DISGUSTING, HORRIBLE, RUDE VET AND STAFF. Do not ever take your pet here!!!! They don't care about your pet at all, they don't follow vaccine protocols. They used the same needle on multiple pets and SPLIT my pets vaccines between all of them, not giving them a full dose. The "vet" loves to argue and curse you out including his staff. If you want your any records including a current vaccine certificate you have to pay $50 per pet. I've never ever heard of that before in my entire life. RUN AS FAST AS YOU CAN AWAY FROM THIS RETCHED PLACE.

I asked the clerk if I could take a picture she said as long as we are not in it. The lil guy walked in with a white coat and states, "no pictures, can't you read the signs, that's what there posted for" I tried to explain and show the pictures that I only captured the dog. He say "can't you read, no pictures" I say let me leave before I cancel my service, he say, " you want to cancel, cancel" I told them there's no way Noone will talk to me this way, they're other places that will gladly take my business. I was charged 154.00 for shots and bath. Then they say he must be registered another 60 bucks I said no thanks. Never going back!!! EVER!!!

This veterinarian HATES ANIMALS. Someone left a very tiny puppy on the his doorstep overnight-- probably hoping to find some help and compassion. Well, this swarthy little troll decided to take the little cage down to the curb, open the door and let the baby dog wander into oncoming traffic on FM529! This caused several cars to lock their brakes to avoid hitting the little critter. I got out and rescued the terrified pup & brought him inside the business. Rightbon cue the vet comes running up and screams, "that's not my problem. You have to call animal control". I asked if he could help and the jerk doctor said "No, that's your problem". Late for work, I kindly told him to F*** OFF. Well this little middle eastern man flips out anf literally tries to fight me! WTF? So I just walk out.. but this little sweaty monkey man runs outside screaming "F*ck yo... white trash... Go to hell you white trash"... Yeah, he's lucky he didn't get his greasy little butt whipped this morning. AVOID HIM.

For aome reason, I did nit read reviews about this clinic, I just thought vets are all OK, its been a while since I have a pet. Anyway , this place is a negative 0 star fir me . I took my 2 puppies in , and it doesn't seem like Dr Ansari did not do a thorough check, then they charged me so much for meds and check up. I gave it another month, and they just try to find ways to make money like cutting the tail, offering every quarter check ups ... Telling me my puppy have hernia. Finally on the 3rd month - I changed vet, I asked for my puppies records and once again they charged me $50 for both... I told the lady that I was suppose to fet thise records anyway, she insist that she gave me . When she opened the file, it was there and ahe still charged me .... This vlinic fo not care for you - they are all about money and not your pets. I found another vet inClay Road , and this vet did a THOROUGH exam on my dog - tild me she dies not have a hernia .See, that is just a money making scheme .

While I was visiting Houston, my Pit Bull had to be quarantined. I chose 529 Animal Hospital because of their proximity to the location where I was staying and the fact that they had availability. Marci, the Doc and all the vet techs were wonderful - which made a terrible situation much easier. They were very kind and understanding, explained the entire quarantine process to me and told me to call as often as I wanted to check on my pup - I called every single day and they were never annoyed or too busy to speak to me. When I picked him up, he was happy and healthy and had made friends with everyone there. One of the vet techs confessed that they may have given him a few too many treats... my response: How dare you love my dog while he's in the slammer! When we left, they gave him hugs and kisses, gave me a hug, helped me carry his things to the car and made me promise to bring him by to visit whenever we're in town. I couldn't have hoped for a better experience during a really tough situation.

ridiculous money grabbers

If there were an option for negative stars I would give this place -50. I came in less than 24 hours after my puppy 19 weeks old had shots and they tried to charge me another exam fee. They wouldn't even check her temperature or tell me if I could give her benadryl or anything else for that matter without trying to charge me more money. There a money grab they didn't even remember who I was the vet started yelling at me about was I mad because I had to put my dog on a leash the day before and it wasn't even me who he was speaking about so they don't even remember who you are. Worst place to bring your dog in the City of Houston. They will try to scam you out of whatever they can they don't care about treating their dogs they don't care about keeping relationships I've been bringing my dogs to this but for over 7 years in these people treated me this way it is uncalled for and disgusting!

worst vet

Do not go they will kill your pet. After my schnauzer got sick within hours of leaving vet I called worried but all they cared about was me paying for another doctor visit and would not see my pet unless I paid 80 first I went some where else but it was too late. The meds they gave were wrong dosage my dog died

This vet clinic is run by the worst human being I have ever met. He was rude, wouldn't even come out from behind his counter to look at the poor suffering dog. I happened upon an injured dog on 529 today. The dog was hit by a car and still alive but obviously suffering. A gentleman from the welding shop placed the animal in his truck and drove him to FM 529 Animal Hospital. We just asked if he could help this dog and he instantly said take this trash out, who is going to pay for this, I run a business. He cursed at me, belittled me, and never even asked about the dog I offered to pay to put the dog down and he said it would cost me $450 (baloney!) I do not even have enough room to explain how horrible this experience was. I usually do not believe in doing things like this, but this man should not be in the business of taking care of animals.

