Brisket was a little dry but must restaurant brisket is because the cut most of the fat off. A little BBQ sauce took care of it. Fries were outstanding, sorta like wing stop fries. Green brand were great. Tons of pickle, marinated onion, and other options. No atmosphere. Friendly staff

This place is AMAZING, they have a great set up, beautifully decorated, top of the line. The waiters are very friendly and helpful, they are very knowledgeable about all the food and drink selections. We had a party of 20 so we were in a private room with two superior waiters, anything we asked for we received in no more then 1 minute later. The food is outstanding, we had the crab dip, the rock shrimp and the crusted green beans as a appitizer, the rock shrimp wasnt my fav but it was still pretty good, the crab dip and crusted green beans are a must. I had the Turf & Surf as my entree it was outstanding, the steak was cooked perfect with great flavor and the shrimp were HUGE it was served on top of a bed of garlic mashed potatoes and we also had their skillet mac & cheese =D it was all VERYYY good. We finished off dinner with the chocolate cake....OH MY GOODNESS, it is heaven, its pretty rich but its served with a rasberry drizzle its a must also. If you are a martini person the dirty martinis are good to! I have nothing bad to say about this place at all, the valet was very good itself and it was complimentery. (Tips only). When in Dallas Hibiscus is a must, be prepared to spend a good chunck of money but it is allll WELL worth it!
This company...or at least this location treats their employees like dirt. They play favortism, do not think it is a problem when health codes are broken, and do not pay employees for work performed. There is a person that works in the bar that refuses to wear any type of hair restraint. Supposedly she had brain surgery YEARS ago. Any type of excuse for this has long expired. She also wears very long fake fingernails and seems to shower in perfume. All of these things are against health code regulations but the management QUOTE "We don't see a problem" UNQUOTE. There was also a person that worked at this location that performed MANY catering deliveries. The company is supposed to pay the person that performs the delivery a delivery, but this person NEVER received any such pay. It was approximately $452. This is a substantial amount to rip someone off for. The company also placed 2 room mates and best friends as General Manager, and Associate General Manager at the same store. WHAT KIND OF PLACE IS THIS? They also let certain employees get away with poor work performance while they punish others for better performance than that of the people that perform poorly.
As a foodie who loves eating out, York Street is hard for me to rate. The service is great, the food is great and the atmosphere is great, but relative to the the expense it is hard to judge. It is a very expensive restaurant and they only serve around 10 tables in a cute and cozy house. I try to judge my restaurants on some sort of scale to value because I don't want to end up giving good reviews to all nice expensive restaurants and bad reviews to less expensive restaurants because of course for the expense they can afford better food, service, etc. York Street is a tough one for me. It is a great restaurant and they do basically everything well. Their menu is creative and their food is very good. Their service is very attentive, etc. etc. I think I take it down to a very good 4 stars, because I do feel it is just a little overpriced for even as well as they do do everything. And I also feel that there is at times there is a little ego that bleeds through in their service that comes from patrons consistently telling them how great they are and how cute and cozy and wonderful their restaurant is.
I had seen this place but never had an interest in stopping in until I was checking out at the Tom Thumb just a few doors away. A young man named Crockett told me they have the best wings way better than Wingstop when I told him I was on my way to Wingstop to pick up an order. 3 days later for lunch I decided to visit after viewing their website the food looked so good, I was excited to try their food and I wasn't disappointed . I ordered the chicken philly cheesesteak combo that comes with wings , celery sticks, pink lemonade and ranch dressing. I ordered lemon pepper wings. Since they were out of menus I wrote their menu in a notebook I had in my purse. I ordered a side of french fries when I noticed on the menu they wouldn't be part of the combo I ordered. I was totally satisfied and amazed how good the chicken philly cheesesteak was it is to die for. I have a new hot spot not far from work or home that I can visit. I took a pic and posted it on facebook to let friends know of this little gem.
