This is a decent daycare and the employees attempt to do their best for the kids. However, it is very poorly managed, depicted in the disorganization and frustration of the teachers. The treatment of the employees from the superiors is degrading, disregarding and disrespectful. I believe that's why the turn over rate is high. The teacher's frustrations quickly translate into the quality of care the children receive, despite good intentions.Management/corporate is slowly running all the good employees out.

This school is a joke! I regret putting my kids in this school and I will not recommend this school to my worst enemy... The previous review is absolutely right... The teachers n staff are very insensitive to the kids. In fact Dean Jones told my daughter her teeth was big and my daughter came home crying to me about it... Teachers have no patience and don't teach the kids and absolutely don't care about these kids. Getting my kids out of this hood project ass school asap! This ain't no charter school, it's a regular ass public hood disd school... Consider yourselves for warned! Try another charter school... Out of all the charter schools I researched, this school had the lowest rating smh... saaaddd..
My son went to this daycare for a few months, from January to April. He remained sick his entire stay. I took him to his pediatrician and even kept him home at times thinking it was just day care germs. WRONG. When I with drew him from day care I got all my supplies back including his bottles. I smelled them and immediately noticed a moldy odor. They are Dr.Brown bottles so theyre intricate to wash but one would think the daycare teachers would know how to properly wash these bottles. Inside the plastic piece that goes under the nipple was a ring of mold, heavy mold. My poor son had been drinking from this bottle his entire stay and was exposed to sickness and infections because of the mold in the valve. He was in the infant room and to be honest I got along with the staff but If you are planning on taking your children here be specific with the teachers because you just cant assume they are doing whats best.
This small, private school in the Lakewood area is home to students from K to 12th grade. Families will find a structured, caring, community atmosphere, with very involved parents. LPS had a strong academic reputation, a focus on extra-curriculum activities, and many opportunities for all students. Several of my friends' children attend this school and they indicate that they thrive here. And I have great memories of my days at Lakehill!
Agree strongly with writer who said school is OK if you're "..,white, conservative, and have never been divorced." Most teachers here are uncertified in their field, have serious learning/personality problems of their own, and stay as no school will hire them,. Many excellent teachers start off at St. John's in September and leave in June, or before..If this staid, small-minded environment is what you want for your son or daughter, be my guest, and good luck.
