It is a shame that one of the more pleasant dining experiences in Downtown Dallas is no more. The kitchen rated quite goog to great. Prices were likewise. he view was incredible. Alas, the restaurant never recovered after 9/11 and struggled until Sheraton management took over the contract fr…

Even though the ""steak 101"" lessons the waiters do as you order can create some awkward moments the food at this establishment is nothing short of exceptional!! Some of the best steaks I ever ate. Also, do NOT forget to preorder the soufflé. I am very comfortable saying that Morton's makes …

Gorji taught me how to make the most succulent pork chop I have ever eaten. In one of his cooking classes he showed us how to put big thick pork chops in the microwave for a few seconds after grilling to make sure that the center is not rare. That way you can still have a thick, juicy chop, but …

The steak and everything else are terrific. Great chef! I spoke a bit with the General Manager and he was very enthusiastic about his restaurant which I really appreciated. The service was very efficient and friendly even though they were packed.

Don't do take-out. I can't comment on the food, but I placed an order on the phone and was told to pick it up at the bar in 30 minutes. 50 minutes later it still was not completely ready. When I arrived, part of my order was sitting in a bag, then about 30 minutes later they had located the r…

One of the best restaurants on the planet! The hibachi shrimp and chicken is the best, and the fried rice is exceptional! The soup appetizer is the best too. They do charge for soda refills which is little strange, but I look past it to eat here.

Bob's is a great place to go with family and friends to enjoy an exceptional meal with a wonderful atmosphere. I would recommend Bob's to anyone, not sure why anyone would have a negative review.

I had a chance to take my date to a wonderful steakhouse. I have lived in Dallas for nine years and always gone to Bob's and most recently Ocean Prime. Another guest at Ocean Prime told me about Nick and Sams. Boy, was I blown away from the moment I walked in. From the door to the check ever…

Our favorite family style steak house in Fort Worth recently closed, so my wife, mother, sister, 5yo great-nephew, and I ventured to Dunston's for our Saturday evening meal. We all had a great time, great food and great service. We were seated immediately, our waitress [Stephanie] was friendly …

