The Crappiest Hour has food that is merely okay...not horrible, but not good. The problem tonight was servers who are not focused on the guest. Steffan is slow. Slow in service and slow in attentiveness. Took a good 20 minutes for him to get around to taking our food order. And it wasn't that busy. After the food runner brought our entrees, we desperately needed refills. No Steffan, no manager on the floor. A waitress nearby was rearranging napkins on a table. When I got her attention and asked if she could please find Steffan, she acted inconvenienced and went back to rearranging napkins. Ten minutes later, Steffan shows up asking what he can do...oblivious to the empty glasses on the table. At this point, I asked him to guess what the problem was. It took him two tries. When I asked him to bring the check, he proceeded to take a food order from a huge table. It took another 10 minutes to get the check. We asked for a to-go container, another ten minutes. He never apologized for his slow service or lack of attention. A lot of the employees at this restaurant seemed more focused on socializing with each other, hugging, and giving shoulder rubs. The guests are merely an afterthought. Having managed restaurants myself, I recognize this as the result of poor hiring standards and management that is disengaged. I don't recommend the Crappiest Hour and I will not return.

If you're a standing model this will be the scene for you. Everyone is waiting to be approached. Most people are friendly but scared of rejection and normally will not socialize with individuals not in their click.

25. The Old Monk
2/28/2011 The Old Monk: Dallas I stopped into this East Dallas tradtion completely by chance. A very good friend of mine was trying to medicate the pain of the loss of a very good freind, and invited me along for the ride. I have been here once or twice, as a bartender on the strip, who met o…
29. Idle Rich Pub
I love the different beer choices here. The food is fabulous from the cheese place to a full fish and chips dinner. My favorite is the brunch. Mimoso's and Greyhound's are an awesome deal. They have a patio you can hang out on or stay cool on a hot summer day inside with a ton of different s…
I love this place. It's unpretentious, and they have a great beer selection. The patio has heat lamps that they turn on when it gets chilly, which I love because you can enjoy your drink outdoors even in the winter. I prefer the patio anyways, since it can get pretty crowded here. Sometimes they…
My gosh, went during the NFL championship and had to practically beg our server, Alex for service. Expect far more given the location and proximity to AA center
Tonight we decided to bring an out of town guest to the Rustic for dinner. There were 5 in our party so they first sat us at an oversized booth. These oversized booths are very uncomfortable for large parties since inevitably someone needs to use the restroom forcing half of the party to be inconvenienced. Whoever created these horseshoe booths is probably crazy. We were then moved to a large table close to a big metal door. This seating arrangement was better except that the table was sticky and there was a severe cold draft blowing in from somewhere. The restaurant was not very busy yet it took over 20 minutes to get someone to take a drink order. We asked for the table to be wiped down but it was so sticky we had to ask them to wipe it again. We finally ordered and received our food but because we had no silverware, we had to wait a few additional minutes. By the time we were able to eat, our entrees were cold - not warm- COLD. The cold food was tasty but I'm sure it would have tasted better Hot or at least warm. Waiting forever to get our drink order and then being served cold food are reason enough to avoid this place. Eat elsewhere and come for the music unless the music is as mediocre as the service. I will never know.

Very disappointed by the management and service from this bar!
_ The drinks and service are ok. The old woman that runs their Karoake machine is very mouthy and very rude to the customers. She gets very drunk and tries to get money, drinks, and cigarettes from the customers. If you wont give her any, she tries to rub her body on you, to try to get you to give her some. Very gross.
I like to go this place every Friday with my coworkers, I love the music, the staff is great and the beer is cheap. The food is good, nothing out of this world. I recommend this place if you are not picky about food and want to have a great relaxing time with friends.
This place has a cool, casual vibe to it. It is a true neighborhood bar with fun bartenders. I am going to be one of their firdt regulars.
Recently increased menu but the food is still just okay. Basically a bar with tables....very dark inside.
