA is a far distance and they did it well. Everything that they wrapped look like a huge ball of bubbles, they were so meticulous with the way that they wrapped and maneuvered our large pieces of our bedroom suite. Thanks for taking care of us.
I heard about Across USA Moving from my uncle. So, I decided to use them for my own move. Now after relocating to Memphis, TN from Dallas, TX using Across USA Moving, I have to admit that I made the right choice. They were so good that I did not have to lift my fingers for once. Everything went as smooth as possible. David and his team delivered all my belongings before the allotted time and when I checked the inventory I did not have any reasons to complain. I am also happy with their price.
When I had to move I didn't think I was going to be able to afford a mover. When Across USA Moving contacted me to give me a quote the sales executive was very thorough going through the details and I was impressed by his professionalism. That professionalism was apparent in the crew too they really knew what they were doing like they have been working together for years. The company provided storage for me till my new place was ready and delivery went smooth as well. They took their time reassembling furniture and setting things up as I requested. They did such a nice job I wish I could afford to have tipped them more but I am tight so this review is my extra tip to all the hard working staffs of Across USA Moving.
I have to say that Across USA Moving have the real pros taking care of their business. Recently we moved to Miami, FL from Dallas, TX using Across USA Moving. They served us a lot better than what we were hoping for. It was a very neat, stress free, quick and affordable move in the end. I thank their movers and the sales guy Robert.
I used them about 4 months ago while shifting to another house with my wife and I used them again yesterday for my uncle’s move. When my uncle asked me to find him a reliable and affordable moving company, I hired Across USA Moving because I used them before and I knew that this would be the best option for my uncle. Thank God that the movers did not let me down. They did even better this time. They completed the move about an hour before the schedule, charged less than the original quote and ensured the safety of my uncle’s belongings. I thank them for being so efficient.
I moved my entire office under my boss’s order a few weeks back. He had his complete faith in me that I would choose the right company for moving. So I was very much under pressure. Then my wife recommended Across USA Moving. I trust my wife and so I gave this company a try. On the day of shifting they arrived there with a complete plan of moving. They worked like machines and packed and placed and moved them very quickly within the scheduled time. My boss was very happy with me and his trust on me even grew more. So Thank You Guys!
I will say this, Robert and his guys worked hard for the 9 hours as they moved me from a 3-story apartment floor to an interior apartment on the 6th floor. I had a queen size bed and that is a hell of a hassle to open it up and put it back in the right way but they showed real patience and got all of it done very nicely. Even there was a time when they had to get stuck in the elevator for like 30 minutes because of the bad service of my previous building but they were so cool headed that impressed me in every possible way. Across USA Moving is a company that is always going to have my faith I believe.
I used Across USA Moving about a week ago for a 3 bed room apartment move. I called several moving companies but Elizabeth (sales rep) offered me the best price. So, I hired them for the move. I knew that movers had to be very careful because there were many fragile items and they had to use the stairways. I was keeping my fingers crossed and hoping for the best. It was good to notice them being very careful while packing my stuffs and they did really well to move everything using those narrow stairways. Though they were extra careful but that did not cause any delay. They still managed to complete the move within the allotted time and made sure that nothing gets damaged or broken. I am really happy with such committed performance. Thanks a lot guys.
I highly recommend Across USA Moving because they were extremely nice and professional from the beginning. Daniel, the salesman at Across USA Moving, was really friendly. I made some changes three times and I thought that it would be a problem, but it was completely all right. I had a piece of furniture they could not take out of the living room, so they had to remove the door. Nothing got damaged. They did their job in an outstanding way. Quick, professional and efficient! I was more than satisfied. Across USA Moving made me feel relaxed. I called many companies, but Across USA Moving was the cheapest. The guys arrived on time and started loading my things straight away. If I have to move again, I will call them without hesitation!
