This landlord is the worst individual I have ever leased from in my life. He's crooked, completely unprofessional, sexist, extremely vulgar and highly dishonest. I should have known the day I signed my lease when he reached over and kissed me on the lips not to mention the crude remarks he made…

Despicable property management! Hello, we moved out Oct 31st, turned in our keys, came back next afternoon make sure they received our keys face to face. About 5 mo later we received letters from IQ Data international (debt collection company). he Ashlar Apartment/BH Management Services reported a debt account on us to IQ Data about 2 weeks after our move out date! In document from IQ Data just false information, they lied about our leasing, move out date, we did not turn in any of our keys. They did not even supply IQ Data with our 60 day notice, but IQ still refuse cooperation. For 22 months we disputed. Unable to rent because The Ashlar reported this all by word of mouth whenever contacted, until we finally got legal representation. My advice is to not rent with them, more importantly Do Not Wait a second to seek legal representation, take action and take them out.Contacted BH Management Regional Manager disputing leftwithin 60 day notice. Her official response "Thank you for your emails. I reviewed your account and documents we have on file. All of the charges billed by the community are accurate. We also have submitted these documents when you disputed to our collection agency. At this time we will not be making any adjustments to the amount due on your account." "All of your documents are available through the collection agency. Your account is now owned by them. Please reach out to them if you have any further questions."How much more disgusted could we be?! The first year we had rented we had to smell what we though was sewage and turned out to be dog pop, pee coming through our vents for almost a year. Calling maintenance almost everyday so they knew our inconvenience, and the office never came didn't care and never did anything about it. Then their employees had stolen over $6000 cash we had to make a police report. That was so painful! These apartment had the gall to ask us to renew our lease and we refused to sign another lease this is what happened.
I would give them a NEGATIVE star, but one star is the lowest. PLEASE! PLEASE! PLEASE!!!!!! Do not move into these apartments because you ill regret it. The staff in the office is extremely lazy, racist and prejudice. I had a package that had arrived for me and the office only holds it for three-days. By law and lease agreement, they are suppose to call you or send you a text, I got no call or text. They were planning on keeping my item. The lady sitting at the desk I don't believe finished school by the way she does things . This woman is so lazy. She does not know how to do her job, which is take rent from tenants. We paid early and she shows up four days after the 3rd of the month and knocks like she was a cop of sheriff. Thank God!! we keep both locks on the door. She knocked three times, then stuck her key in OUR door and tried to make her way in. As you can tell i keep writing TRY because she didn't succeed. WE told her more than three times we were on the way to unlock it but she ignored us. She's suppose to have some type of management training but it doesn't seem like it. She was trying to ROB us since we weren't coming to the door. I was very angry and on top of that she had the nerve to say we were late on rent. Once again ,we paid it early so that was ridiculous. They do nothing about ROWDY tenants they only tell you they are but they LIE ALL THE TIME. These people NEED to get fired. Everyone in that office have no training of any type. Please move away from here or don't move in at all. This is worse then Hell.
I moved in my apartment May 16 since I arrived I have noticed roaches bed bugs and rodents in my apartment. I notified management the office manager was extremely rude and disrespectful and I tried to express my concerns over my living conditions. I’ll call corporate office left four messages for the vice President of public affairs and I have not received a return phone call.Rat.Marcine Jones
I rate my experience with this owner as a community supporter and advocate for better client relations' it is my duty and honor to post the good or the bad about apartments throughout our great cities, the community of renters work hard to stay ahead of everyday curve balls of hell' we call work and the last thing they need is an unhappy experience with the current management staff. I am rating this owner 1star I would like to suggest to the owner/owner's to keep up with giving the community of renters updates on your latest reviews encourage current (only)...residents to post their experience with management staff via' website' HINT' allow pre-post residents to see how your improvements are becoming better with time.
Stop and think before moving here. Place is a dump and lets not start on how bad parking is. Maintenance person is horrible, been in my place for 6 months and have put in several request for problems I've had since I moved in with nothing resolved. The pest control company is always skipping weeks and loses paperwork as to which apartment they need to go to. The smell in the area is horrible, including drainage even after I complained. Everything is old and outdated both inside and out. Can't wait till I leave this dump!
Worst place to live. I lived there for 10 months and it was an experience from hell. Where should I begin... Zero pest control. Place has roaches size of rats... Nasty nasty nasty place. Dog shit all around. They have a dog park which never gets cleaned. It does not even has real grass. It has one of those fake turfs (green color mat) which stinks up the place realy bad. Wait til its a weekend. Beer bottles and cans all over the place. There is 1 assigned parking spot per apartment which you pay $10/ month. Random people will park their car in the spot at night and then you have to go park your car at nearby 7 / 11. Try complaining to the office people. They will tell you to call courtesy officer and that courtesy officer will tell you to call the cops. Even tried that and cops did not want to come out there for parking spot dispute. Next in line... extra charges when your lease ends. Eventhough we had our lease for 10 months and we gave a notice 2 months in advance. We got slammed with $678 for BREAKING THE LEASE!!!! yes. Thats right. Lady at the office who took the letter from us either forgot to file it or misplaced it. God knows what she did with it but yeah.. we got slammed for 678 for her mistake. I have been renting for 7 years in tx and never missed a payment and have an excellent renting history. Spoke to the manager (3rd manager in 10 months) she was suppose to call back but never happened. So yeah... keep those extra fees in mind when renting. Rent at your own risk. Oh did i mention that people break into your car at night! Yup.... take your belongings with you when parking the car. They have no security measures in place.
I was there for a few years and my car was broken into three times. Despite being a clean person every spring and summer I had to battle roaches and swarms of fire ants. I actually put on a pair of jean one time and was stung eight times by the fire ants. The walls are so thin that you can hear a the people on the other side talking. The place is from the early 1960s and needs to be leveled even though it looks like in good condition from the street. The bathroom and kitchen was small. The bottom piece of wood of the large window in the living room was rotting from the condensation going down the window when it was cold and would become covered in black mold until I used bleach on it. The water is always being turned off to fix leaks. During a bad storm water from the patio door would leak from the top and get my curtain and carpet wet. Lastly, when I left they told me that I did 5,000 in damages which was not my fault. It's not my job to replace decaying pipes that should have been replace with plastic ones. In short this "dwelling" is a crappy place to live in that's too expensive. Best of luck and happy hunting.
*Terrible place to stay*Up stairs room had leak twiceGot locked out my place had to stay out side in my truck couldn't get no one on the phone till next dayTow truck took my truck one day And didn't report it to the police I'm glad my 12 months are overThank God
If you enjoy getting your car towed every week or your visitors. .and your rent going up every month, your apartment flooding and it taking a weeks for it to be fixed , shootings, kitchen and bathroom faucets hanging off wall...rude leasing office people, roaches, and car theft...then cielo ranch is the place for you
Los apartamentos son buenos y varatos. El mio esta renovado y viene con piso de madera. El complejo es tranquilo y tiene muchos arboles con un arroyo. Pienso que tiene buen valor para lake highlands area.
