Guacamole was delicious. Husband had fish Taco's and they were average. I had Flauta's and they were very tasty. Sauce is Good, chips are hot. Good atmosphere. Wait Staff very friendly and attentive. Would eat there again.

DO NOT MOVE TO THIS COMMUNITY. AS OF 12/3/15----- HUSBAND AND WIFE MANAGE THE PLACE NOW THE WIFE IS SUPER RUDE AND UN PROFESSIONAL. THE HUSBAND IS VERY NICE AND REASONABLE. NOT A PLACE YOU WANT TO LIVE ESPECIALLY IF YOU HAVE CHILDREN OR ANIMALS....

This place is amazing! I went for lunch and loved the atmosphere and then also went with friends and got margaritas! This place is conveniently located in the heart of Lakewood and 5 min from Uptown Dallas. Not only is this fresh Mexican food but they have amazing seafood dishes as well!

If you are in the mood for REAL I mean REAL mexican seafood, this is the best place to go to in Dallas. I always start with the ""La Calle Doce Margarita"" (includes ur choice of Jimador, Herradura, or Cazadores tequila) and a platter of CEVICHE tostadas. This dish has succulent plump pieces of…

Went to this restaurant for the first time and loved it! Since the owner is the creator of the frozen margarita machine, we had to try one of their margaritas. Had the Papas Margarita...handmade with lime and sugar and top tequila! Excellent taste! Server talked me into getting the Cilantro …

Pick anything from the menu of this place and you won't be disappointed. This northern outpost of the Hechizera Torta chain is an answered prayer. I've been craving tacos like nobodys business since moving to Big D. This place has fajita tacos to die for. A little onion and cilantro, squeeze of …

La Madeleine is pretty much known to be a chain french fast food. But in my experience it's been more then just fast food. I love the decor of the restaurant it gives u an old country atmosphere & love the fire place. It's very casual & very comfortable feeling dinning at this place. I l…

