Do NOT use the car wash on corner of Hwy 157 and Hwy 31 Cullman AL. Paid for the $10.00 wash that says tires and wheels but the wash didn't clean tires nor wheels and the young men who works there was inconsiderate and rude. This company needs a complaint number with an adult to speak with!
Bad ! Don't go to Zippys @ corner of 157 & 31 in Cullman ! It left soap on 1/2 of the car $ they said they would fix it but refused when they said I only bought a $6.00 wash . The guy said it was the fault of. my Acura MDX ! Also the vacuums don't suck. Well, Zippys Carwash sucks!
so, i have been to zippys many, many times. never had a complaint until 5/24/13. i went through, paid for the 14 dollar wash, and came out with no antenna. i didnt vacuum my car so i didnt notice the antenna until i got home. my husband immediately called and of course no answer. he went up there and told them what happened and they asked for pictures. we sent them pictures. they then said they have to review their video to see if i infact lost my antenna in the wash but they assured me it would be taken care of. they called about a week later and said i indeed lost my antenna inside the wash but the regional manager had to approve the replacement of the antenna. another week went by and still no answers from them. after another week they finally called us and said they are not going to replace the antenna due to the age of my car. it could have been broken before i went in they said. now i am stuck replacing the 87 dollar antenna on my audi. i cant believe the way they treat their customers. consider me and my family former customers because we will never go back there again
I've given this car wash a couple of chances, and every time my front end is still dirty, and sometimes the back end is, too. Once I drove by to get a car wash during normal hours and the whole place was just shut down. Today, the vacuum I used barely worked and again my front end is still dirty. Judging by other reviews, it seems everyone is having problems. You would think the manager or owner would want to do something about it. I will not be going back.
I am here at Zippy's waiting to speak to the Manager about the car wash I received yesterday. I got in line and asked for a redo because the back of my vehicle was not hand brushed by employees in the rear. I asked to talk to manager and I was in the line to be washed and the manager sent his employee out and said he couldn't meet with me for 30 or 40 minutes. I told employee I would wait in the wash line. Then the employee came back and said the manager would call the police if I insisted on staying in the wash line while waiting to speak with him. Mr. Manager just now informed me that one never has rear of vehicle washed for the 7 dollar wash. This has not been my experience in the many washes I have received here. I was in shock and awe that a manager of any business would find it necessary to threaten a 60 year old woman with police action rather than come out to meet with me face to face and resolve a problem. Needless to say, I will be finding a different car wash in the future. If a simple request for a redo on a shabby car wash warrants police involvement rather than consumer resolution, this is not where I will spend my business dollars. Imagine if my complaint had involved damages in excess of 7 dollars. What kind of treatment would I have been threatened with at that point?
Please see photo 1 for the AFTER picture.
I had gotten new tires and the grease pencil was left on my wheels (don't they usually remove this???). I went to zippy's and paid the $10 wash that included tires. The dust from my brakes were still there, the grease pencil hadn't even faded! I went and got the guy that worked there and he said..."you will probably have to go somewhere where you can wash it off." Seriously. After he saw me taking pictures, he came over and said that if it was still there when I came back (o_O) I could pay for the more expensive wash and...This is where I interrupted and said I wouldn't come back. I really don't even want to give this place 1 star. I tried to call and all you get is an answering machine to leave a message at the tone and then it switches to a fax machine!
Do not go here until they fix the issue with their card swiping machine. I had around $600 stolen from my account after using this place and an investigator at CPD told me that I was one of several!! If you go, use cash and still beware!!! (Apparently it is not Zippy's fault, they were hacked. But still....)
After paying for a $10.00 car wash and noticing half way through the main washer for the top and sides was not working at all, I ask for a refund and they told me they knew it wasn't working and didn't give refunds and the manager was not there. I ask them if they were telling the people about the equipment not working that washed your car and they said, "No because it would run their business?. So I said, " I will do it for them", I started going down the line of cars telling them that the equipment was not working that scrubbed their cars and that they was not getting what they paid for. After about 3rd car the Zippy's man told me to leave because I was hurting their business. So I left and found a State Trooper and he told me that he could not do anything about it. But I could spread the word in the paper and other places along with the BBB. "Freedom of Speech". He also told me that he gets his car washed at the car wash at Krystal's. Someone on Cullman live told me to go to Granny's car wash at Good-Hope. Zippy's is not my place of business anymore!
me and my grandmother wanted to wash her car so we stopped at Zippy's. The young man guiding her could clearly see she could not make the turn so instead of telling her to stop back up and try it again he just told her to keep turning. POP! there went a 300 hundred dollar tire. There was not a sorry but there was the words" i told you to turn!". So from this point we are pulled off to the side as they try to change our tire correctly and when i say try i mean it took 2 and a half hours and it was done poorly. They were ever rude, not once did the young man that caused the issue come and help or say it was his fault. After the tire was changed poorly my grandmother asked for the general manger's name or a number to call. She was told,"No, that is against the rules and it is my job not to give you that information." And he goes on to yell and throw the tools back into car and saying" That is the thanks i get for helping you out. I didnt have to change your tire anyway lady." As we drive off we hear radling and realize the cord that holds up the actually tire was not put back, was dragging on the road and could have hit another car or damaged our car.
i will never go back there and i hope no one has to go through the day we have.
I ran my car through the Zippy Carwash today in Cullman Al.
I purchased the 10 dollar wash, which included under carriage wash.
When I arrived at my destination there was red clay still caked in my wheel wells.
So I called thinking maybe it was just over looked.
It was then implied I was a liar. The young man I spoke with
wanted me to bring the car back in today. I explained to him it wasn't a 5 minute trip back.
I had a scheduled trip back to Cullman the next day and inquired if this would be agreeable.
Again to my astonishment I was told some people have driven their cars thru the mud just for a return free trip thru zippys car wash. I explained that was not my intention, I merely wanted what I had paid for. I was informed they would not accomidate my needs.
So if ten dollars means something to you, I suggest you drive on by the next time you pass a zippy's carwash.
I will speak with the G.M of Zippy's tomorrow and will update the outcome of my carwash saga.
May the force be with me....
