We ate at Sonny Bryans in the West End while visiting the King Tut exhibit at the DMA, this location is a convenient quick train ride from the Museum. Located in quaint area of restaurants in Dallas, the West End, Sonny Bryans has the best pork ribs I ever had. Try the big rib man plate, around 12 ribs for 18USD, but way more than enough food for 2, so you can share. It comes with 2 hearty sides, a salad, fresh rolls, and a hearty portion of pickles, sliced onions jalapenos. Sit by the window, you get to look down at all the street traffic and passersby, also has outdoor seating but it was too windy that day. Excellent onion rings, a must have and try the turkey and brisket. The smoked sausage was mediocre. Service was excellent. The lavatory is located in the basement, accessible thru a lift. Sonny's has multiple locations, and when we asked around for the best bbq, Sonny's was recommended again and again.

Don't let the small space fool you. Tejano BBQ is THE BEST place for breakfast. They serve the best breakfast burrito that I have ever eaten. Generous amounts of bacon served hot and fresh. And the prices are lower than what you pay elsewhere.

Delta Charlie’sI do not normally write reviews, but I had such a great experience at Delta Charlie’s Restaurant that I am letting others know about this gem. The experience started with a Groupon for the combined airplane ride and meal, always a great way to start!!!. I was a little concerned about the flight as my wife does not like to fly, but she was very comfortable with the plane and we both enjoyed the flight around Dallas. Went to get a To-Go order for myself and a friend at work. Placed the order promptly. The wait was a little long, but not too bad. However, when I got back to the office I found that they had shorted my order by one of the 2 sandwiches. When I phoned, the only offer was to give me the sandwich the next time I came!!The sandwich we did get was pretty good and the serving size was good, but they weren't enough to make up for the poor service.
Ordered the three meat plate (comes with two sides): the turkey was Smokey and moist; the brisket slices were moist, melt in your mouth deliciousness and good smoke flavor; the ribs were bone-dry and tough; the collard greens were amazing, and cucumber-tomato salad was refreshing. The sweet tea is too dang sweet fore but tempering it with unsweet took care of it LOLNice place overall.
Price? Holly crap, $68 for two of us. Wow!Service line implementation is terrible: there is no reason on the planet they could not run a better faster service line. It's 2016, do we still need the outdated concept of the "owner" being the only person to handle the meat? They all do it, I know, but it's time we customers start a revolt and reject this stupid concept.
The brisket tends to be the most consistent meat they offer, and they will serve that any way you want: lean, moist, extra bark, no bark.Ribs are hit or miss: same with sausage and chicken offerings.Sides are an afterthought, it they taste like they are anyway: about the only ones I get now are the mustard greens and squash since you can't really eff those up much.
Just tried Sonny Bryan's for the first time. Loved the food, but have to let you know how well we were treated by the staff. They took great care of us, we're friendly, and genuinely cared about our dining experience. It's rare to eat out and feel like you are more than just another customer. We will definitely be coming back!
I have been going to Big Al's since I was a kid. It is absolutely the best and most authentic BBQ I have had anywhere in Texas! I moved away from Texas a few years ago, and every time I visit my family, Big Al's is the first place I have to eat! I recommend going on Saturdays when it's always Pork Rib Basket day. YUM!
