These include subwoofers, speakers, changers, processors and navigational and multimedia products. The company also supplies marine audio products that are water-resistant and UV-resistant, as well as Sirius satellite radio plug and play receivers. Clarion has its beginnings in 1940, when the Hakusan Wireless Electric Company began to manufacture and sell battery-operated radios for household use. The company launched the Clarion brand in 1947, and since then has become a supplier of audio equipment to car manufacturers worldwide.
