The Allegany County Public School System provides educational and extracurricular programs for more than 10,000 students in prekindergarten through grade12. Curriculum offered by the schools includes mathematics, science, social studies, fine arts, and technology. Its fine art program includes ballet, cartooning, jazz and blues, contemporary dance, theater, storytelling, woodturning, poetry, drums, art styles and world culture, and abstract art. Its special education program offers child find clinic, deaf education, behavior, infant and toddler, and preschool programs, transitioning, inclusion, related services, and programs for students with autism. The Allegany County Public School System offers meals, as well as an online library system. It is located in Cumberland, Md.