I am a repeat customer of Across USA Moving. Just 6 months ago I used this company for a residential move and yesterday I used them once again for an office move. They were assigned for the full service. Robert showed up 10 minutes early with his crew with the packing materials and necessary tools. They used plenty of tapes, bubble and shrink wraps, wrapped and boxed the office stuff and padded the furniture for safety. It was good to see the concentration during the loading and I appreciate the way they managed every possible inch of the truck. Delivery was made before the allotted time and they helped us assemble the furniture and to setup exactly how we wanted. I am thankful to Across USA Moving for a very smooth and quick transition.
I was about to choose the cheapest company but changed my mind at the last minute and hired Across USA Moving because of my friend’s recommendation who recently used this company. I talked with their rep Elizabeth and got enough confidence. She seemed to know her job very well, did inform me what they can do and what should I expect and never pushed me to hire them. I booked my move with them and I was hoping for the best. They had to do the packing and moving and there were plenty of delicate and fragile items which were my main concern. But these people knew how to manage a long distance move where they had to deal with so many breakables. Moving was completed within the deadline and nothing was damaged or missing. I got everything mentioned in the inventory list and they also helped us unpacking and setting up the furniture. I also need to mention that the final cost was within the estimated amount. So, I am recommending Across USA Moving.
I have not received my stuff yet, but I must say my experience with this company so far has been terrible.
Poor coordination, unreliable movers, and terrible customer service. The replies from the different service representatives I have talked to have not been in line and are occasionally dishonest.
My pick update was a mess. If you take off work for a window of time or have a busy day, don't expect them to match that window. After waiting around for quite some time for a pick up estimate, I called at 3PM, saying that I really need to get some things done, is it okay for me to leave. She said that the movers would arrive at 7PM at the earliest and I would get a one hour warning. I leave my house, drive about 40 minutes away to take care of some things. Immediately, I get a call saying the movers will be here in 45 minutes (5:30 PM) and if I am not there, they will have to reschedule pick up for tomorrow.
I was told on the phone a cashiers check would be acceptable for pick up and delivery, so I went to the bank and payed for both one for pick up and one for delivery. Of course, when I talk to Robin on the phone, she says a cashiers check will not be acceptable for delivery. When I said I was not told that, she makes it sound like it is a misunderstanding on my end instead of taking responsibility for the poor communication on their end.
After coordinating via email with Robin, she had told me she would get back with a move estimate of the day my stuff would arrive "tomorrow". They rarely answer their phones or return phone calls unless you leave a pretty unhappy message. Two days later, my call was returned and Robin says that she will call me this weekend to give me a delivery estimate when they have a driver. That will be a a week and a half after my pickup date and my stuff has just been in a warehouse. To get the sale, they will mention that it's usually 4-5 days from Texas to Seattle, but they fail to mention that your stuff will sit in a warehouse for 1-2 weeks before hand, you only find that in the fine print. When I complained that she is not getting back to me when she says she is and not delivering estimates when promised, she lies saying she left me a voicemail yesterday. If she left me a voicemail, there would have been a voicemail. Again, a failure to take responsibility for poor service.
This is a dishonest, poorly run company. Don't be fooled by the polite service representatives on the front end. Updates soon when my stuff actually arrives.
Great experience! I really liked the crew that came to my house they were so polite. On the pickup and the delivery, they were really great. The sales rep was very friendly and knew his job very well, very helpful on the phone. Across USA may not have the cheapest rates, but they have a very professional team and great services! I recommend them highly.
If a used car salesman and a pick-pocket/con artist had a love child, it would be the owner of Across USA Moving, Yair “Jerry” Gamlieli.
If you only take away one thought from the reviews on this page, let it be this: Run. Run for your life.
They said if I had my things picked up on Monday, August 4th, that it would arrive in SF on Friday, August 8th. She told me that the move would cost $1200. I don’t have a lot of things - so this seemed like a nice deal. The movers came, and BOOM all of the sudden the end result is $3200. How did that happen?
So the next morning, Tuesday, I call the moving office just to be sure we are on track for delivery. Robin, the delivery-date-person, said that they were going to have a truck leave Texas to California the FOLLOWING FRIDAY, AUGUST 15TH. Come again?
