Agreed, Definitely Not Kid Friendly

I stopped in with my 3 boys for haircuts yesterday and the great mood of the beautiful spring day quickly went sour. We were told we had to wait and that was fine; no problem-- however the person entering the information from the sign-in sheet was rude to start; no friendly greeting-- almost like"" what do you want?""

My 10 year-old did fine and the stylist handled his age and was friendly enough; not overly so but it really was okay. However, my 4 year-old was in the chair next to him with a different stylist that never uttered a single word to him; did not even look at him. I kept trying to encourage him-- we was so excited to be getting his first buzz cut and it was as if he wasn't even in the chair. I completely understand that they probably deal with a more adult clientele; but the previous customer is right on; in a time where jobs are few and far between , you would think that ones lucky enough to have one would treat customers with care and at the very least courteous. It was rude and absurd behavior towards a little guy that, like any 4 year old, was needing reassurance from the rude person with clippers in her hand!

My one year-old did have a fit and the stylist handled his crying and screaming very well but it was not the same one that did my 4 year old.

I also had someone in my family tell me today how she was extra rude to my 4 yo when he was getting out of the chair. I had my back turned getting the 1 yo ready for his turn.

Again, realizing that kids are not welcome there, I will try another place; voting to spend the dollars elsewhere.

Not kid friendly

I am giving two stars because the haircuts were good but the two ladies were not friendly. I brought both of my sons in to get their haircuts. Their hair was cut by two different women. Both women did not engage in either child when they sat in the chairs. One lady (blonde hair and glasses) tried to use clippers to cut my son's hair and I let her know that the sound of the clippers would scare my son. Immediately she became obviously annoyed by this. She then began cutting his hair and only spoke to him giving directions of which way to move his head. He is only 4 yrs old and was being very cooperative and very still for her which is hard. She did try to use the clippers on his neck which he did disapprove of. She rolled her eyes and I told her he looked great and not to worry about the neck hair. She tried to blow-dry the hair off of him but he became frightened. I told her I could get it. She then took the ticket to the front desk. Little did she know I had another family member sitting in the waiting area that saw her roll her eyes again. I could see if my son had not done what she had said and was crying and screaming but this was NOT the case. Needless to say I am really disappointed because I was hoping this could be the place we could count on for years to come. In a time like this where people are begging for jobs you would think they would try to be nice so people will continue to go there. Good haircuts but terrible attitudes.