We have stayed at the Anatole many times over the years, but this last visit was the best we have had. The pros 1. First off, the Anatole, even though it has been around for many years, is in impeccable condition. The check-in and lobby areas are very nice, as the spacious rooms. The beds are really comfortable (think Westin heavenly bed comfortable), and the down blankets are coxy. 2. The Anatole is right in the middle of all the action. If you are catching a Mavs game, American Airlines Arena is less than two miles away. The Galleria is a 10 minute drive, and downtown, uptown and Knox-Henderson are an easy drive. My favorite mall, Northpark, is 10 or 15 minutes away also. 3. Nana on the 27th floor is one of the best restaurants in Dallas. I would compare this 5 star restaurant with the very best in Dallas, like The Mansion at Turtle Creek, Abacus or Stephen Pyles. We enjoyed the chef's menu recently, and the homemade pasta was so incredible that I ate it separately from the esquisite poached lobster that it was served with, because I didn't want the lobster to compete with the pasta. Have you ever had pasta upstage lobster? This pasta is that good! 4. I know we are in the south, but you sometimes take Southern hospitality for granted. The Anatole shows you with their service why they are one of the premier 5 star hotels in Dallas. Henry at the front desk immediately makes you feel at home, and his suggestions for activities are spot on. Matt, the manager on duty when we were there went above and beyond our expectations to make sure our stay was memorable. Watch out Conrad Hilton, Matt is gunning for your job! The cons The only con I can think of is actually a plus for many people. The hotel is huge, like The Wynn and Encore in Las Vegas huge. Of course, that allows for the many amenities that make this hotel so great, so I guess it is a wash. This is no intimate little boutique hotel, but their service will leave you feeling like you stayed at one.
I must first tell you that we booked our stay through expeida.com. opening our door we found that the room was not handicaped as requested, when I asked the front desk about it I was left standing there while several others were taken care of (all of whom arrived at the desk after myself).the ice machines on our floor were not working at all. the hallways were as hot as TEXAS is expected be. Now my wife and I have stayed in many hotels across the nation some of which were not so good others that were great this hotel was picked because of our stay in PORTLAND,OREGON. we expect there to be some things to change but this was way to much for the worse the only thing my wife and I do agree on was the resturant in the hotel we were not only greeted with warm and caring people, we were also treated to our first SUSHI and man it was GREAT . I don't see why the HOTEL couldn't be as good.. The two of us will not be back to this hotel again for the reasons above but also the bat had mold around it,the mattress had to be at least 5 to 10 years old the carpet was sticky (don't know why) the TV chanels didn't cover very much, The standerd that CHOICE HOTELS standerds by must have overlooked this hotel . The next time we are in the DALLAS area we will be sure to overlook this hotel also. Now you ask well why did we stay??? well it would take 7 to 14 days to refund the cost and we were just going to have to make the best of it . Oh befor I forget the pool was not even open because of some reason that couldn't be told to me After all this is TEXAS in June (duh)no pool?? whats up with that?? Now my wife and I will go back on the road for another 14 to 21 days befor our next time off.. I'm sorry to say we have spent a lot less for a lot more at a CLARION in another location,, guess we just have to look harder next time..
4 of us went here before a preseason Mavs game. We order the Fajita Platter and hoped that we could share it, between two of us at $22 for the PLATTER. When we got the bill we were each charged a Split fee of $6 just for sharing. No second set up of guac and sour cream or anything, just a split fee. We didn't even get a second plate. Nowhere is it even mentioned that there will be this fee. There isn't one on Forest!! After that, we got our bills and noticed the fee. I tipped $5.50 on my $25 ticket, and then in a rush, couldn't find my "eaters" copy of my receipt to fill in. In a hurry they all grabbed their receipts and we headed out. 2 days later the charge cleared with a slightly higher charge of $8.50 for tip. I have contacted them and yet to hear anything back. I don't have a copy of my receipt, and I don't want a refund. I just want to make them aware that someone on their staff is stealing from some people at this restaurant. I would hope for higher morals and customer service in such a high end location. I have another friend who was over tipped about 3 weeks ago at the same location before a stars game. We thought it might be a fluke, but now it seems way to coincidental.
RJ Mexican Cuisine: Great Seafood - Steaks - Chicken - Ribs Dallas, TX Review Date: 08/27/2008 OH My Goodness... I wasn't really in the mood for Mexican Food when I walked in there but I kept an open mind and I was blown away. Starting with the hot and spicy salsa...it wasn't enough to drive me away from it but it was enough to make my nose run and want some water. It was delish! I order Tacos and they were wonderful. Although I expected to get a typical taco with meat, cheese, lettuce and so but it came out with just meat and cheese and I was surprised with how much flavor it boasted. It came with a side of refried beans (which I usually hate) but they were also wonderful, slightly creamier than normal but they drew in a wonderful garlic accent with some additional spices I couldn't put my toungue on. The atmosphere was lovely and the staff was wonderful and a delight, RJ even opened the door for us. Even though it was raining, they opened up the patio for us so we could have a drink out there and be able to smoke. I would definately revisit them and I would recommend it to anyone.
I had seen this place but never had an interest in stopping in until I was checking out at the Tom Thumb just a few doors away. A young man named Crockett told me they have the best wings way better than Wingstop when I told him I was on my way to Wingstop to pick up an order. 3 days later for lunch I decided to visit after viewing their website the food looked so good, I was excited to try their food and I wasn't disappointed . I ordered the chicken philly cheesesteak combo that comes with wings , celery sticks, pink lemonade and ranch dressing. I ordered lemon pepper wings. Since they were out of menus I wrote their menu in a notebook I had in my purse. I ordered a side of french fries when I noticed on the menu they wouldn't be part of the combo I ordered. I was totally satisfied and amazed how good the chicken philly cheesesteak was it is to die for. I have a new hot spot not far from work or home that I can visit. I took a pic and posted it on facebook to let friends know of this little gem.
Today we were eating at our "favorite" downtown location of El Fenix and the "new" addition to the very loud music gave me a headache. This addition was completly unneeded the restaurant is a great meeting place for clients and for people to talk business and friends to visit. We have eaten at this location for over 50 years and brought our children up coming to El Fenix. The "new" owners really have made a mistake adding this music, it is hard to give the wait people an order even, let alone visit. The couple we were with today drove 90 miles to come to El Fenix and eat and visit. Visiting was out of the question. I told Elle that the music was terrible as we were leaving, she could barely hear me. Food was great as usual don't mess with it. Maybe play that music when no one is there only. Marian Gibson email@example.com / 214-827-2261 Your Senior Citizen patrons do not care for the loud music, hope you realize we do make a difference and listen to us.
This restaurant is beautiful,we were with some friends this past wednesday we started with the melted cheese (diping Cheese),and our margaritas were served in these fish bowl looking glasses, great margaritas!!!! we ordered our food, when it came out i was really surprice with the taste of it,great flavor over all everything was excelent,i will recoment this place to all my friends, decor is phenomenal, the manager came to the table intoduce him self i don't remenber his name, but the fact that came to check on us did make us feel welcome and important that even he asked what we think about the restaurant if we think that some changes need to be made on certain things, one think that we point it out was the lights, that they were too bright, my friend told me she went back on friday and to her surprise lights were set perfect!!
About the Lunch Buffet..... SO much better than your typical lunch buffet bar. I was super impressed by this place. I honestly feel that the salad bar is top notch and is a smaller version comparable to a Souper Salad. There was so much more variety than I expected since they packed a great deal of different food into the bar. If you're on a diet like me and your friends pick this place you're still in the clear! They seemed to have interesting combos on their pizza toppings too. They had the typical pepperoni and such, but a couple of different pizzas for those who like to sample other types of pizza. Awesome garlic herb and cheese twisted bread sticks! Pretty cool, I hope this place does well. In my opinion definitely worth checking out. I wish I had earlier because I live so close!
This hotel is totally different than the usual hotel stay. I travel quite a bit and was very excited to stay at Hotel ZA ZA, as I had heard wonderful things about it. The staff was very friendly and helpful and the room was really comfortable and just "cool" in every aspect. The decorations in the room and the hotel overall were very unique which is what makes the hotel special. I also love that the room had a white noise fan that really put me out and if there was any noise, I never heard it. The only thing I would caution is the nightlife there is definitely for the younger crowd so if you're thinking you're going to the bar to have a quiet evening its a very hopping and happening place. If you're into that scene then you'll love it.
This place should be the model for all neighborhood Mexican restaurants in the world! I was fortunate enough to happen upon the Forest/Marsh location when I moved into the area. Now, whether I move or stay, this is my official favorite Tex-Mex place on the planet. The friendly staff treated me like family the first time I walked in the door, and that has never changed. And the food has the distinction of being reliably excellent without being boring--no small feat in these parts. Previously my only qualm was that the place was too small to accommodate the large crowds on some nights, but they've even taken care of that via a smart remodeling job. Plainly put, these folks just know how to run a restaurant. How refreshing!
