We bought our Doberman puppy from Jane 6 years ago, and where ever we go, I always get compliments about what a beautiful dog she is. So apart from being a GREAT breeder, Jane takes EXCELLENT care of all of our dogs, we have 3, a min phin and a husky rescue. We have been boarding our dogs since they've been puppies. All the dogs are in excellent condition whenever we pick them up. There always bathed and happy. Jane is very caring to all of our dogs, as if they were the little puppy she brought into the world 6 years ago. So when we go on vacation we can rest assure that our dogs are on vacation too. My husband is a Pilot, so we do alot of last minute trips, and Jane is very flexible with our crazy schedule. Great care and very affordable.
I had to go out of town unexpectedly, and eventhough it was 7:00 on a Sunday night they still opened up for me. I have to admit I was a little hesitant about leaving my dogs so unexpectedly, Jane and Wendy put me totally at ease. Wendy even picked up my pitbull and gave her hugs and kisses without even knowing her!!! my dog THRIVED at that! They are totally 100% dog people...my dogs never even looked back as they were walking away tails wagging!
Being from out of town on last minutes notice, I was a bit apprehensive, but after this experience, my dogs WILL NEVER go anywhere again. Trust me, I have boarded my babies elsewhere and they have never been so happy!!! Kudos Cypress Boarding Kennels!

I have boarded Great Dane, Dobermans and Mini Dachs with Jane and Peter numerous times a year for 7 years. The dogs have been from puppy to geriatric in age, show dogs and pets, and have all needed very individual attention and care due to age, breed and medical conditions.
After boarding dogs in several countries, I have found this to be the best facility! Jane and Peter have gone out of their way to be flexible and caring for our dogs. The dogs have always been in excellent condition when we have picked them up. Our dogs are even hand- walked several times a day. Due to Jane and Peter's long long experience in caring for canines the dogs get attention, food and medication geared to their individual needs and we can travel without too much worry ( I always worry about the ""little"" ones). The communication with the kennel has been very good, and as long as we live in Texas we will continue to board with them.
The previous review must have had a very unusual experience with his dogs. Always remember when boarding your dogs to bring their food, medications, toys and bedding, as well as your vet information. If you leave instructions about behavioral needs and being ""special"", that will be tended to as well. This is a very different facility from a huge dog kennel!
When we pick up the dogs, the bedding have always been washed and the dogs have been bathed.
What is truly remarkable; that the dogs are happy when we drop them off as well as when they are picked up.

I have left my show dogs at this facility for over 8 years. When I have picked them up, they were always, happy, clean, and healthy.. Peter and Jane have been very good to let me get my dogs any time I returned from a trip, even after hours. They have been easy to deal with, and will continue to use their kennel in the future.

I was very fortunate that my dogs survived this place! I had to leave town last minute due to a death in the family during spring break. Every place was full, but Peter agreed to take my dogs due to our circumstances. He even let me drop off on Sunday afternoon, during off hours. I thought all was well...until we returned.
I came home to a strange message from someone who said they had our dogs. They found them out late at night running on Grant in the rain. They both had their leashes attached to their collars. This message was left the night after we left. I called the people back and they told me they took them to the kennel to see if they belonged there, since it was near by. Peter was drunk and said he had no idea who these dogs were, but finally begrudgingly took in the ""strays"".
I asked him about this when I went to pick up my dogs, and he said that they were NEVER out and it was ridiculous to think so. He said that the dogs those people brought in were some other dogs, but not mine. He had no explanation for how these people had my number or why they called me, however.
The dogs were also filthy. They wreaked of feces so bad that I nearly threw up on the way home. I had to drive with all the windows open and it was still nasty. Don't ever use these people to care for your pets!
