Purchased a brand new spec home in May 2016. Prior to the closing, the floors were buckling back in April 2016. Dunhill "patched" floors just before the closing and whenever I expressed concerns over the floors, I was shot down that I worry too much. This is November and those patched ares are buckling in addition to the rest of the area. Soil erosion around the house is happening facing a foundation hazard. Again this is brand new home and Dunhill has been saying they will fix it. No specifics on when and how they will fix. Another patch work wont do. New floors needs to be put in place and the house needs retaining walls to correct the soil erosion around the house. so frustrated.
I have had issues getting a matter resolved from this home builder. There has been a crack above my garage that has progressively gotten worse since I’ve moved in. I contacted the builder and he came and looked at it and then directed me the warranty company for my home. The warranty company called out an inspector and the inspector found that the metal lintel support was not only installed incorrectly, but was improperly sized to support the load of the brick above. I contacted the builder about this and he informed me that he would be happy to fix it but all costs of labor and materials would be billed to me. I informed him that I paid for these services to be completed correctly the first time when I bought the home from him and that I was not going to pay again to fix something that was supposed to be done correctly the first time. Since then he has not responded to any of my correspondences.
I attempted to purchase one of their townhouses based on the fact that I had not heard or read too many negative testimonials and reviews. That, it turned out, could not have prepared me for the kind of unresponsive, illegal, arrogant and unprofessional customer service that I have received. I had decided to ignore the advices of many who had bought from Hawkins Welwood and had issues with leaky windows and roof problems. I was one of those people who leased one of his properties in North Dallas near the Keller Springs Dog Park. The property had many issues including: flooding issues in the garage, warm spots on the floor of the first floor. Hawkins Welwood refused to respond to my emails, at first, and then decided to keep half of the $5000 earnest money. This is illegal, and a very clear violation. Hawkins Welwood used to be a luxury builder, but it is not even close to this designation anymore. They are willing to break the laws in order to keep $2500 illegally.

Canopy Construction did a great job of my hail damaged roof. The sales associate helped me with the insurance claim on day one. We signed a contract and two days later my new roof was complete. Easy process with their help and the roof color makes the house look like new from the street! Thanks Canopy!
Canopy did a great job on our roof. They walked with our insurance agent to be sure we got everything fixed that had been damaged. We had heard so many stories about dishonest roofers we were a little nervous but Canopy never asked for a dime until the work was done. Canopy then handled all the paperwork and waited until the insurance company paid before billing us. Their crew was able to tear off the old roof and put on a new one in a single day.We were very happy with their work.Rich W
All of the homes we looked at that were built by Lexington Luxury Builders - I think they go by Lexington Companies - were truly exceptional. The attention to detail is extraordinary. We really appreciate the commitment which has been made by Scott Schaefer, the President and Chief Executive Officer of Lexington Luxury Builders and Kyle McCollum the Chief Operating Officer, to environmental standards, green building and sustainable development. Lexington Luxury Builders, Scott Schaefer and Kyle McCollum really seem to care about quality, green building, the environment, sustainable development and the community, more than any other builder we've seen.Lexington Luxury Builders is building a neighborhood of luxury townhomes right now in Downtown Plano, in the Historic Heritage area of Plano, less than two blocks from the new DART light rail station. It's called Lexington Park at Rice Field and I think it's considered a transit oriented development, but this one seems different. It is built around a cool private park and the entire project is environmentally responsible and green built, which is very important to us. The City of Plano apparently picked Lexington to be their exclusive partner to build Lexington Park at Rice Field as a public/private partnership. We saw an on line article about the project. It is awesome, right by the DART station, and very affordable.
