I’ve boarded my dogs at Mountain Run on numerous occasions. The staff is knowledgeable and friendly. They call if there are concerns with my fur kids and my fur babies love it there. Room to run and play and they get a wonderful bath to come home smelling lovely. Great place, people and care professionals.

I’ve been boarding my dogs at Mountain Run for 5 years. I have complete trust in the staff and know my dogs are well cared for and loved during each and every visit. They are there now and I have absolutely no worries! I ❤️ Mountain Run kennel. Thank you for all you do but especially for the peace of mind when leaving them in your care.

Do not trust these people with your animal. A friends dog required vet treatment after his stay and the owner hung up on him when he called to discuss the situation.

I left my dogs with Mountain Run Kennel for 10 days. They both lost significant weight in this time. My one dog lost 8 pounds in those 10 days. He also had a bad rash covering the entire underside of his body, for which the vet prescribed steroids. Finally, he had a major injury to his tail, that required bandaging and antibiotics from the vet, who says amputation is a possibility if it doesn't get better. When I suggested to the owner of the facility on the phone that her people were negligent in their care of my dogs, she hung up on me.

BEWARE! Ask a lot of questions before you decide regarding billing. I recently used this facility and was charged $100 for dropping my dog off at 5:28 after spending 1:45 min in traffic due to an accident. It is normally a 50 min drive. I called an hour ahead when I realized I would be there later than planned and found out they only took drop offs until 5pm. It was not clear until later they charge this exorbitant "late fee" and wouldn't consider waiving/reducing it for exceptional circumstances. The late fee should have been more than the boarding except I was charged for 4 days even though my dog was only there 3 from Friday at 5:28pm to Monday at 5pm. Any pick up after 10am is charged as another full day. My bill for 3 days of care was $240.00.

Overall
the only place we will board our treasured greyhounds.

Staff went out of their way to accomodate us . Put coats on our 3 greyhounds for turnouts, walked and excercised them several times per day, stayed in room with them during feeding to ensure that the most submissive dog got to eat without interference. Our 3 stayed together loose in a large room ,had large raised beds with clean mattresses covered with clean sheets and blankets, a full glass door they could see out of. They got lots of social interaction and exercise. The turn-out area was a huge, fenced, beautifully maintained lawn. The entire kennel and surrounding outside was impressively clean and well kept. Everything new -looking, odor-free, and safe for dogs- Staff was friendly and not resentful of my daily check-in phone calls --also a big plus. I would expect to pay more for this type of suite boarding , but for 3 large dogs , I found it reasonableconsidering the extra perks and quality of care. Staff seems knowledge, willing to go that extra mile, and truly fond of the dogs. Everything you could hope for when you have to leave your dogs.

EXPENSIVE!!!

They cost twice as much as the rest of the kennels in the area and they do not disclose all of what they charge.

Will not return

We had a lot of issues with this place and will not return. They overcharge for their services. They also charge you for giving the dog a bath that you do not ask for.
