UDR is scum. 1900 McKinney is loud overrated and way too expensive for an apartment complex. I would be more than happy to share with anyone the emails I have received when I had an issue with the management of the company. You will be shocked by how unethical and deceptive they are. I agree with anyone who says that the management will try to keep your deposit at any cost and the bldg. is not safe because of the glass house club. I have had to deal with noise loud enough at night that I could not sleep without earplugs. The apartments facing downtown are extremely loud. It is like being in your car on the highway. But the worst part is having to deal with UDR.

1900 McKinney Apartments are well-appointed, pricey places with great views and an awesome location. The residents there are friendlier and more polite than in any other apartments I have lived in before.
Parking can be a problem, on weekends especially, but overall was not a major sticking point for me.
The pool and gym are adequate but others in the area are better for less.
Noise could rather easily be heard from other apartments but my particular neighbors were polite and it wasn't a big issue for me. You would also get cooking odors from below which, again, wasn't often or a big deal to me.
My major complaint is with management. They are fake-friendly in passing but not particular good at their jobs. They also seem to be miserable in their positions. They made major mistakes both FOR and against me regarding pro-rate quotes. You have to be persistent with them, and call-backs from them are inconsistent at best.
I needed a cheaper apartment and preferred to not have to move out of the building. They completely missed their opportunity to keep a tenant by not following through with my request for other apartment options.
My apartment was immaculately cleaned throughout my stay there, and on move out, I used a handy man that THEY referred to repair holes in walls, etc. When I asked to have an exit walk-through, they were too short-staffed and would get to it later. When you give 60 days notice, they should have ample time to schedule an exit visit. Don't make this mistake if you rent there. They WILL keep all or part of your deposit, which is substantial. Take pictures and insist on walking the unit together.
Otherwise, it is a nice place to live if you can afford it!