This is when I snapped. So, I was put in touch with Josh Berry, a customer service-ish person. I’m willing to bet that the owner “Jerry” is Josh’s biological father. So then he offers a few solutions to expedite my order for the cost of $1500. Yep. To have my things by the time they said I’d have them, I’d have to pay $1500 more. Why? Because if you read the fine print on the contract, it says that any delivery dates agreed to by the staff are “merely estimates” and that they can take up to 14 business days to get your things there if they wanted to. And believe me, they do. They hoard your things in an effort to save gas and mileage.
I even escalated and started emailing the owner and another VP. Not one member of leadership would even agree to speak with me. Now that’s great customer service. Apparently, the owner was conveniently out of pocket during the few days this was happening because of his “religious beliefs”. I’m sure his god loves it when he rips people off.
So, long story short, I agreed to pay this absurd fee because at this point it’s just about necessity. The next day, Josh calls me and says that Jerry decided NOT to expedite my things. He said, sorry but it’s just not going to happen per Jerry’s whimsical decision. They blatantly decided to not honor their expediting service agreement after taking payment - with no explanation. And they wouldn’t actually be getting my things out of Texas until Monday, August 18th.
So what about all that money I just gave them? Well, they aren’t refunding it either.
So, I sat here. I sat here defeated. The good news is that I have engaged an attorney who is currently looking over all the paperwork (looks like I have a case), I’m filing a BBB claim and I’m going to file claims on the charges with my bank.
Today is August 25th. It is way passed the 14 business day guarantee, and I have broken glass, chipped wood, broken furniture, etc. I have taken pictures of the damage, so consider that another claim unrelated to the unethical practices.
So, the moral of the story is that Across USA Moving is the type of company that SHOULD NOT BE IN BUSINESS just based on morals, ethics and out of basic regard for humanity. They took all of my belongings for a month. Without any consideration for what this does to the lives of their customers. They did it to prove a point because I argued - but they should think about who their audience is before they mistreat people. They should know who has powerful connections, as well. Thank goodness I have family and friends that were willing to provide me with food, air mattresses and with clothing. Seriously - think about it. They took my life from me during one of the biggest times of my life and never gave one thought to my feelings, well being, health or quality of life.
I hate them all.
We found these guys on lines for a last-second out of state move. There were absolutely no issues or unfortunate surprises. The Movers showed up on time lead by Alex, wrapped everything really well and had my items delivered few days later to my new place in XX. We will definitely recommend Across USA to all.
Zero is the rating, but it's not allowed. Across USA Moving and Storage, robbed me blind. They charged me over $1400.00 to not only steal my personal belongings but then proceeded to bill me in excess of $5,000.00 They are as crooked as they come. There workers appear to be common street thugs who arrive over 8 hours late and move your items throwing them onto a truck until after 1.00AM. The "Moving Coordinator" Ken gives you a low quote and says they disassemble your furniture and wrap everything and then assemble everything upon delivery. The whole company is a Scam, they make their money buy stealing from honest hard working people. The pick up your personal belongings, then hold them hostage extorting you for money because they figure you will pay at any costs. They then steal your items, never deliver them or deliver only part of your belongings completely damaged. When you call to inquire about your items, they send you to an area called "Customer Service" which is the Third Party vendor they utilize for damage claims. They hang up the phone when you call and the "Customer Service" Manager Josh never returns phone calls. It's one big scam where they bleed you dry until there's nothing left. These people are the scum of the earth. They are a bunch of criminal minded, back alley, drug addicts who steal from the hard working Americans within this country. I implore anyone avoid this crazy farce of a company at any costs. They are the worse, most disgusting group of human beings to walk this earth. Complete trash and scum who pose as movers, but really they are just low-rate thieves!
I hired Across USA because I read many good recommendation about their service and I decided, I will use their service as well. I contacted Sylvia their sales rep and she provided me with a very accurate estimate for my move. They not the cheapest one, but they definitely very professional and efficient.
