Culver City Smog Center

They are lucky to get even one star. took my 2006 WRX to this place. Well, it didn't pass the test. No big deal, just get the car fixed, right? Well, not really, that's not why I'm writing this review.



To make a long story short, I took my car to another place right after this place, and it passed. So I do not recommend this place to anyone. Period.



I don't see how this place got good ratings here, because the service sucked too, and Culver Automotive, whom they share a lot with, has tried to scam my wife with her Honda Accord's transmission problem, so I think people should avoid taking their cars to either places.



Here is the long version: After I failed the initial smog test, I took my car straight over to Santa Monica Subaru where I get my car maintained, and told them what happened. They ran a diagnostic, performed the test and passed, and found that there was no issue with the car whatsoever.



I asked the tech there why I didn't pass the first time, and they said the only reason they could think of is that Culver City Smog didn't perform the test correctly.



What sucks is that since there was nothing wrong with the car, but the test was ill-performed, I was stuck with the $110 diagnostic fee, which could've been avoided if I took my car to a more reputable place.



I do not think I'm ever going to take my car there anymore.