This place is AMAZING, they have a great set up, beautifully decorated, top of the line. The waiters are very friendly and helpful, they are very knowledgeable about all the food and drink selections. We had a party of 20 so we were in a private room with two superior waiters, anything we asked for we received in no more then 1 minute later. The food is outstanding, we had the crab dip, the rock shrimp and the crusted green beans as a appitizer, the rock shrimp wasnt my fav but it was still pretty good, the crab dip and crusted green beans are a must. I had the Turf & Surf as my entree it was outstanding, the steak was cooked perfect with great flavor and the shrimp were HUGE it was served on top of a bed of garlic mashed potatoes and we also had their skillet mac & cheese =D it was all VERYYY good. We finished off dinner with the chocolate cake....OH MY GOODNESS, it is heaven, its pretty rich but its served with a rasberry drizzle its a must also. If you are a martini person the dirty martinis are good to! I have nothing bad to say about this place at all, the valet was very good itself and it was complimentery. (Tips only). When in Dallas Hibiscus is a must, be prepared to spend a good chunck of money but it is allll WELL worth it!
We celebrated my wife's, Phyllis,70th birthday there tonight with oldest Son Jon & Daughter in law Tina, Daughter Deanna, son in law Kraig and 5 month old London, Deanna & Kraig's newest baby. Place was great but really pricy for the amount of food you get. Don't misunderstand the food was great just not enough if you are hungry. Great food, filets, sea food, chicken wings, burrito wrap with avocado, Brick Chicken, pasta chicken something I think ? Fantastic table bread & butter. Great wine (2 bottles). The brought cake with candle and we all sang happy birthday to the 70 year young wife of mine. She got high on 3 glasses of fine wine and was very funny to boot. Great evening I'd say ! The Host, Mike, was great and made sure everyone were taken care of and on time plus he was humorous and friendly and fun. I ordered a refill for my Coke Zero and waited 20 minutes & it didn't show so Mike took care of it. Then ironically as we were getting up from the table to leave they brought me another one which I didn't have the time to drink plus I was full by then. Over all it was a really great experience with a couple of very minor faux pas. We will be back again for sure.
This company...or at least this location treats their employees like dirt. They play favortism, do not think it is a problem when health codes are broken, and do not pay employees for work performed. There is a person that works in the bar that refuses to wear any type of hair restraint. Supposedly she had brain surgery YEARS ago. Any type of excuse for this has long expired. She also wears very long fake fingernails and seems to shower in perfume. All of these things are against health code regulations but the management QUOTE "We don't see a problem" UNQUOTE. There was also a person that worked at this location that performed MANY catering deliveries. The company is supposed to pay the person that performs the delivery a delivery, but this person NEVER received any such pay. It was approximately $452. This is a substantial amount to rip someone off for. The company also placed 2 room mates and best friends as General Manager, and Associate General Manager at the same store. WHAT KIND OF PLACE IS THIS? They also let certain employees get away with poor work performance while they punish others for better performance than that of the people that perform poorly.
As a foodie who loves eating out, York Street is hard for me to rate. The service is great, the food is great and the atmosphere is great, but relative to the the expense it is hard to judge. It is a very expensive restaurant and they only serve around 10 tables in a cute and cozy house. I try to judge my restaurants on some sort of scale to value because I don't want to end up giving good reviews to all nice expensive restaurants and bad reviews to less expensive restaurants because of course for the expense they can afford better food, service, etc. York Street is a tough one for me. It is a great restaurant and they do basically everything well. Their menu is creative and their food is very good. Their service is very attentive, etc. etc. I think I take it down to a very good 4 stars, because I do feel it is just a little overpriced for even as well as they do do everything. And I also feel that there is at times there is a little ego that bleeds through in their service that comes from patrons consistently telling them how great they are and how cute and cozy and wonderful their restaurant is.
I love Matts!! We 1st ate at Matt's when they opened up on Ferguson road, in a little building. We were gonna eat then go out to the lake, so we had an ice chest with beer and snacks in our car. Matt came out to introduce his self. Told us to bring in our ice chest. They didn't serve beer yet but we could bring our own. As we finished our meal, Matt came and sat down, on the ice chest. We had a great time!! After that we ate at Matt's couple times a month. My daughters always ordered the burritos. They were so huge and yummy! Over the years I've tried everything on the menus, but my all time favorite is Cheese & Onion enchiladas with rice and beans! And used to come with a few chips with queso on the plate, soo good!! What ever brand of cheese they use and how ever they cook it, I've never had anything better! When Matt's moved to Lakewood, I would see women come in with fur coats, and diamonds that would blind you, and sit next to a family with jeans and tee shirts. Everyone had a good time and was treated as an old friend. I am soo glad Matt's is opening up in Allen, it's closer to my home!!!
I had seen this place but never had an interest in stopping in until I was checking out at the Tom Thumb just a few doors away. A young man named Crockett told me they have the best wings way better than Wingstop when I told him I was on my way to Wingstop to pick up an order. 3 days later for lunch I decided to visit after viewing their website the food looked so good, I was excited to try their food and I wasn't disappointed . I ordered the chicken philly cheesesteak combo that comes with wings , celery sticks, pink lemonade and ranch dressing. I ordered lemon pepper wings. Since they were out of menus I wrote their menu in a notebook I had in my purse. I ordered a side of french fries when I noticed on the menu they wouldn't be part of the combo I ordered. I was totally satisfied and amazed how good the chicken philly cheesesteak was it is to die for. I have a new hot spot not far from work or home that I can visit. I took a pic and posted it on facebook to let friends know of this little gem.
My friend and I wanted to go somewhere new and to a place that was different. All Good Cafe has a very different atmosphere that is eclectic and welcoming. It was avert busy Sunday brunch time but we were seated within 15 minutes. One thing I noticed while waiting to be seated was that many tables were open but there were not enough employees to seat people or clean up tables after a customer left. I order chips/salsa and the migas for my meal. The migas were delivered first, not the chips/salsa which I would expect. The waitress told me she forgot to put in the chips/salsa and apologized. A minute or so later someone else brought me the chips/salsa and he told me I would not have to pay for them and apologized for the mistake. My actual meal was DELICIOUS...the migas were cooked right and the potatoes were amazing. I think they were short staffed on this day, otherwise they would have had better service. I would definitely go back again.
Beautiful and Cozy... This is not a place that will rush to make incredible food... You can tell that everything is scratch made... Yes, everything... If you are looking for quality service, incredible food and an intimate time with friends and family, then I highly recommend this place. My wife is still talking about how great my entree was... Southern Style Shrimp En Croute (shrimp in Herb butter wrapped in scratch made pastry). If I was in Death Row, this would be one if the items on my platter. Yes, I'm a Foodie! I saw the previous review and I wanted to say that on the menus it stats... That if you leave the tip section open on the credit card receipt, it will add 20%... Why write a bad review, because you didn't see it posted and/or didn't want to tip someone... Own it... Write in $0, if that's what you want or tell them what they did wrong...
About the Lunch Buffet..... SO much better than your typical lunch buffet bar. I was super impressed by this place. I honestly feel that the salad bar is top notch and is a smaller version comparable to a Souper Salad. There was so much more variety than I expected since they packed a great deal of different food into the bar. If you're on a diet like me and your friends pick this place you're still in the clear! They seemed to have interesting combos on their pizza toppings too. They had the typical pepperoni and such, but a couple of different pizzas for those who like to sample other types of pizza. Awesome garlic herb and cheese twisted bread sticks! Pretty cool, I hope this place does well. In my opinion definitely worth checking out. I wish I had earlier because I live so close!
My wife and I went out to Mi Piaci for a date night and have a really nice experience. As I was choosing a wine from the list, the waiter actually recommended a less expensive Pino Noir than what I was going to select because he felt it had better flavor for less price, and he didn't disappoint. The calamari was great, and the lobster bisque was the best I've had in quite some time. Our entrees, which the waiter helped us choose, were delicious, and we split the chocolate cake to finish things off. The ambiance of the restaurant was somewhat "Dallas" but still very comfy with a beautiful dining room, great lighting, and a pretty view of a pond with a fountain. Overall, a nice place for a mid to upscale dinner.