My friend and I wanted to go somewhere new and to a place that was different. All Good Cafe has a very different atmosphere that is eclectic and welcoming. It was avert busy Sunday brunch time but we were seated within 15 minutes. One thing I noticed while waiting to be seated was that many tables were open but there were not enough employees to seat people or clean up tables after a customer left. I order chips/salsa and the migas for my meal. The migas were delivered first, not the chips/salsa which I would expect. The waitress told me she forgot to put in the chips/salsa and apologized. A minute or so later someone else brought me the chips/salsa and he told me I would not have to pay for them and apologized for the mistake. My actual meal was DELICIOUS...the migas were cooked right and the potatoes were amazing. I think they were short staffed on this day, otherwise they would have had better service. I would definitely go back again.
Beautiful and Cozy... This is not a place that will rush to make incredible food... You can tell that everything is scratch made... Yes, everything... If you are looking for quality service, incredible food and an intimate time with friends and family, then I highly recommend this place. My wife is still talking about how great my entree was... Southern Style Shrimp En Croute (shrimp in Herb butter wrapped in scratch made pastry). If I was in Death Row, this would be one if the items on my platter. Yes, I'm a Foodie! I saw the previous review and I wanted to say that on the menus it stats... That if you leave the tip section open on the credit card receipt, it will add 20%... Why write a bad review, because you didn't see it posted and/or didn't want to tip someone... Own it... Write in $0, if that's what you want or tell them what they did wrong...
About the Lunch Buffet..... SO much better than your typical lunch buffet bar. I was super impressed by this place. I honestly feel that the salad bar is top notch and is a smaller version comparable to a Souper Salad. There was so much more variety than I expected since they packed a great deal of different food into the bar. If you're on a diet like me and your friends pick this place you're still in the clear! They seemed to have interesting combos on their pizza toppings too. They had the typical pepperoni and such, but a couple of different pizzas for those who like to sample other types of pizza. Awesome garlic herb and cheese twisted bread sticks! Pretty cool, I hope this place does well. In my opinion definitely worth checking out. I wish I had earlier because I live so close!
Best bar in Dallas, hands down. Great atmosphere, classy yet very welcoming, incredible bar selection including many import beers on tap. They will learn your name and take care of you. Excellent menu, bar menu available until 11pm. Smoke friendly patio. Dress up or dress down, you'll always feel right. Forget about Victory Park pretentiousness, this place brings class without the douche-bag effect. Great music (live on Fri nights), live entertainment (shows on Saturday night). Bring your friends, bring your date; you can even bring your parents. All are welcome! Reasonably priced. A must visit anytime your downtown; whether for an AAC sports event or a trip to visit Victory Park. Parking is free, convenient, and plentiful.
Dee Lincoln mentioned her cajun background, which may explain why the Crispy Oysters were the star of my dining experience along with the Bananas Foster Crumble. I’m impressed with the breading and comfort feeling after taking a bite of the oysters, and the sweetness of the bananas foster transported me to a New Orleans cafe. These items left me wanting more. I think the real lesson here is that if you eat here, the Cajun items are the way to go. Also, the Sushi Pizza intrigued me. The creamy sauce spiked with Sriracha and lots and lots of wasabi tobiko (flying fish roe flavored with Japanese horseradish) onto ahi tuna and tempura rice crust to pull it together. It’s a great starter or snack to enjoy while you dine here.
Elaine's has relocated to a brand new building a few blocks from the original location. The food is just as good as it was at the last location. The King Fish is my favorite. The fish is very fresh, you have a choice of how mild or hot you would like your fish served. I prefer the hot, because in intensifies all those wonderful exotic spices that Elaine's is known for.The Ox-tails are a treat in themselves, wonderfully tender and delicious. the side dishes of beans, rice and cabbage stand alone by themselves. The wait staff are very attentive and cordial. They make you know that they appreciate your business. Dining at Elaine's will make you think that you are on a island.
