I have been to plenty of animal hospitals but this one is by far the best one. We know the owner so we started taking our animals here. They have helped us so much espeically for my dog cowboy who was paralyzed from jumping off the couch and they made him walk again it was so amazing. I would recommend anyone to take their animals here, they give great care and love to the animals.

i took my dog to tracy animal hospital because he had a heat stroke. i normally dont go there but it was the closest vet to where i was. i brought my dog in and they were rude and uncomforting. they put him on i.v. and then released him to us about 4 1/2 hours later with explosive diaria and vomiting. he still wasnt walking much or eating or drinking. the next morning i knew something was wrong with him so i took him to my normal vet. he died later that day. My normal vet said that they would have kept him for at least an over night stay. it also smelled like urine in the waiting area.

If you care about your pets, please read. I'll try to be brief.
We were keeping a dog that had been treated at Tracy a week or two before, so we knew he wasn't in perfect health, but there hadn't been any major issues. I'll spare you the long details, but by night #2, we knew he wasn't doing well. It's not our dog, and he is getting worse, so we thought the best thing to do would be to take him to his vet and board him for observation and tests (BTW, we also have a dog, so this isn't our first rodeo).
Not only was the staff inexplicably rude when we brought him in, they did not care at all what we had to say about his deteriorating health...at one point the woman we were trying to relay symptoms to turned around and left the room! Mid-sentence! No, she was not going to get the doctor and, no, she was not listening. The best we can figure is that while we were in full crisis mode (and late for work), she thought she'd check on something in the supply closet.
The information we were trying to give her may have been helpful since we just found out (after 3 minutes at another vet) the dog was misdiagnosed.
I realize that diagnosing a dog can be difficult and that our experience is anecdotal, so I wouldn't rip on the doctor just for that. However, the staff reflects the doctor's disposition and the utter indifference to what we were trying to tell them ultimately falls on the doctor.
Good luck to the pets of those people who rated this place five stars.

The staff was very rude and they do NOT care about your animals. They only want your money. The doctor seems very good, although I never saw him. He operated on my dogs leg. My dog broke his leg and needed surgery after surgery I was told to pick him up after the weekend. I picked him up on that Monday only to have him smelling like feces and urine. He also looked underweight. About a week later, he was bleeding through the wraps. I am an RN at methodist hospital. I knew it was because his wraps needed to be changed so I took it upon myself to change them. I called and left a message about what I did, they called bcak and said I NEEDED TO GO NOW! They wanted to sedate him and I was gonna have to pay extra. I came to pick him up only to find that they NEVER wrapped his leg and they still wanted me to pay. I REFUSED. so they didnt want to release my dog. my husband went there and they finally released him. HIS LEG IS SWOLLEN WITH WOUNDS FROM HIS FEET TO HIS HIP. and now infected. after paying 2000 for the surgery in the first place they still want more, i think they mess up on purpose for more money

Dr. Tracy has been our familys vet for about 15 years, maybe more! He has treated many of our dogs and cats throughout the years. My dog recently was diagnosed with Addisons disease, and Dr. Tracy has done everything he possibly can for her. He is a sincere, well educated doctor that is there for you and your pet. He has a great treatment plan for her, and she is expected to live a normal and happy life!

I have 2 Aussies and a cat. I have been a customer of Dr. Tracys for several years now.
He is a wonderful, honest vet and human being. His staff is very friendly and will do whatever it takes to accomodate you.
Dr. Tracy will retire his clinic to his son one day, keeping it in the family.

I felt compelled to write this review because I want other pet lovers to experience the confidence and peace of mind that I do as a result of my pet's excellent care at Tracy Animal Hospital. My husband and I own a four-pound long-haired chihuahua which can make things tricky as he is so tiny and requires gentle handling. Twice Dr. Tracy and his staff have ""rescued"" our dog from emergency health situations. Dr. Tracy always provides a thorough exam and resolution of the situation and his staff is consistently courteous and professional. The technicians are knowledgeable and very caring when handling our dog. During the emergencies, Dr. Tracy's clinic kept me posted on my pet's status and answered all questions and concerns that I had about my pet's condition. I am particularly impressed with Dr. Tracy's decisiveness and conservative approach to solving problems. Tracy Animal Hospital has made our lives easier and our pet's life happier. I highly recommend this clinic to anyone who cherishes and loves their pet and much as we love ours!