DON'T GO HERE!!!!!!!!

I brought my 11 year old dog here because he had all the signs and symptoms of congestive heart failure. I was initially caught off guard that I had to pre-pay for an exam. I told the receptionist that I came in because I thought my dog had CHF, so I'm sure I will have to pay for medicine later. I didn't understand why I needed to pay first rather than paying for the entire bill at the end. After the exam he suggested x-rays for another $300 which I again had to go up to the front and pay for before he would complete them. He completed the x-ray and showed me the images of my dog’s enlarged heart and lungs, and excess fluid in his belly. Still, he suggested more treatment, such as a heart worm test, saying the heart and lung condition could be unrelated. I told him I am very knowledgeable about congestive heart failure and I know that the swollen lungs is from the blood pooling back into them because the heart isn't pumping efficiently. He said that "could be a possibility", and said he would prescribe an antibiotic and something to get rid of the fluid. I asked if he was prescribing Lasix, a diuretic, and he said yes. I told him it was the same thing as what humans take, and I could get it filled much cheaper at Walgreens if he would write the prescriptions for it and the Cephalexin. He claimed to be unsure if it was the same drug. (I am a pharmacy graduate, so if I know what congestive heart failure looks like and that the medicines were human medicines he should definitely have known). He wanted to charge me $47 for each medicine and it was only a 7 day supply. I could have paid 1/3 of the cost at Walgreens. I called Walgreens while I was in his office to ask the price for the two medicines. The Pharmacist on duty told me to tell him to write for 25mg of Lasix because it did not come in 12.5mg for humans, which I could break the scored pill in half to create a 12.5mg twice a day dose. He refused to write for 1/2 pill twice a day, saying it was against the law. I might have fallen for this if I was not familiar with pharmacy and prescription law. Furthermore he said he charges $15 dollars per prescription to write it if he doesn't fill it in his office. By the time I left out of there I paid $442 (swiping my card 3 times throughout the visit) for him to not even admit to the fact that my dog has CHF. Additionally, when I asked for the radiology report and x-rays I was told that will be a $15 fee for giving them to me. Needless to say I will get my report and x-rays tomorrow and I will not be back!!!! This Vet is only concerned about money.

After moving here from Florida and leaving our beloved vet of 20 years, we brought our dog here who was losing weight for no obvious reason. After having to sign a dozen "release forms" for things like "has your dog ever bit someone" and promising to pay, etc. The vet did a quick exam and I agreed to have my dog's blood drawn because I'm a nurse and knew it must be something metabolic. Well, $290.50 later, after getting back the test results, the vet said he thinks our dog had either leukemia or a lymphoma and wanted to start by doing several X-rays that would cost over $500. I KNOW that X-rays will usually not pick up a soft tissue tumor and that he was wasting mine and my dog's time. The front staff was not very sympathetic and after finding out it was his wife, I could see that all they were really concerned about was my $$$.

I found another vet soon after that who I'm very pleased with. (Blackhorse Animal Hospital).

Coincidentally, I was driving down 529 yesterday and saw 2 dogs at the end of their driveway, way too close to the busy road. I pulled in and the dogs ran under the deck. I went inside to ask if maybe they escaped from the kennels. The receptionist told me "no, the kennels are secure" and showed no concern that these dogs might get hit by a car if left out there, and said all they could do was call animal control and that they could not be responsible. I told her that I would be responsible if they could help me catch them! she said they couldn't, so I walked out and easily got the 2 sweet pups in my car. I quickly remembered why we have not brought our own FOUR DOGS' business there. How can you work at a vet and not have concern for an animal?

AWFUL EXPERIENCE...

