College Misericordia is a liberal arts-based, coeducational, Catholic college founded by the Religious Sisters of Mercy in 1924. The college provides more than 25 majors in arts and sciences, health sciences, professional studies and social sciences. Its courses include biology, chemistry, communications, computer science and physics, English, fine arts, history, mathematics, philosophy and religious studies. College Misericordia offers a wide variety of noncredit courses, including swimming and fitness classes, sports camps and theater workshops. It also organizes workshops on a variety of topics, including diocesan priests, laws and religious life, scriptures, home safety and Alzheimer s disease. The college provides a wide variety of athletic activities, such as baseball, basketball, golf, lacrosse, soccer, swimming, field hockey, softball, volleyball and tennis. It also offers various facilities, such as a library, bookstore, campus ministry and scholarships. College Misericordia is licensed by the state of Pennsylvania, and is located in Dallas, Pa.