I took my German Shepherd to this clinic when he got some ear infection. I had $100 I could spend for it and when I called the clinic it seemed like it should be enough because the office visit was only $25. From my previous experience with our regular veterinarian I knew the ear meds were around $20 and it looked like my dog had the same kind of problem again. Ok, the 529 clinic looked spooky and my dog was the only patient. With some fees $25 turned into $35. The doctor examined my dog and told me he had some ear infection and that my dog had a high fever (I was very surprised because he was not any warmer than usual and was playful and ate well) and said he needs to run a few tests and estimated it with meds as around $200. I told him all I had left after paying for his office visit was $65 and asked him if he can tell what kind of infection it is. The Dr said nobody can tell like this what kind it is. And since I didn't have the money he wanted he told us goodbye and left my dog untreated and of course my $35 was gone. Next week I took my dog to his regular vet, it s a longer drive from me but I learnt it s so much worth it! They didn't need to do any tests. The doctor looked in his ears with a special tool and told me right away it was yeast infection. He gave my dog shots and we left the clinic with plenty of meds to treat the infection. This all cost me under $100 including the office visit!!! And I am sure if I didn't have the moneythey d let me pay back but would help my dog. Because they care about animals there and just about dollars. So, if u don't want to waste your money and deal with unprofessional Dr who doesn't care about your pet, choose about any other vet clinic.

DO NOT FALL PREY TO THESE VULT...

DO NOT FALL PREY TO THESE VULTURES! At first, I was pleased with the examination of my new puppy and the prices of the service I received 4 weeks ago. On the first visit, the vet told me my puppy had both round worm and hook worm and offered one fix-it-all pill for $20 and another medicine that was way out of my price range. I was given a stern talking about how important it is to act now to prevent later. I told him that the owner of the puppy had given her a de-wormer and flea medicine a week before I picked her up. Since she had already had her de-wormer given one week prior, I didn't want to give her anything else for fear it would cause a side-effect. He insisted that if a vet didn’t give her the medicine, it didn’t count. I then doubted what the vet said he saw, as I had not seen any worms in her poo and haven't seen any in the last 4 weeks that I've had it. Today, I took her back for her second exam and set of shots. He didn't examine her at all. The nurse took her weight and temperature then he came in and gave her the shots and walked out of the room. He didn't ask me questions or ask if I had any concerns or questions. So, I asked the nurse if I could speak to the vet really quickly. I asked if he could check her again for worms before I gave her anything else. At this point he became agitated and snapped at me. He raised his voice telling me that he wasn't going to waste his time testing if I wasn't going to buy the de-wormer from him. I was caught completely off guard! I asked if I could come back for her last set of shots in a month and get a prescription for the 3 in 1 worm, tick, and flea chewable. He declined and said he wouldn't help anyone that didn't buy the medicine he offered. Now, I don't know what vet's make and I am far from an expert on that kind of work but I think this guy was completely out-of-line and his primary focus was on the green dollar and not the health of my puppy. If he doesn't want to help people that can't afford his overpriced worm medicines and at least bring him business by getting their shots, then I have no desire to take my puppy there again. Sadly, he just lost out an opportunity for another set of shots, rabies shot, and spay. I'll take my business elsewhere, find a vet that will treat me like a human being and give me the prescription I need to make sure I have a healthy animal. There was no need for his tantrum. I now firmly believe this place is a fraud and shouldn't be caring for pets.

Last week, my German Shepherd ...

Last week, my German Shepherd died suddenly after being diagnosed with cancer only 3 weeks prior. My husband drove his body to Animal Hospital-FM 529 to have his body disposed of. While the staff was sympathetic, we learned they charged $115 for the service. I was dumbfounded! While devastated and sobbing, I started calling other vet offices for a more reasonable price. Fortunately, the next vet I called only charged $57. A couple days later I told 2 of my neighbors and they both explained how they've had the same experience and avoid this business for the same reason.

Horrible

I took my dog to be kennelled at 529 Animal clinic. When I took him he had loose stool, so Dr. Ansari examined him and told me he had worms. They gave him medicine & a special diet. When I picked him up I was told he was fine & no longer had loose stool. Of course, I take him home, and he still had loose stool. I called the clinic & was told to bring in a sample & they would test it again. I had to call several times for the results & was told Dr. Ansari was very busy, mind you my dog now had loose stool for an entire week! Due to the lack of concern & abruptness on his part, I took my dog to his regular veterinarian who has since fixed the problem immediately after taking him. I called 529 Animal hospital to get records of the recent shots Bordatella & Parvo they gave him and was told they were not allowed to fax records out, funny because they took my dogs records through fax when they needed them. I arranged for a friend to pick up the records with an official records release form & they refused to give them to her. I could here Dr. Ansari saying he would not release the records to her & no intentions of releasing them to me either. I asked to speak with him and he would not get on the phone. Bottom line is this. He is rude, ignorant, careless, and if you want copies of records for whatever reason, he will refuse. If he cared about my dog he would give the shot records so my dog won't have to get the same two shots that are needed every 6 mos. to a year. What he is doing is unethical and illegal!
